4 out of 5 eggsBig Fans, louder than spec

Pros: Solid construction
Quiet
Moves a decent amount of air

Cons: Louder than Spec
- Newegg says 12db (which matches the manufacturers page at 12db). Packaging says <28db. My guess is that it's about 20db, based on other fans.
Big Dimensions - All the 80mm fans say 80x80x25. This fan is exactly 80x80x25. The other 80mm fans (the preexisting ones in my case and others I ordered from Newegg are really ~78x~78x~23.8. That meant that I couldn't put 2 of these next to each other on the back mounts on my case, and that they didn't really fit well in the fan holders in the middle of my case.

Other Thoughts: If your replacing other fans, measure them first. If they are smaller than 80mm on a side, then these will likely not fit for you. The 12db spec is incorrect, so don't buy these because they seems quieter than the other options.

5 out of 5 eggsGood solid fans.

Pros: -Move a good amount of air reasonably quietly for an 80mm.
-They look good
-Blue is a nice color

Cons: Nothing really.

Other Thoughts: These look nice and do their job well. I've had 3 of these fans in an old PC for media for a LONG time as well as a couple in my gaming rig for at least a year and a half. I have yet to have a single one die on me or give me any trouble.

I'm not sure why the other reviewer is downrating for the use of good aluminum casings, I like my fans stronger, best part is you can mill that aluminum casing or use it to sink some heat if it's going on a custom project where that can work. (Like my custom amp)

Also not sure why we're downrating for things like chrome and LEDs, if you don't like chrome why would you order a chrome fan? If you don't like the LED's why didn't you get the version of these that comes with no LEDs?

Hardly the fan's fault.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: they are not to loud and the blue leds is nice (read not jaring to the eye here) seem to move air very well

Cons: was my understanding and maybe my missunderstanding that the entier fan was metal not just the houseing found that to be a bit dissapointing

Other Thoughts: over all a ok at best for price

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg Wrong Spec

Pros: 12dBA and 32CFM... Too Good To Be True? (see below)

Cons: Aluminum housing does not keeps the fan cooler. Do chromed fan blades make for less air friction? LED light only useful in case you forget where you mounted the fan.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has an noise rating of 12 dBA on this fan which was the reason I purchased it. The packaging indicates the noise rating to be <28 dBA and the next number is voltage of 12 ... so I think Newegg just got the numbers mixed up in their database. And I love Newegg.... how can you betray me! :p
