5 out of 5 eggsUsing it with Galaxy 2

Pros: Have two of these on my 7950gt sli setup. Runs idle at 49C and goes to the low 60s during gaming. These temps are with mild overclocks. When I overclock my Intel Core Duo E6400 to 3.2ghz and the cards to 595/790mhz the temps can reach the upper 60s. All temps are with the radiator fan at lowest setting.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Wish these would work with the geforce 8 series.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks very cool. It works as it is supposed to. The whole kit that come was incredible full of things for the money this cooling block costs.

Cons: The vinyl tube that comes with it is not standard size. It is not 1/4 or 3/8 and it was kind of hard to implement it in my water cooling system. I just used a different tube and it was fine.

Other Thoughts: Once again for the money this is a great product. Flow indicator, blue LED, RAM Heat sinks, nice (easy to use) clamps. It is worthed.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless for me

Pros: it looks cool. the blue LED goes with the rest of my case. Its silent. Other than that, nothin good i can think of.

Cons: it didnt drop my gpu temp at all. And it voided my warranty on my video card by using it.

Other Thoughts: I thought this was going to top off my cooling system, but it ended up being a waste of money. i switched back to the card's fan.

Manufacturer Response:

that you are referring to? In order for us to provide you a even better experience
with Gigabyte Products.

Pros: Works good for me. Dropped the temperature of my 7900GT graphics card from 55c down to 35c at idle.

Cons: Installation is a bit of a pain. The mounting screws are extremely short and the only way I could get it mounted was to remove the rubber spacers on the screws and leave off the support brace.

Other Thoughts: Bought it new with the gigabyte 3d galaxy water cooler. Having both the cpu and vga blocks in the same circuit warms the cpu up a couple degrees.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It looked like i would work well with the galaxy II water cooler that i bought. and it would of if you had a video card that fit it.

Cons: it doesnt fit in a 8800gts gfx card!!! i had to return it.

Other Thoughts: ok so i bought all my stuff and was really pumped to put it in and bam! after i take off my heatsink and fan thats on my motherboard i notice that the vga will on fit on my 8800gts gfx card. the bracket is to small.

3 out of 5 eggsPain in the but

Pros: Cheap, Has nice flow meter, fairly small size

Cons: Pain the the but to install, took over an hour to install for something that should have taken 10 minutes, small tubing, but for most cards that is fine, works great with the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy Kit

Other Thoughts: I would buy it again IF they changed the installation procedures and installation kit

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer: Thank you for your business with Gigabyte Technologies. We take your
advice as a very important guide line therefore I believe you will be able to
experience more pleasure in our new products. Your input have helped us to upgrade
your life even more.

5 out of 5 eggsCould not belive the difference

Pros: Very easy installation.Cools exceptionally.Looks great.Good value especially when you consider it has the built in flow meter.

Cons: More tubing would have been nice but in fairness mine was a bit more than the typical slice N' splice installation.

Other Thoughts: To the reviewer that says 1/4' will not cool hotter running cards I say bunk. When coupled with my old style Koolance Exos ,( 1/4' 3-80mm fans as opposed to 3/8' 2-120mm later models )It brought my Sapphire X1950XT from a max of 88c with a 634mhz core clock to a max temp of 43c running 688mhz ( both temps measured thru ATI ovedrive stress testing ).Since my Exos is for dedicated VGA cooling, that eliminates any cpu/hd or other waterblock heat transfer out of the equation and shows that 1/4' can indeed do the job.Thats a huge difference on a very hot running card so I'm positive this will cool any card you can physically attach it too.Includes self adhesive backed heatsinks for the memory as well and they have stayed in place fine.Blue light behind the flow indicator matches my Blue Rosewell 120's and Gigabyte Galaxy II cooling kit as well ( dedicated CPU Cooling).Great service from Newegg as always.
