Cooool~~~
- Pros: Make my HD4670 very cool.
- Cons: Take half an hour to install.
But well worth the effort.
Great cooler
- Pros: Keeps GPU cool enough (GeForce 8600+) at under 85C while running games(inside a warm case), which is of course well under the 135C max spec on most GPUs).
Dead Silent

Somewhat difficult to install. Anyone who is willing to buy such a device should already know this from doing a small amount of research, and be should willing to do some assembly.
Will be difficult and messy(tons of thermal grease used) to take off and install on a new GPU, for let's say an upgrade in a year or two). It's not impossible, will just be messy.
The tabs on the last step of installation that hold both sides together did not really fit, but is truely unncessesary.
It's wide. You will not be able to use the PCI and/or PCIE-1X on either side of your Graphics port. so if you are installing on a mini-ATX or smaller, you will basically only have one extra PCI slot free at the bottom of the MB
- Other Thoughts: GeForce 8600+ runs at 65C (inside a warm case) while doing desktop work.
Took about 30 minutes to install properly(and I'm an engineer).
Zalman heatpipe cooler
- Pros: Excellent passive cooling. My case is cooled by only 1 120 and 2 80mm fans (including PSU) and this passive cooler works fine with my older AGP video card.
- Cons: PITA to install!! I've installed plenty of aftermarket coolers on video cards and this one was easily the worst. Took me over an hour.
- Other Thoughts: I have other passive coolers installed on my newer 8800 gt cards that took about 15 minutes to install each. This was my worst aftermarket cooler installation experience. Now that the cooler is installed it works great and does what I wanted. Makes my case a little quieter and makes me happy! If you don't have any experience with aftermarket coolers I'd probably recommend you keep shopping. If you have the patience and don't mind fooling around with this for awhile then no problem right? Also scrap the included thermal paste and buy some Arctic Silver 5. You can get enough AS 5 to do 10 of these cards for only $5. Comes in real handy when mounting fans to cpus too.
