3 out of 5 eggsWorked for exactly 2 years

Pros: It is nice and thin for fitting into tight spaces

Cons: After 2 years the bearings wore out and it started making a horrible noise.

Other Thoughts: I have other case fans that have lasted longer, but not ones that are just 10mm thick

5 out of 5 eggsNote the voltage!!!

Pros: Before you buy, note this is a 5V fan. Most fans are 12 volts. That will make it run much faster than it is designed for, and also may reduce the lifespan.

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsLOUD

Pros: Works.

Cons: This little fan is so incredibly loud and whiny that I ended up disconnecting it. Unfortunately, it is the only one I found thin enough for its location. Hopefully it's superfluous.

5 out of 5 eggsslim fans

Pros: they move quite a bit of air, especially when they're powered individually by the 3-pin motherboard connector (I didn't use them for this though)

Cons: sure, they're a bit noisy, but if you need a slim (10mm thick) fan in a computer case, this is the way to go. Less noise means slower speed, which means less airflow. If you're putting these in a desktop case, once you close up the case it shouldn't be that loud

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these as replacement fans for those in my Cooler Master Notepal U2 cooling pad (the original fans were 80x80x10mm as well). The original fans started to vibrate pretty severely, so I took them out and soldered the black and red wires from these fans (I snipped the blue wire out) to the black and red wires that extended from the original USB connector, taped it all up, and presto! My Notepal U2 is cooling my laptop down again. And since the fans are jointly connected to 1 USB plug, it's very quiet compared to when I tested them individually on an old motherboard's 3-pin fan connector.

2 out of 5 eggsLots of airflow, lots of noise

Pros: Moves lots of air. Low fitting height for cramped spaces.

Cons: LOUD! Fixed speed with no PWM control so motherboard controls have no effect.

Other Thoughts: This fan does move a good amount of air and would be ideal in my skinny HTPC case since it is only 10mm tall. I was hoping that this was a PWM fan and it just wasn't listed, but nope. My own fault though...
