great product
- Pros: noiseless
sufficiently cools my 7900
- Cons: wish it were larger
Best of this style
- Pros: Only heatpipe cooler I found that uses the empty space above card, allowing use of PCI slot below the video card.
- Cons: Doesn't really clear card below! No claims were made that it would, but from reading the dimensions, it seemed like it would.
- Other Thoughts: After grinding down the cover plate and countersinking the screws, it worked. A thin plastic card prevented shorting with the card below. Lap all parts that conduct heat. I used AC MX2 which is electrically non conductive. If you modify your case to allow air flow in the area it occupies and have GOOD flow in the case, you don't need additional fans. My HD2400pro dropped from 67 to 42 at idle. It should work with a hotter card also.
Wow. I must have got the last one.
- Pros: Well, it wasn't too bad to mount, just akward. I like the mounting system, works on just about anything. I had to off center my heatsink slightly, worked well, wouldn't have with more traditional mount. Cools my gigabyte 4670(aka hot jet engine) as well if not slightly better than stock with no heat. idles 70c with exhaust slot fan above,or 60c with just 120mm mounted above blowing across not in(not direct either) full 100% load on card for test.
- Cons: big, akward, doesn't look as "cool" as i though it would.
- Other Thoughts: All in all i am maxing out the rated 70w heat dissipation with my gigabyte 4670 but it works as well as the stock cooler with no heat and looks neat. My HIS 4670 idles around 30c and full loads around 54c so my main thought would be just buy a card with a nice stock cooler and save the trouble.
