3 out of 5 eggsLoud as hell

Pros: Could float a hovercraft on the air it pushes.

Cons: Sounds like a fanboat. This fan is CRAZY loud... louder than any other component I have ever owned.

Other Thoughts: Stuck it in a server where the LEDs and the volume don't matter so much.

3 out of 5 eggs>12 dB but >32.4 cfm

Pros: Moves a lot of air. A pair of these could replace your desk fan.

Cons: Loud--definitely not the 12 dB in the specs (manufacturer lists the same on their page but <28 on the package). Not overly loud for how much air it pushes. Frame is slightly bigger than some 80mm fans. Requires the long bolts for many mounting applications, but didn't include them.

Other Thoughts: It definitely moves a lot of air-I think more than the listed 32.4 cfm (or every other fan I own was over-rated). It is also definitely louder than 12 dB. May be good with a fan controller. It needs to be put on a vent with a lot of free airflow or it will be much louder from the air getting sucked through the vent holes. I had to cut some plastic tabs off of my case to fit it on since it is bigger than my previous 80mm fan.

3 out of 5 eggsNoisier than expected

Pros: it moves some air ;-)

Cons: Newegg lists the noise level at 12 db, manufacturer only claims 28, or less). I.E. it's MORE than twice as noisy as I expected (as new egg claimed)! I could have bought a noisy fan for $1.99 ;-)
