5 out of 5 eggsUnderestimated

Pros: Aggressive cooler
Very quiet
Pretty colors? + 1 EGG?
All joking aside, this is an absolute power packed cooler. it fit snug in my Mid Tower case and is the most awesome cooler I have owned. I was looking to spend close to 50$ for a cooler and I am so very surprised that this little guy can keep my i5 4690K running at MAX 43 Degrees Celsius under heavy load. It's phenomenal and a great purchase on my part.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Easy Install
A little bulky
Make sure you have room for the huge heat-sink.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler!

Pros: This is a great CPU cooler for the price, my liquid cooling just died after about 5 years and I decided to switch to a standard CPU cooler and man did I get the right one.

- Pure Cooper heat sink ++
- Super easy install
- Using the manual fan speed adjuster is great, at lowest speed you can't hear the fan at all.
- Idles my AMD Phenom II X4 956 3.4GHz at round 28C
- Was able to overclock my CPU to 3.9 and it still stayed very cool
- Played BF4(Battlefield 4) at full ultra settings and it never went above 60C
- LED blue light looks cool :D

Cons: Only one thing bothered me. If you do have an AMD CPU, the bracket that comes with it to hold the cooler in place isn't the best. Once installed I could turn the cooler very easily (like sliding it on the CPU) it doesn't affect it by any means, just wish they would have made it a little more sturdy like for Intel CPU's. Which holds it with actual screws.

Other Thoughts: Overall great cooler, worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsis 20 degrees centigrade cool enough?

Pros: FROST BITE! WOW, this product will keep your unit cool, its sick copper based materials dissipate heat with perfect precision and it looks so cool with a blue light in a clear cover case front panel screen. I love ZALMAN based products, they work great, simple to install and are true quality. Just click "add to cart" you will be glad you did!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Personally I hate mail in rebates, they are not worth my time and I just ignore them, buy this product for what it is not because of price, don't worry if you pay retail because the cost of copper will go up in price over time as its an extremely valuable material that can be melted down and reused so its kind of like buying gold. Yet over the course of time you could hallucinate by pretending that you are copper fairy who sneaks into old computer cases in the middle of the night to remove the copper base and take it down to the local scrap yard to sell the material for a profit! By the way, I wish companies would stop offering mail in rebates, postage is expensive and time can not be replaced. If corporations want to offer consumers an incentive to buy, just keep the price low or offer an instant rebate or promo code, good grief I hate mail in rebates with a passion and refuse to participate because time is not money. When installing I tend to skip the control knob accessory, seriously how often are you going to adjust fan speed? Regardless this is a great product! Better than liquid cooling because it does not leak and based on my twenty year experience I have yet to see any other competitor out last this brand. I still have a 15 year old model running to this day. ZALMAN ROCKS!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPrett dang good.

Pros: It's pretty cool.

Also, mine came with it's own thermal paste :)

Cons: Instructions are very brief. Hard to know for certain if I did it right, but I'm sitting at 29C (84.2F) right now! on a 4GHZ i7!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Easy install
Looks cool
LED's look good
Like the look of the big copper coil
Fan controller
Quiet at low speed

Cons: Fan controller sticky tape is weak

Other Thoughts: Bought this instead of a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO because it was cheaper and it looked cooler. I like the adjustable fan controller, but it is sorta loud if you crank it all the way up. Easily fit in my full tower.

3 out of 5 eggsFunctional, but high fan speeds=loud

Pros: Keeps temps nice and cool while playing games. My idle temps are at 45-50c, which may seem like a lot, but when I go to play a video game like Battlefield 4, the temp usually only stays in the late 50c-early 60c.

Cons: The fan is pretty loud to the point that I can hear it through my headphones. And it's not really a consent speed. It goes super fast, and then it dies down for a bit and then goes super fast again. It also just generally makes odd-noises like a very slight buzz or hum. And for some reason you can hear the fan speed up and get loud and then die down again when you're doing minimal tasks such as opening up an internet browser or a new tab.

I made sure it wasn't any of my case fans making the noise, too. It's definitely the CPU cooler. I even tried modifying the fan speeds to the best of my ability in the motherboard BIOS, but nothing fixed it. For this reason, I'm switching over and getting CORSAIR Hydro Series H50.

Oh, and I was kind of careless with my instillation and cut myself on the almost-razor sharp copper blades. Multiple times. Make sure you have some band aids with you!

Other Thoughts: If fan speeds aren't a problem to you, and your generally use to a slightly loud computer, this will keep your temps down to a manageable level.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Choice!

Pros: This fan works great! I was able to cool off my processor from 98 degrees Fahrenheit to about 88 degrees, even after over clocking it 20% faster with it installed.

Cons: Installation was a bit finicky, but that's only a one time issue with this.

Other Thoughts: Great fan over all, and it looks kinda goofy, but in a good way.

3 out of 5 eggsNice looking cooler..

Pros: Fits in Asus Z97 Deluxe 1150 motherboard
Took me like 2 minutes to install.
Nice blue led

Cons: Just installed in my new build Asus Z97 Deluxe 1150 board. It worked for less then one minute, made some noise then fan stopped spinning... I have verified it was not touching the fins or anything else.

Other Thoughts: I have used these Zalman fans for years and never had any issues, looks like got the lemon this time. Will need to RMA it now. Not sure why people complain that its hard to install, its really easy. Installed old Zalman CNPS9700 fan until new replacement comes in. It is a lot bigger then this one.

5 out of 5 eggsNot much to say that hasn't already been said

Pros: -Affordable
-keeps your cpu nice and cool even when overclocking
-out performs any other fan style cooler that I have ever used
-fairly quiet
-durable, works for the longhaul
-Truly compatible with many different sockets unlike many other brands that claim to be, but in reality don't fit all the advertised sockets correctly.

Cons: none come to mind

Other Thoughts: This is simply the best cpu cooler in it's class/price range. I have tried many others only to be let down. Trust me if you are on the fence about spending an extra $10-$15 on this cooler over a more affordable one, it's well worth it. Don't waste your money on junk, you will only be cheating yourself. I have tried many of the other coolers in the $25-$70 price range and have always come back to the Zalman after being disappointed.

Some people have complained about the setup being a little bit hard. I guess some people never learned how to screw in two screws with a screwdriver.
