3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low price, good cooling capabilities though i don't have any of the temps.

Cons: Won't work with select motherboards at all, will work with others, though you'll have to "bend" other heatsinks out of the way..

Other Thoughts: I used this in an old MSI mobo with a old dualcore Intel CPU...I wanted to put this in an upgrade for that same system using a Asus Z77-A (LGA 1155) but it won't fit. I assume it'll fit other 1155's but the bracket holes don't line up with the mobo holes...I ended up using the stock sink and fan...

2 out of 5 eggsBroken Clips...

Pros: Was unable to complete my build and missed my RMA period to get it returned due to personal problems. Had to go with an older heatsink and fan that a friend gave me.

Cons: The clip broke... I mean the moment I tried to install it onto the board, it just snapped in half. Rendered this fan and heatsink completely unusable.

Other Thoughts: Could have been worse... I could have paid more for it. At least the price was in line with what I had been looking tos pend. Unfortunately you get what you pay for...

2 out of 5 eggsGood, but with issues.

Pros: Fits on a selection of motherboards, decently priced and well made for the cost. The zalman I replaced it with I had been running in my system with for approx 5 years.

Cons: Fan has a high pitched whine that is partially audible and partially on a frequency that sets my teeth on edge.

Other Thoughts: I may end up replacing it with a more expensive fan from the same manufacturer since I had better luck with my previous one. You pay for what you get.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap, quiet, but useless

Pros: Super quiet, easy to install, fits small cases and doesn't block ram.

Cons: Does not cool sufficiently. CPU temps just keep rising until it shuts off, even at idle.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to quietly cool a A6 5400k. Even with the case open, it still can't keep temps within operating range. Removed and reinstalled several times with same result. Tried the stock cooler and it works perfectly but is much louder.

2 out of 5 eggsCould be more quiet

Pros: The fan "quiet" for the price.

Cons: Warning ! This fan has only 3 pin. My MSI motherboard won't control the speed of the fan. I had to plug it on the system fan connector which can control the speed by voltage.

4 out of 5 eggsExtremely quiet.

Pros: Extremely quiet, just what I was looking for to use in a media center pc, and very cheap. Extremely easy to install for a zalman fan and installs similar to newer cpu fans without having to remove the motherboard to install a back plate.

Cons: Downgraded from a zalman 9700 and there is definitely a difference in build quality. However, for the price it is understandable.

Other Thoughts: This fan was not meant for my q6600 cpu but I am using it anyway, at least temporarily. It runs at max just about all the time but keeps the cpu cool enough and for the price and noise reduction it was well worth it. If you need better cooling I would recommend a more expensive version with a larger fan and bigger heat sink. I've been using the 9700 for a couple of years and wish it would fit in my media center case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Better then stock cooler, fit mini-itx mother board.
replaced stock cooler for i5-3570k on Asrock z77 itx board.
the cooler almost touch the video card, its like 1 mm for it.

Cons: It only cool down about 5 degrees then the intel cooler.

Other Thoughts: I play Total War Rome 2 with my PC, The CPU get up to 80 degree C when its about 50% load, I would go for water cooling if I can, but sadly my case is Elite120, and I dont want to adjust the case for put a water cooling system in, and I dont have the tools to do it too.

5 out of 5 eggsARod

Pros: Installed without any trouble on an MSI mini-ITX board with FM2 socket. Works as advertised, very quiet and keeps the A6-6400K cooler than the stock heatsink. Low profile, it fit in the SilverStone SG05B case with lots of room to spare.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For the money it's no-brainer. Great little cooler with a quiet fan.
