5 out of 5 eggsuse the screws that come with it

Pros: Works well for a small fan - price is reasonable - extra connection included - new screws were also thanfully included

Cons: at this point none

Other Thoughts: an HP desktop was equipped with this size of fan for the CPU. I thought that was weird too. But even weirder, out of the box, often times the CPU fan would hang and an error would appear that the fan had not started. Flick it with a finger and it would run until booted up again. The customer went to hittin the side and it would sometimes start. When I heard about that I talked them into changing the fan. Since I changed it with this one, everything is now fine. Maybe they still hit if for other reasons now, I don't know, but I hope not.
A HEADS UP: I first used the old screws but it would not tighten down. I looked closer and this fans screw holes were counter sunk and the old fans holes were flat on the surface thus the old screws were a mite longer. The screws that were included with the new fan were shorter and did not hit the bottom of the cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Quiet by comparison to anything else in my tower
40mm fits VRM/MOSFET heatsinks perfectly
Worked out of box
Air flow seems stable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought 4 of these to go with a 4 channel fan controller for my VRM/NB/MOSFET heatsink runner. I actually could've used one more, but the coverage is fine with 4. Had to secure them with twists as there are no mounts on the heatsink, but it works.

With these I feel much more comfortable pushing my OC up. I'm going to some a few OPT therms to get better reads on the temps, but at least now I have direct airflow through the heatsink that I lost when I went to H2O cpu cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsUseful little fan

Pros: Pretty quiet. Keeps my secondary pc's north bridge from melting all over the motherboard, so, big plus there.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan

Pros: - It's a fan
- It's cheap
- Quiet

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Initial reviews I read stated that this fan is kind of loud. I'm not hearing it. Bought this to attach to my Adaptec RAID 6805E Controller Card, as a lot of reviews said the thing would run hot without one. Fan runs smoothly and quietly, and the card stays cool.

Can't ask for much more than that.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: None

Cons: Fans did not even turn on, the second I plugged them into my evga super nova 1300w ps, I could smell a smoke smell from them.

They did not even turn, instant burn out.

Other Thoughts: If you have a high end power supply, and want to add 3x40mm fans as an exhaust in a bay drive, get some high end fans that can handle the power going through them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: Installed this on my Adaptec 6805 raid card. (currently running an 8 drive RAID 6.
Raid card reported before I installed the fan that the card was 71C.
After the installation (took 1 minute), the card reported 40C.

Definitely worth the cost

Cons: none so far

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Fans

Pros: I needed some small fans for additional cooling in a mini-ITX case after adding a low-profile video card. These little fans are quiet and move enough air in the small case to reduce the temp 10C. They come with an adapter for a 4-pin Molex connector, which is great as there is only one 3-pin fan connector on the motherboard. The fan wires + the 4-pin wires come to 18" in length which is very helpful for routing the wires. The depth of fan body is small, doesn't take up much space.

Cons: Supplied screw are too narrow, had to find others. Plastic used for the fan cage is very brittle, cracked when inserting larger screws, had to glue with plastic cement, Plastic packaging isn't recyclable.

Other Thoughts: If the manufacturer sized the screw hold the same as larger fans for accepting standard computer case fan screws that would make this little fan purchase absolutely perfect. I'll still buy more as they are the perfect size for adding to the back grill on a mini-ITX case.

5 out of 5 eggs40mm case fan

Pros: Move air around my aluminum boxes.

Cons: Noisy, but dB is listed, so they are what they are- no surprises.

Other Thoughts: They increased the overall loudness of my drive enclosure, but they're no louder than the ones that shipped with it originally and have lasted much longer.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this fan

Pros: Nice package.

Cons: I bought three of these fans to replace some older models of the same brand. You have to manually spin the blades for these fans to start. This is highway robbery. Its not even worth the cost of returning. You've been warned!
