1 out of 5 eggsUse at your own peril

Pros: -Design
It's nice looking, and fits right through - meaning, it fits between my GPU and sound card.
The width is good enough for it to hold onto my stock heatsink, which also used to hold the cooler as wide as this one.

Cons: -It is 3-pin fan, therefore its speed cannot be controlled. It must be plugged into the motherboard, and cannot be plugged into the VGA card itself to be controlled through software like Afterburner...etc.

-It fancies itself able to support wide varieties of VGA cards, as long as they have the width. What the makers didn't think of was the design flaw it has:
1. The sticky wears off over time and detaches itself from the heatsink.

2. Most large sized VGA cards cooled by dual fans are usually POWERFUL. This fan's speed cannot be controlled, and its performance cannot cool down the heat the VGA card generates. It just cannot keep up.

Other Thoughts: BUY AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

I have asked the makers before, if this fan would work on my heatsink with bumps here and there, where there is a gap between the heatsink and the fan. The answer was, "yes it will work." No it does not.

I was skeptical. The fan does NOT touch/in contact with the heatsink due to the gap and the bumpy design of my heatsink. Therefore, buy at your own peril. If your heatsink has such design, do not buy. It may work for some people, as long as they have viable heatsink design in accordance to this fan's.

There are many choices for VGA cooling alternatives with only few dollars more expensive than this fan. I am not talking about those 50 dollars or 100 dollar ones. And even they come with 4-pins, which can be plugged into the VGA itself to be controlled via software.

It is lucky that my GTX 560 can hold its wits up to 100 degrees and manage to stay alive.

2 out of 5 eggsUpdate and downgrade.

Pros: A viable option for fan replacement.

Cons: Cost is somewhat high.
Noise is somewhat loud.
New issue to me..... The unit fell off my video card. The card overheated and is feared dead.

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these. Two are installed with the cards upright. One was installed in a normal mid-tower case with the video card horizontal. Gravity was pulling on the cooler. I discovered the machine unresponsive and shut it down. I opened the case and found the fan unit had fallen off. I took great care to reinstall the fan unit. The unit promptly fell off again. This does not bode well for these units.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks but...

Pros: Not too expensive. Easy installation. Quick fix for busted fans.

Cons: Loud. Not too cheap.

Other Thoughts: I bought three of these to go on video cards with heat sinks but no fans. Installation too a bit of thought and dry fitting to get the best placement. The fan connectors are three pin MB type with four pin molex adapters. I used the four pin adapters which means that the fans spin at full speed 100% of the time. They are loud. Since this machine will be in the basement away from my ears, I don't care.

5 out of 5 eggsSignificantly reduces Tempretures on GPU

Pros: Used to replace stock fan on powercolor 7870XT when mining Dogecoin. Allowed me to stay under 80C, the stock fan was pushing 90C before this. Much quieter than stock fan as well.

Cons: The plug is a 3pin motherboard fan style, not a 4 pin GPU style plug. I cut off the head and spliced the cables to my old fan's plug and it worked.
The clips do not fit on the heat-sink of the 7870XT. I removed the clips and secured the fan to the sink with zip ties.
Card now takes up 2 and 1/2 slots. Thats not the fan's fault, its the way the heatsink was designed.

Other Thoughts: If you want a cheap way to lower GPU temps and fan noise without investing in a complete heatsink, this is the way to go.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: +Works
+Decently quiet
+Keeps my card cool, even with a mild overclock

Cons: -Sticky things that are used to attach the cooler fall off, or don't stick properly
-Hard to clean once they get dusty
-Doesn't fit properly on my card (Sapphire 6850 1GB)

Other Thoughts: The only reason I bought this was because my GPU fan broke, and it was cheaper to get this than to fix it. I zip-tied this thing to my card and it has been cooling my card for over a year.

