Pros: Worked perfectly on my almost free socket 939 mobo. Was able to fit a SunbeamTech 92mm cooler with no problems. Mobo came without a CPU retention holder.

Other Thoughts: Title says it is for K8, but this will work perfect for any socket 754, 939, or even AM2 board.

Pros: paired these with two Rosewill RCX-Z80-AL CPU Coolers and now my loud tyan s2881 (socket 940) server is a quiet workstation.

Cons: could be cheaper. they actually were at a certain b&m store but i chose newegg for convenience.

Other Thoughts: if you have server mb you want to use as a workstation, don't settle for the server CPU Coolers. They will be LOUD. buy these and pair with a moderately sized cpu cooler instead. the price will be the same.

Pros: Had to replace a retainer. Not sure why it broke..hmmmm maybe it got hott?
