4 out of 5 eggsFits inside a Foxconn R10-G3/G4 power supply

Pros: Replaced a failing power supply fan in a Foxconn R10-G4 barebone, perfect fit. Least expensive of the limited 80x80x15 options. Noticeably quieter than the fan it replaced, but...

Cons: ...still not "quiet" enough for HTPC use. We run the 7.1 system loud enough to where it is generally a non-issue while watching stuff, but the power supply fan can be heard from about 8 feet away when all other components are on standby.

No 2-pin connector (I wasn't expecting one, but it would have allowed me to use the internal power supply fan connection without modification).

Other Thoughts: We'll see how long it lasts in this application. The Foxconn reviews make it abundantly clear that there is a design flaw in the power supply, and the original fan lasted about 18 months.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and efficient

Pros: Replaced one of two PSU fans with this one. Had to choose a 15 mm width fan due to the fact that it had to fit in the required space. Super quiet and moves decent air.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsOne Month Warrior

Pros: It worked for a month.

Cons: After one month of ownership, the fan now makes a noise as if someone is sticking something between the blades. It is mounted horizontally. It does not do this when turned vertically. I had to remove it.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm a fan of this fan

Pros: Correct size measurements so it fits (slim 15mm)
Two options for power connection
The fan runs at lower rpm and is QUIET if you use the proper setup
Also connects to four pin for max speed at all times
Official Kim Jong Il fan of choice

Cons: Not powerful enough to cool nuclear reactors

Other Thoughts: Good for case or CPU cooling

5 out of 5 eggsNice slim fans

Pros: Bought 4 of these for a case mod I was doing on a Silverstone RV01. I wanted thin fans (instead of the full 25mm thickness) to save space. These work great, push a good amount of air and are pretty quiet. Worked perfectly for what I used them for and are not expensive. Nice that they don't have stupid LED's on them or colored fan blades. Just a simple, reliable and effective case fan.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've used a number of Evercool cooling products and have never been disappointed.

2 out of 5 eggsThis fan is NOT <26db, except when it's off!

Pros: It moves a decent ammount of air.
It fits the CM 690ii advanced quite well for the behind the motherboard slot. Infact this is the only fan I have found which does.

Cons: This fan whirls air around in the case at a staggeringly loud 62db! I have unplugged the fan from the case because it seems to have no net effect on the temperature of the internal components but has a severly negative effect on my hearing.

Other Thoughts: It was only a few bucks. I didn't have high hopes to begin with despite the other supprisingly good reviews. Maybe I got a bad one, but it's not worth the trouble of RMA and it's not worth another 6 bucks to try a second one.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Good air volume, fits CM690 ii case (behind GB ud3r MB). No significant effect on core temp (maybe a degree or two), but dropped MCH (northbridge) temp 6 or 7 degrees C.

Inexpensive! Good value.

Cons: Somewhat loud at full speed (a little high pitch whine), but I haven't tried slowing it down some yet.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is always my first choice, but it was hard to find 80x15 fans using the search functions. There isn't a way to select by fan depth (eg. 15 mm, 25 mm, 38 mm,) There are an awful lot of 80 mm fans listed, but most are 25mm deep.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for CM690 II Advanced

Pros: It works great, and fits perfect into the CM 690 II Advanced rear-motherboard vent. It -DOES- have the plastic that connects the two sides of a screw hole, however for this particular case it was a non-issue. It is also rather quiet, even running straight off of molex.

Cons: None
