4 out of 5 eggsIt Works But Whoever Packaged It Was Drunk

Pros: Blows a lot of air for its size. Does the job I wanted.

Cons: I guess whoever packs these things must drink a lot on the job or something. The fan was barely in the package when I got it and it also had a molex to 3-pin adapter for a fan that had a 4-pin connector. In other words the adapter was completely useless since it didn't fit the fan it came with. Derp...

Other Thoughts: It's a little loud but I wear headphones 90% of the time I'm in front of my computer anyway so that isn't an issue for me.

Pros: Very quite. Hardly can hear it. Multi speed option on the MB works with this perfectly.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Moves air, keeps things usually under 40C in my horrible little Acer machine, the fan itself is pretty quiet except for what I mention below.

Cons: Noticed a high-pitched whirring sound after a few days, but I've read reviews for other fans which mention something like this. I figure it's fairly common in small fans like this, so not a huge con.

However, a few days ago (after about a month of use) this thing started rattling like crazy, like the blades are unbalanced or something. My house is extremely dusty, and it did have a pretty decent build-up of dust after only this long (which would actually mean the fan is doing a good job moving air), so I took it out and cleaned it as well as the heatsink, figuring that was probably the problem. Hooked it back up and it's still rattling, almost louder than before. It's not constant, it comes and goes. Not sure if the dust kinda broke it or if it's just a bad fan.

Other Thoughts: Broke the CPU fan in my Acer Aspire X1700 (lol too poor to build a good rig), replaced it with this.
