4 out of 5 eggsTitan CPU Cooler

Pros: Price wasn't bad at all, free shipping and arrived quick too, decent quality but I can't judge it too much because it's my first real aftermarket cooler other than one of those Alpine hunks of aluminum with a slow fan. looks better in person than it does in the pictures not that it matters that much, theoretically simple to install... hehe!

Cons: I noticed the bottom of mine wasn't "perfectly" smooth so I laid a piece of 400 grit sandpaper over the bottom of an old CPU cooler (like a sanding block) because I knew it was a very flat surface and I lapped it in or basically sanded it smooth... Very smooth after I finished up with some 600 grit. Maybe I was being a perfectionist but I think everyone who says these type of coolers are junk may have had one where the bottom wasn't as smooth as it should of been.

Other Thoughts: I did a dry fit first and it was a little tiny bit loose but that's probably because I sanded it smooth lol. So I went to the garage and found a perfect little washer that was super thin and put it under where the clamp deal goes and it was super snug. If you read what I wrote in the Cons section I like to add that I'm sure the CPU cooler would of done great if the thermal paste was applied in a way where there was enough to fill any little tiny gaps. I am happy with it and my AMD 8320 doesn't overheat anymore. I was seeing 81c and freaking out before I got this cooler and now I only hit 65c during prime95 stress test with all eight cores enabled @ 4.0 ghz and no throttling. That was even on a hot day and it was about 85 in the house. I would buy another one but I like to try different parts and compare which is better. Don't be discouraged by my tinkering with the cooler, I like to modify and fabricate stuff. I guess it's kind of a hobby of mine.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cooler for the $

Pros: I am running a FX 6300 @ 4.5ghz 35-40c stable using this cooler. It does it's job well and uses the stock cooler mount on the AM3+ AMD socket so it's easy to install.

Cons: The fan that comes with this cooler is quite loud at full tilt so if you are looking for a silent build make sure you pick up a better fan/s.

Other Thoughts: I thought ahead about memory height so it wasn't a issue for me but I can see how this cooler could cause some issues with ram clearance if the included fan is used. So keep that in mind when putting together your build.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Keeps my fx-8350 cool on non-overclock settings, between 35-45°C.
Easy mounting!!! Uses the standard mobo snap in bracket.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The heat sink is tall. Mine collided with the side case fan. Had to modify the case fan slightly. Heavy for standard mounting??? Seems like it'll move if you give the tower a solid thump.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Than Stock CPU Cooler - Flexible Fit

Pros: Initially using a Core i7-4790K CPU with stock cooler on an Asus Maximus VII Impact m-ITX motherboard (BIOS v2102) my CPU was getting badly thermally throttled. Thermal throttling saw my CPU getting underclocked down to ~3.4GHz during a heavy video transcoding session utilizing all four cores. To make matters worse, installed in the single PCI-E slot and cranking out A LOT of heat, I have an Adaptec 81605ZQ RAID adapter powering a 10-drive RAID-6 array. Also have a couple of 8GB DDR3-2666MHz G.SKILL RAM sticks next to the tightly cramped CPU socket with extra high heat fins, making options limited as far as heatsinks that would fit the CPU socket and not hit RAM or the daughterboards surrounding the CPU.

After trying, and failing, to fit an Arctic Freezer 7 PRO rev. 2 and a Thermaltake NiC F3 (both hit either the RAM heatsinks or the daughterboards) I purchased this Evercool TTC-NK35TZ. To my immense pleasure, the heatsink & fan fit in the cramped area I had to work with, and I was even able to mount the new heatsink without removing my motherboard. It was a VERY tight fit, not helped by my large hands, but with some help from a flashlight and a couple of tools, I was able to maneuver the push pins into the right location to get seated in the mounting holes on the board (the push pins slide around to accommodate different socket types,) and then successfully locked in to the board via some very careful, and heavy, pressure. This was NOT an easy task, and I do recommend attaching the heatsink outside of your case as the best solution, but it is possible to do with time, patience, and detailed precision.

Best, and most important of all, after installing the heatsink (with a small dollop of Arctic Silver 5 thermal grease,) my CPU hasn't been thermally throttled once. I haven't run Prime 95, but I have run multiple Handbrake 0.10.0 x64 transcodes--testing using h.264, h.265, and Intel QuickSync profiles--of BluRay discs, cranking CPU utilization to 99% and seeing CPU speed at ~4.4GHz.

Bottom line: for my needs, extremely happy with the purchase.

Cons: None. Does everything I could ask for, at a price that is exceptionally reasonable.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Keeps my OC'd FX-6300 running at about 40c @ 4.20ghz under 100% load other than a slight hum at 100% load it's near silent. Cheap price compared to other coolers of the same quality level.

Cons: only comes with 1 fan so you will need another fan for a push pull set up

Other Thoughts: Those looking at this cooler should be mindful of their RAM height

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool as a cucumber. Was able to install w/o removing mother board, a bit of a bear, but better than completely tearing down my system. Nice feature is that there are many forms of installation. If this was a new build I defiantly would have use the hardware provided.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsCan't Beat The Price

Pros: Cheap Price
Seemingly Good Quality
Easy Install
comes with thermal paste (had my own, but it's still nice)

Cons: much bigger than expected - but still fit

Other Thoughts: bought this for my little brothers build with an A8-7600. most reviews on that APU say the stock heatsink is a joke, especially if you try to use the graphics portion

haven't actually put the APU under a heavy load yet to see how well its cooling - but looking at the design, how cool it is at idle, and other reviews i'm sure it was well worth the money

5 out of 5 eggsGooooooood Heatsink

Pros: This is some good as heck in a handbarrel heatsink action Jackson. Kept my quad core cool at 61 C which is better than 81 C with the stock fan. You wont go wrong if you buy this, trust me, just trust me.

Cons: Its big, I means its huuuuge. It prolly wont fit in most standard cases, I got a garbage bag over the side of my case to keep dust out cause it wont fit with the case siding on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler for the Price

Pros: I tested this against a Zalman CNPS9500A which is double the price on an AMD X4 750k overclocked to 4.0ghz.

Titan 29 degrees idle 50 degrees load.
Zalman 30 degrees idle 50 degrees load.

The Titan was quieter and is relatively small for a heatpipe cooler. I was able to fit this in an extremely cramped budget build Xion case.

Cons: None really, it's not the best heatsink out there, but it's the best heatsink in the $25 or less price range.

Other Thoughts: Performs as well as $40 to $50 coolers, is more quiet, and takes up less room, what's not to love?
