5 out of 5 eggsPhenom II

Pros: EXCELLENT HEAT SINK. I'm running this on an AMD PHENOM II 965 BE. This peace of art is keeping it cool at 28 degrees celsius at idle and 37 degrees celsius at full bore. Match this with an ANTEC 900 Gaming case and you have one heck of a cooling solution for processor, hard drive, and memory.

Cons: Tall

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte

Pros: I have owned this cpu coller approx 2 years. Still runs and cools GREAT. If you do your research, you will find that it is a TOP TEN BEST air based cpu cooler ever made.

Cons: none...

Other Thoughts: At full fan speed it is somewhat , but not too loud.

5 out of 5 eggsJust a follow up to this A+ Cooler

Pros: RE: PREVIOUS WRITE-UP by myself;

2/20/2008 8:38:49 AM

Rating + 5 This thing is SICK!!!

Cons: Absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: I have had this for over 2 years now and it is still going very strong. I have had my CPU OC'ed to almost 4GHz non stop for all that time and it stays at about 21C normal load & approx 38-41 under long term heavy load.
To those who say it doesn't cool eating paint chips. Seriously.

2 out of 5 eggsMassive Cooler

Pros: It does keep my AMD X2 4400+ at 33 Celsius. The Blue LED and UV rings are pretty neat. Comes with different UV rings and 2 different mounts for the fan controller. It feels like pushes a lot of air. Thank goodness the top part is detachable.

Cons: 1. It feels loose on an AM2+ socket. I remounted the thing several times.
2. This thing is huge for a 92mm cooler. With the top part on, it comes within 4mm of the side panel.
3. The fan control wire pops out so easily. A slight tug and it's out. To put it back in, you have squeeze your fingers underneath the cooler to plug it in. Very painful and frustrating for me.
4. Without the fan controller, it sounds like a rocket taking off. With the fan controller, it sounds like a rocket taking off when you have your hands over your ears (so it's still pretty loud).
5. The PCI bracket is hidden in the packaging.
6. The knob for the fan controller is too big. I mounted it on the PCI bracket and when installed, the knob overlaps onto the other PCI slots above and below it.

Other Thoughts: Why did I buy this?
1. It was cheap.
2. It has blue LED.
3. The computer build isn't for me.
4. Would I buy again? No. Very poor design by Gigabyte.

4 out of 5 eggsLots of bling and fantastic cooling...once installed

Pros: My E5300 runs between 26C to 31C at the low fan speed. Ridiculous bling. If the blue led fan wasn't enough, it came with 4 different color UV rings. There is space for 2 of them. Well made. Very quiet. Includes fan controller with options for 3.5" mount or card slot mount.

Cons: Very tall and may not fit in some cases. It actually blocks my hard drives in my NZXT Rouge case so I would have to remove it to replace the hard drives. Instructions are sub-par. The clips were somewhat difficult to put on but that is as much the fault of my case as it is the cooler. I would like to have seen a push pin option like the stock Intel cooler. There was a hard to remove sticker on the fan duct that I had to clean the residue off of.

Other Thoughts: I bought this overkill fan strictly for the bling factor. You can never have enough blue led's. This was for a MS Home Server so I should never have to worry about heat problems.

3 out of 5 eggsOh, brother!

Pros: Keeps things cool for sure, very quiet by my standards. Don't know why anyone would complain about the noise level.

Cons: Clips to mount it to the CPU are insanely difficult to use. They are WAAAAAAY too loose even after you "secure" them. Getting them was a 6 hour nightmare and I still had to wire the cooler to the base frame so it wouldn't slip and slide if even a bird flew by. Never had so much frustration with mounting one these things in my life. By another brand. Gigabyte makes good boards, but their cooling system design was design by someone who rode in the front of the short bus. Pass this one.

Other Thoughts: The website instructions had out of focus images so you can't see how the clips go on. Just ridiculous.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Product Buy

Pros: This item is excellent for the price! It's a great price. The fan was very easy to install and with the variance in height, you can remove the top portion to fit a mid-size ATX case perfectly.

Cons: The heat sink paste was old and not usable. Be sure you have another source on hand before you install this cooling device.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than stock

Pros: -Looks great
-Has better cooling than stock
-Cheaper than most CPU cooler out there

Cons: -The blue plastic around the middle is not sturdy.
-Only cooled my CPU down by 5-8c

Other Thoughts: Huge, but you should of known that before you bought it after reading the specs. I have 1-2cm left before it touches the other side of the case. It's great because I have a slot for a 120mm fan there and it just pushes air out that way.

5 out of 5 eggsRead the specs

Pros: Dude, who gives it 1 egg... crying about it doesn't fit my socket 939... you my friend are an idiot.

Cons: no cons.. specs say:Compatibility Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 955/840
Intel Pentium D Processor 960/840
Intel PentiumR 4 Processor 670/570
Intel Pentium 4 478 3.4GHz
AMD AM2 Series
AMD AthlonTM FX62
AMD AthlonTM 64x2 5200+
AMD AthlonTM 64 4000+

Other Thoughts: So why cry about something you failed to research? Does it say 939 there? I don't see it.
