KINGWIN devoted itself to developing reliable, economical and powerful thermal solutions. The XT-1264 is an outstanding model designed to provide supreme performance at a bargain price. How could you not love it?

Designed to attach easily to the motherboard of all Intel Socket 1366, 775 and AMD Socket AM2, 754, 939, and 940 CPUs, the XT-1264 is ready to go right out of the box. No tools are required, nor is removal of the motherboard, thanks to its light weight. Four large, liquid-filled, U-shaped 6mm pure copper heat pipes touch the heatspreader of the CPU for maximum transference of damaging heat away from the processor and up to the aluminum alloy convection fins.

The heatsink is cooled by the 120mm fan mounted on the side of the array, which directs nearly 100 CFM of cooling air at a maximum 2300 rpm. Its support for PWM lets the BIOS control the speed of the fan based on the CPU’s thermal needs, lowering the fan's speed and noise during off-peak cycles. Perfect price, perfect performance!

  • newegg Supreme Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance With H.T.C (Direct Heat-Pipe Touch Chip), four innovatively designed copper heatpipes and high-density aluminum fins maximize heat transfer and dissipation. Plus a 120mm, 2300RPM N.D.B bearing fan delivers an air flow of up to 101.2 CFM for excellent cooling performance.
  • newegg PWM Function With a 4-pin interface, the PWM function automatically adjusts fan speeds according to the CPU temperature for efficient cooling and minimized fan noise.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Kingwin XT-1264 CPU cooler features broad compatibility with Intel LGA 775,1366, and AMD K8 platfrom, including Socket AM2, 754, 939 and 940.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome cooler

Pros: Cools like a champ, came with all the accessories needed, seems to be built really well. I have used this now for over a year, and have my quad core overclocked over 10% (3.0 oc'd to 3.4) and I still idle at around 35 c. I never get above 55c even running Prime95. Fan and heatsink is HUGE!!! Be warned.

Cons: Didn't cook me pancakes with blueberry syrup

Other Thoughts: This thing is gigantic...no really!!!! Make sure your case will fit this. Check multiple dimensions. Think ahead...memory, gpus, hdds, cabinets in your home, where you park the car...it's that big.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good cooler for the buck!

Pros: Cheap! Does the Job temperature went down 25C comparing to the stock i have on E8400 and E7200. Highly recommended

Cons: Installing the fan can be tricky but doable

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have enough space in your case its quite tall

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Quiet, works well, and with room to OC. I have had it in two cases, in a Rosewill Blackbone Black Steel case I had my 955BE @ 3.6 ghz, never went above 52c under extreme stress testing prime95, in my Cooler Master HAF 932 case, I have it @ 4.0 ghz, under extreme stress testing it gets up to 58, 60c, 62c is the procs max temp, that being said under HOURS of gaming it only gets up 53c at the most.

Cons: None, hands down this is a fantastic bargain. Just like most, watch it when installing, the fins are easily bent.
And on two deferent mobo's installation is a little hard, and I felt like I was bending the clamps.

Other Thoughts: Next build I am buying another, it replaced a XIGMATEK Dark Knight-S1283V and it completely out performed it. Not by much, but for half the price? Buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsHUGE HUGE HUGE

Pros: Big as can be. Beware of case size limitations. Installed in 4U Norco Case and barely fit. Cools nicely!

Cons: Should have a push pull system instead on just one fan. Would like to have seen that in play for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsXT-1264

Pros: Recommended. Allowed me to run my unlocked (4 cores) 550BE at full load (milkway@home and others) and stay below 40C absolute (+6 degrees delta from system temp).

Cons: The spring clips that "hold" the fan to the radiator assembly, are lightweight and not too convincing. Another, more secure, method would be preferred. Otherwise, it is a great cooler!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent. Cooled my processor down 15deg C at rest and 25 deg C at full processor load. This is very impressive!

Cons: Tight fit in my Rosewill Cruiser mid tower. 1mm to spare with the side panel fan! Make sure you measure before ordering! Installation is simple if you are careful with those plastic pins

Other Thoughts: Super. Works very well. Good price. Probably best cooler in its price range

5 out of 5 eggsReally good

Pros: - Keep my 1055T between 28C and 37C (idle/full).
- direct contact heatpipes (love it)
- Not too difficult to install.
- The fan can be EASILY replaced (a big plus see below)
- Great for the price

Cons: - Big (well not really a con..)
- Fan is noisy (but read below)

Other Thoughts: the cooling power is amazing! The fan was too loud in my pc since also I have 3 fan in line and if the first ones are faster than the last, they create more noise. So I had a silent 12cm fan used to cool hdds and used that as replacement of the stock one. Now my temps go from 28 to 40 but it's soooo more silent! Changing the fan was extremely easy the little metal clip go in their place so easily! Considering the result with a totally slower fan I'd say this cooler is a great choice, except my old ocz vendetta this is one of the best cooler I have ever used (and I have a passion for direct heatpipe contact, so I tested many of those). Really a good buy!!!

Also can I say that Newegg is amazing? I order things and they arrive in ONE DAY, even if the shipping is the standard 3 day. Having things so fast make my purchase experience even more great!

5 out of 5 eggsWhat is not to like?

Pros: Cheap. Relatively quiet compared to others. It cools an e5200 OC'd to 3.6ghz. and is 10C cooler under load than an Intel HSF that came off a q6600 (the copper core one). Idle temp is 31C, max temp is 65C after all sorts of tests.

Cons: Big.. Tall.., but it needs to be. Make sure this will fit with your setup.

Other Thoughts: Just get it already. it is cheap and cools as well as many expensive options.

I removed the fan to install the heatsink as it makes it much easier to use the push pin clips that Intel MOBO's have.
