4 out of 5 eggsGood Air Flow

Pros: Pushes (or pull) a lot of air
Comes with 4 pin MB header connectors and with 4 pin molex connectors
relatively quiet

Cons: None so far although I think some people might not favor the noise level when these run at full speed.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these fans to blow lots of air over 3 R290 GPUs in an open frame rig. I don't really care about the noise level. I had been using 3 1200 rpm fans before and it just wasn't getting it done. I run the fans directly from the power supply 4 pin molex connector so they are running full speed. They make some noise, not as bad as the fans on the GPUs but you can hear them a bit. More importantly, the move lots of air at high speed providing excellent cooling. If you are looking for cooling and are less concerned about the noise, these fans are perfect.
Keep in mind if you power these from teh motherboard and run them at less than 100% the noise will not be a problem at all. Most of the noise is just air flow.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap fan/ bearings are garbage

Pros: Flows air

Cons: Bearings shot after 3 months of casual computer use.

Other Thoughts: I've had problems with different brand CPU fans going out, and I'm not sure why. I keep my case clear of dust, I keep the rpm's low-mid, I only spend a few hours a day on my computer, and yet I have to keep replacing cpu fans every 3-6months because the bearings go out. Meanwhile, my original case fans are doing just fine.

I just want a cpu fan that will do what it says for at least a year. Now I find myself having to replace the cpu fan and endanger my CPU in the process, all because apparently it's impossible for manufacturers to engineer a cpu fan that doesn't fail after 3 months. Come on Newegg, stop promoting these garbage brands and make a CPU fan available that will survive being lightly used for more than 3 months.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Fine

Pros: Works great out of the box. Only had it couple days so can't say if it will last a long time yet.

Cons: The only con I have is the fan doesn't come with any rubber gromets. I bought and installed a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus on my i5. The Cooler Master only comes with 1 fan for one side of the Heat Sink. Problem I ran into is my Asus motherboard is saying my CPU fan is faulty because it thinks it's running to slow. The fan with my CPU cooler is running typically under 600 rpms. For now I set my BIOS to ignore CPU fan but this made me uncomfortable so I bought this fan to put on the other side of the Heat Sink. Figured it is better to have two fans instead of just one, especially since I'm ignoring if my CPU fan fails. Well, when I installed this fan it was too loose on the Heat Sink and rattled around. Luckily I had some rubber gromets laying around so I stuck them at all four corners between the Heat Sink and the fan and all is well.

Other Thoughts: It's a decent fan for the price...so far.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Spins and keeps spinning

Cons: no lights

Other Thoughts: Great fan. Works well with my Coolmaster push pull. It doesn't have the pretty lights but the CPU is happy. I think the noise is the same as the fans I removed.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on Hyper 212 Evo

Pros: Great in a push-pull configuration with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo heatsink. Easy to install. Nice airflow for a 120mm fan.

Cons: Somewhat noisy, compared to the fan included with the Hyper 212 Evo. But it doesn't really annoy me as my case has 6 fans running and is not that silent anyway.

Other Thoughts: Great buy if you're looking for a push-pull config with a Hyper 212 Evo!

5 out of 5 eggsJust what the Doctor ordered!

Pros: -Very good! I don't mind the noise; it's the sound of success keeping my i5 3570k cool.
-Works great as the lead fan in a push-pull configuration. Since it pulls the most air, I put it closest to the outside
-Came with a PWM to Molex adapter so I could use all of the fans in my case :D

Cons: -Won't freeze h311 over
-Doesn't chop veggies with its blades
-Not exactly packaged in the most glorified manner, but it's a $12 fan. I'm actually glad I didn't have to fight the packaging to get to the product on this one!

Other Thoughts: I am very happy with this purchase! If you have room for 2 CPU fans, GET A SECOND FAN! I even have a case fan right in front of this one, so I have 3 fans cooling my CPU!

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Fan

Pros: This is a pretty typical & decent fan compared to the competition. It does run a tad loud for some users, but it makes up for it in reliability and high air-flow. There are some fans available on newegg from Cooler Master (N82E16835103069) that are quieter, but I've read that some of their products wear a little early.

It helps keep my system cool in conjunction with an after-market CPU cooler, a bunch other fans, and a nice case.

Cons: Again, the noise will be an issue for some users. I keep my CPU below my (solid oak) desk and I don't mind it personally. An experienced user can also under-volt the fan to 7V or 5V (google how to re-pin the molex connectors), but you will lose half or more of the air-flow.

There are also fan controllers available, but most of them are a simple variable resistor. That means they simply work by stealing power form the fan to reduce it's speed. A resistor is nothing more than a little heating coil for practical purposes. It wont make much heat, but I hate turning good electricity into waste heat (double bad). They are, however, able to help you tailor the airflow as you wish.

Other Thoughts: It's good for max air-flow if you aren't offended by some noise. With the setup below I run WoW-Cata/D3/SC2 with max settings and keep my CPU at/under 38°C and my GPU at/under 42°C.
