    5 out of 5 eggsSickness

Pros: It works great! I have had it more then one year, and it has been strong the whole time. I had my cpu OC for the longest time ever, and never had a problem.

Cons: Nothing that I could find.

Other Thoughts: It is really big, make sure your case has space to support it. Also it glows read, always awesome.

    5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is probably the best heatsink you can buy. I can overclock my p4 to 3.2 with this easily running at about 30C under full load with dual primes going.

The secret is to get skilled with your thermal paste for the people having high temps. I go about 1 or 2 grains of uncooked rice before spreading no more, just a little does it to much is just as bad as not enough.

Cons: its heavy but not really as bad as it seems. If you replace the plastic brackets with metal ones you won't have any damage from moving it with it on. Most commonly the reason people get damage from heavy heatsinks is the plastic brackets break when you move them.

this wont fit with the metal bracket replacements without a little dremmel work to the bracket, an hour of grinding to get it to fit since i broke like 4 of the horrible plastic plastic retention brackets

5 out of 5 eggsThe best there is and ever was.

Pros: 51 degees farenheit idle with X3460. Not withstanding that, this HSF is incontrovertably the best there is and ever was. Anyone with an eye for the obvious and with a basic knowledge of physics will likely agree.

    Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: They complained the weight of this unit could damage the motherboard if the computer was jostled. Are you kidding? The leverage of new high profile units is far more likely to break a socket or board.

    4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap. Fits well no drama at all installing. Back reinforce plate height just right. Nice compressed sheet metal (not full block) conduction surface with minimum cracks (still a little, visible by eyeballing).

Cons: I have 3 120mm fans on the case, all recessed indirect operation and with maximum rpm, this fan is loud enough to overcome all these fan noise. I notice this immediately after installation. Too bad the plug only has 3 legs so no speed control :(

Other Thoughts: Still will buy even it's kind of loud. Can't beat that price.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: I had a stock Intel cooler which wasn't very good, it did it's job but I didn't even want to think of oc. I'm planning to do it now that I have this one. The temp drop was noticeable and i'm happy with the results.

Cons: It's loud, my other fan was silent but this one is pretty loud. If you don't mind the sound then don't worry about it. I had to lift my mobo in order to place a part under it which was just a hassle. Not sure if that's only for the Intel socket 775 or for all compatible sockets. Also pretty big, make sure there is nothing on your mobo that might get in the way.

Other Thoughts: I got it as a shell shocker deal so i can't complain about it at all, it works wonders for the price i got it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Product

Pros: I was using stock HSF on E8500 C2D. Stock Temps were as follows: Idle-36C/36C Load-78C/76C. With the new HSF as follows: Idle-36C/36C Load-50C/48C. Huge difference. I would definitely recommend this product. I was very impressed.

    Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: I am a very happy customer.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Sweet

Pros: Well, it works just as advertised. Check out some of the different tech sites to see what the actual cooling specs are. But, on my build, it's on an old P4 3.0 HT oc'd to 3.6. With the stock cooler that came with my old celeron, it was idling at 65C and under regular use seeing the sunny side of 70C. With this on there, it idles around 52C and under regular use gets to about 58C. That's a pretty big change. It's not like a water block or anything but very good air solution.

Cons: Not really a con if you think about it, but the picture just don't do it justice. It's f'in HUGE!!!. So make sure your case can accomodate it because it sticks off, from center of the processor, about 2" to 2.5". But, duh, it is a 120mm fan so just be prepared.

Other Thoughts: I read some reviews saying that install was difficult and that the manual provides no guidance. Don't be fooled. I received a manual and it had basic, though perfectly thorough, instructions on install. Also, make sure you plug it in and then install unless your power jack is away from the CPU. Mine actually covered the connector on the mobo. I got mine at a steal. At the current price, it's steal a good bargain for what you get. I highly recommend to anyone who needs a good air cooling solution.

4 out of 5 eggsNice looking CPU fan/heatsink that works

Pros: Keeps my computer cool, under 35 degress under normal usage. Works very well, that I can disconnect some of my some of the computer fans. The price has dropped since I bought mine. So, it is a great time to get another one.

Cons: It's a little bit big and a little bit tricky to install. It should fit almost every motherboard, but it is a little bit heavy. If you follow the directions, there shouldn't be a problem.

Other Thoughts: Unless you have a see through panel, you will miss the nice bright red light when the cpu fan is spinning. It looks like a red Margarita cocktail glass.

5 out of 5 eggsYes, There Is An Adapter

Pros: Yes, There Is An Adapter. And for the 1156 socket as well. Check Zalman's site.

Cons: I would like to know how to eliminate the red LED. I would like to see blue and green choices.

Other Thoughts: This is the simplest, best, and highest quality sink and fan you can imagine. Become proficient with thermal paste. Another contributor put it well: wipe off residue until you have an even translucent film of paste and so you can at least read the CPU markings through it all. That's a big secret.
