5 out of 5 eggsGood for the $

Pros: Good Price
Free Shipping
Thermal Grease INCLUDED
Fits as advertised
Pretty Darn Quiet
The power cable is not too long so it doesn't get caught up in other fans

Cons: I can't think of a one

Other Thoughts: I wanted a CPU fan that was quieter then what I had on my AM2. At this low price this model was worth a shot. I have had several Zalman CPU coolers over the years and did not regretted buying Zalman. I still don't. The install was a breeze.

Consider what you want the cooler to do. If it is just to be silent this is a good choice. It won't cool your i7 Humpa Humpa gaming rig CPU though

5 out of 5 eggsGood and Cheap

Pros: - Quiet
- Superior to my stock cooler
- Cheap

Cons: After well over a year I haven't experience any cons.

Other Thoughts: I bought this after installing a higher end CPU on an old computer. The stock cooler wasn't up to par and I didn't want to spend a lot on a heatsink and fan for an old computer. This greatly improved the temperatures and even after a year it's as quiet as a church mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the price

Pros: -Very quiet
-Decent cooling
-Easy to install/uninstall

Cons: -Covers most, but not all of the processor
-Could be cooler

Other Thoughts: At 35-38c idle and 70-75c during most games, it's only marginally cooler than my stock, but the temperature wasn't the reason that one needed replacing, it was the noise. This one did a great job at resolving that problem. At it's absolute loudest, it's akin to the distant whir of the freeway on a cold morning.

Good longevity, too. It performed great for the 11 months or so before I decided to upgrade to a colder cooler (also from Zalman; these guys are my go-to).

5 out of 5 eggsNearly Silent

Pros: Very nearly silent. I installed this in my computer more than a year ago. With a high-quality psu, SSD, and no case fans, for a long time I couldn't even tell if my computer was on or not unless I put my ear right up to the side of the case. I paid ten bucks and I couldn't have been happier.

Cons: Over time, the fan has gotten a little bit louder. I am very picky about noise, and I still find it tolerable. At this point I would call the noise barely perceptable.

Other Thoughts: I'm not pushing my computer to do anything other than basic web browsing, some HD video watching, and music listening.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cool look

Cons: The clip support seems to only fit on an intel motherboard. Doesn't line up with either my am3 or am3+ boards.

Other Thoughts: Looks cool and probably be a great fan if it actually fit the sockets it says it does.

4 out of 5 eggsProbably OK for Modern CPUs

Pros: Nice design
Good size
Low profile

Cons: Inadequately cools my AM2 processor
Base does not cover entire CPU heat spreader
Fan quite loud at top speed
No heatpipes, but that's why it's cheap
Base is not smooth, has some rough texture

Other Thoughts: I got this for my HTPC, which is using an old AM2 board with an Athlon 64 X2 5000+, which is 65 watts. Can't find anywhere that says what the max wattage this cooler can handle, but for the physical size 65 watts should be no problem. Watching 1080p youtube pushes the CPU temps into the high 60's. At that temp the fan is going at about 2700 RPM, and is quite loud, loud enough to hear over whatever I'm watching.

The only reason I can think of for the cooler not being able to keep temps down are either the base not covering the whole heat spreader, or it just can't handle the heat this old processor produces.

So, I'm going to have to find a better low profile cooler that can be silent and keep my processor cool. Maybe one with heatpipes. Or a larger fan.

5 out of 5 eggsCool looking

Pros: This did well on a haswell i3. Temps were great. It looks cool and is quiet. It is larger than it looks in the pictures.

Cons: On a test computer under prime 95 this will not work on an i7 4770. It will do fine under daily loads and lite gaming but at 100% my the PC over heated 5 minutes into prime. I have good cable managment and 4 120mm fans in the case with it. So I would not use this on an i7 if you are going to use it for gaming.

Other Thoughts: i3 great
i5 should work
i7 not enough cooling

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Fan

Pros: The fan is a 4 pin PWM, Large Al heatsink. All good things (you probably don't need copper).

I snapped my old mounting bracket on my server and bought this fan assuming the circular plastic mounting bracket would fit right to my AM2+ MOBO. I was wrong, but that is my fault. Some JB Weld and a couple screws fixed that problem up...

The product is quiet but like all mechanical devices time will tell how the bearings hold up. It is a strong selling point that they are fluid bearings but for the modest price of 15.99 I would question the quality of the fluid and its enclosure, like the oil in your I can only assume it will break down over time.

Cons: No cons that I could identify, time will tell.

Other Thoughts: Should have bought a mounting bracket instead of rigging my busted one.

Don't forget to enter your BIOS or UEFI (or whatever kids are using these days) and change the configuration to 4 pin PWM is you are upgrading from a 8 year old stock fan!