2 out of 5 eggsBIG MISTAKE

Pros: The only thing was a pro was that the fans fit perfectly in my XFX RADEON 7970 (read other)

Cons: where should i start......
now dont get me wrong this little dual fan may work for you ,But for me i own a RADEON( 7970 xfx double d ........
this did not come close........READ OTHER)

Other Thoughts: so a FAN DIED on my XFX 7970 ( and crippled the colling) the card hits 85 degree c....and i mickey moused two 80mm 3 pin fansto hold it for awhile sucked and those fans did better job at holding temps then these 16 doller pink fans ....
really DONT BUY IF YOU OWN any 7900 series radeon , R9 280x for even 7870.........these fans CANT CUT CHEESE, your video card will be drying up your sweat and dehydrite you ...... your better off just ordering the origanal fan that came with your card ..... these fans dont hit over 3000 rpms ( i had to unscrew my fans from the frame to mount them to my card ....

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: - Easy attachment
- Slim
- Includes molex adapter
- Sleeved cables
- Good balance between airflow and noise

Cons: - Fans are pink, not red
- Awkward attachment method
- Fans not compatible with video card's PCB header
- Only one axis of movement for the clamps

Other Thoughts: I bought two sets of these fans for my two 6950's that I bought used and both had fans that were failing. I didn't want to shell out $40+ per card for a whole new heatsink and fan setup for used video cards. Idle temperatures are around 35C and load temperatures are about 65C and 75C (second temperature is much higher because of the CrossFire set up). As you probably guessed, there is just enough clearance with this fan on for a CrossFire setup, another bonus as mentioned in the pros.

By the way, I contacted Evercool and each fan's output it about 25CFM. Like another suggested, plug it into a fan header on your motherboard and you can change the speed to fit your needs.

Overall this is probably the most cost effective way to cool your graphics card. Keep in mind it is NOT an upgrade so you probably won't have an increase in cooling performance; it is just a cheap replacement option. Like others pointed out it could use another pair of clamps, but it still does the job well enough that it doesn't matter. It would also be great if you could move the clamps horizontally as I also have a heatsink with the indents so I had to mod it a little bit for the clamps to secure properly.

4 out of 5 eggsKeeps up with a 7950, if only just.

Pros: Very cost effective fan replacement. Likely great for sub-200 watt GPUs.

Installation was straightforward and it's sturdy enough. Uses a combination of double sided tape and slightly awkward clamps to attach to the heat sink.

Cons: Not as effective as the stock cooler on my Sapphire 7950, runs 5-10 degrees Celsius higher than stock.

Other Thoughts: One of the fans went out on my 7950 and running on a single fan wasn't cutting it. This is an adequate solution for replacing my fan. In retrospect, I should have ordered a direct replacement stock fan, but it was twice the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Graphics Card Cooler

Pros: Good cooling. The two 80mm fans work wonders on my card compared to the single 92 on it before. It's also quite quiet.
The clamps were a good idea.

Cons: I did however have a few problems with this card. First off, the color isn't really a red but more of a pink color.
I also ran into a problem with the clamps that hold it to the heatsink. I'm using a Powercolor 7870 MYST edition, the Tahiti LE one. It has an indented heatsink to accommodate the 92mm fan. This was unfortunate as the indentation was just as wide as the distance between the center of the two clamps. This caused issues with keeping it attached. After the small sticky pads on the clamp came off, I just decided to zip-tie it to the copper rods.

Other Thoughts: The fan's power connector is only a 3 pin connector, making it incompatible with most graphics cards' PCB's. I just connected it to a system fan header and changed the fan rpm per system temp stepping in the bios.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Fit rather easily on a somewhat non form factor heatsink, the frame of the fan assembly is made of aluminum while the housing for the fans is mad out of plastic. The heat sink on my fan was rather shaped like a weird "W" and I found that I was able to bend the unit in the middle to accomadate the odd shape of my heatsink.

The Unit is keeping my fan cool at a very nice temp lower then the previous fan was doing.

The mounting system is fairly easy to use, and seems very sturdy.

Cool color.

Smaller then some replacement fan options out there seemed like the best replacement for my particular card and it was.

Cons: It could have had a third set of rubber shock absorbers, but it didn't.

The fan connector could have been one that could have connected to the cards built in supply so that you could control the speed from the vga console but the connector options were motherboard or standard molex.

The shipping on this fan was kind of excessive for such a small item.

Other Thoughts: The nature of video cards always overheating makes it difficult to keep them cool and cheaply, this is a cost efficient option to replace the old oem fans that may be crudded up from use.
