4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, extremely quiet.

Cons: Only a 3pin board connector, no four pin molex connector, for a fan that does not move much air and is more often probably used as a secondary case fan.

Really lame eco themed packing and green case color.

Other Thoughts: Lose the green color and packing, add a four pin molex connector.
Market it as a very quiet second case fan.

Pros: Nice package.

Cons: Had to give it a push to make it spin, I can't see my customer doing that.

3 out of 5 eggsIgnore the marketing

Pros: Lowest rpm 92mm fan available from newegg. Which is what I was looking for since the motherboard system fan header doesn't have any fan speed control. Quiet enough for what I needed.

Cons: The marketing with this fan is terrible. Please don't try to market something as being "green" or environmentally friendly unless it really has something about it that is. Sure the fan is green in color and the packaging looks like a tree. Oh and it's ROHS which is required in Europe and so almost all electronic products are now. But the package include a big piece of clear plastic plus the cardboard is itself covered in plastic. If it was really trying to be green, how about using recycled cardboard that wasn't completely covered in ink?

Other Thoughts: The PCs I bought these for are Pentium D 925 (3.0GHz, dual core) on MSI MS-7173 motherboards. The CPU fan header runs at a low speed and doesn't change until 60-70C (adjustable in the BIOS). I tried an Arctic Cooling PWM fan split off of this but the minimum speed seemed to high and made too much noise. The one other system fan header didn't have any control and ran at full speed. So I needed a low speed fan to keep the noise down. These did the job and I didn't buy them based on the "green" marketing. If I had, I would have been very upset. Buy these fans if you need a low-speed 92mm fan. Don't buy them thinking they're more environmentally friendly than any other fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fan

Pros: It moves a decent amount of air, and didn't increase the overall idle hum of my rig.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My build is rather loud. I didn't really care how loud my fans were, because if it hums while on, I know it's still working, and staying relatively cold.

1 out of 5 eggsOutside Spec on RPM

Pros: Good Price

Cons: The RPM on the ones I got were outside Spec on the high side. I bought these because reviews said 1100 RPM, the ones i got were at or near 1400 RPM. I consider these pretty loud at full speed, they seem as loud or louder then some 200mm 26 db fans I have.

Other Thoughts: As another reviewer said, the shipping was UPS only.

I ended up putting a rheostat on these, at additional cost, and lowered the speed to 1000 RPM, which is about what I was expecting them to be.

5 out of 5 eggsNice intake fan

Pros: Quiet, nice color, cheap.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is the fan I least hear on my system, and all my fans are quiet. Sometimes I wonder if it's on.

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre fan

Pros: It is quiet.

Cons: Lame greenwashed packaging, doesn't come with a power adapter so you have to provide your own or plug it into the motherboard, doesn't move much air.

Other Thoughts: There are better fans that only cost $1-2 more.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I am using this on the side panel. It moves good amount air and very very very silent. Silence per se.

Cons: None. It does not move tons of air, but I knew that.

Other Thoughts: If your first concern is noise, this one would be perfect for you.
