2 out of 5 eggsLoud. So very loud.

Pros: It fits, and it blows lots of air, but it sounds like a hairdryer set on "high".

Cons: It sounds like a hairdryer set on "high". Maybe the manufacturer had scored on a bunch of extra hairdryer fans and decided to re-purpose them as CPU fans. Good for them, but not good for me. I have to send this bugger back from whence it came. I love NewEgg and don't think I've sent much back before... I should've read the other reviews here... most of which say "LOUD!!". Believe them - this fan is crazy loud.

2 out of 5 eggsEVERCOOL EC8038HH12BP 80mm Dual Ball bearing 4 Pin PWM fan, Long life bearing, Low noise & high airflow, Low pollution

Pros: Pros: Exceptional cooling ability.

Cons: Cons: Half the dbA rating of a jet plane taking off at 200 feet away, when pc is under full load, the actual numbers are even in the specs. Even with a wall between the case and myself I can hear it at full load, unless I have volumes on the pc turned up enough to both people in other rooms.

Other Thoughts: Other Thoughts: For the money it's completely worth it, aside from the high noise volume. Get it if you have little other choice, but beware it's downsides. Will be using this ONLY as a backup when main CPU fan dies again, which is inevitable. Replacing with a Cooler Master Hyper 212. Hoping the efficiency is the same without the noise pollution!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan Upgrade

Pros: easy to install, quieter than the stock fan, like that the housing is taller than a normal fan kind of acts like a stack to help keep the air flowing in the right direction, went from running at idle 35c to 24c ran the bioshock infinite benchmark on ultra settings and it never went over 45c

Cons: none at all

Other Thoughts: is a great fan if u want to upgrade $20 is a cheap bolt on upgrade its installed on an stock i5 heatsink inside of an hp envy 700-074 so it should fit in just about any pc

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well so far

Pros: Works.

Dropped my temp by 10 deg C

Cons: LOUD. OH MY GOODNESS ITS LOUD!

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a failing cooler master fan on my gaming rig. It is definitely not low noise, but it did drop my temps by 10deg C so for now i will live with it.

It is easily the loudest thing in the box including 3 HDDs a 800W PSU, and three case fans.
