3 out of 5 eggsWARNING

Pros: Fantastic, near silent, cooling of a Q6600 @3.2Ghz
RealTemp shows 59 F using Prime95 small FFT's for an hour.
CPU fan control in BIOS set to "Enabled" and "PWM".

Cons: Used on a Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 Rev 1.3
The lower right hand corner mount shorted out the first two memory slots!
I had to add thin nylon washers to the threaded posts, between the mount and the motherboard. I'm sure the washers reduced the pressure of the heat sink to the CPU a little, but all seems well now. Nothing was damaged permanently
If you have ANY traces that will run under the mounts, add some thin, insulating washers.

Other Thoughts: To think I bought this heatsink by Gigabyte to mount on a Gigabyte 'board and it was not compatible out of the box!

Shame on you Gigabyte.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: cools great, quiet, blue lighting, blows air at the exaust fan so heat doesnt stay in case. Fits AM3 chips

Cons: This thing is hudge, had to bend over about a 1/4 of an inch to fit in my midtower case. would fit better in fullsize tower. also put on mobo b4 assmbly in case.

Other Thoughts: even came with cloth to clean metal fan shroud. Thats Why i buy Gigabyte products there the best. looks great on my gigabyte ultadurable board.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely Pleased

Pros: works very good

has cooled 4 different CPU's with this

bolt on kit included with cooler much better than Intel's stock push pins

great looks

Cons: it's big, make sure you have a case that is 200mm wide

Other Thoughts: I've had this cooler on 4 different processors. I originally bought it at a local shop for a AMD 5200 windsor core CPU. I transffered this to another build that had a e8400, which I later upgraded to a xeon 3220, and finally on my q9650. I had every CPU OC'ed to various levels. This thing gets my idle temps on the q9650 below 40'c with a OC of 4.2ghz. I run my q9650 OC'ed to 3.6ghz and have it constantly crunching. Temps always stay below 40'c with CPU on full load days at a time. This has got to be one of the most underrated/overlooked coolers on the market

5 out of 5 eggsGood job Gigabyte

Pros: It cools well, very well... I was using a CM V8 and it is nice, but it just didn't do the job I wanted. Temps from that cooler on my PIIX4 940(OC'd to 3.8) we're sitting at 43C idle and 49C full load and my board (790X-UD4P) ran at 45C idle and 47C full load. With the Gigabyte cooler my temps for the CPU went to 33C idle and 39-41C full load with the mobo running idle at 36C and full load of 38C. It made a nice difference in my temps.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: Although you need a large case and it nearly makes it to the edge of my CM Sniper (10 inches wide), it cools and has a nice angle at the mobo as well. It keeps the northbridge and MOSFET nice and cool.

Another thought, many coolers on the market can cover your memory slots making it more difficult to find RAM to fit underneath it. This monster keeps all of the memory slots open so when you're using some OCZ Reaper with the heatpipes on top you can put them in the first two slots...

5 out of 5 eggsLooks & Performance

Pros: This cooler is sweet. Not only does it look like an awesomely oversized swiss watch, but it brought the average temps on my PII 955 down by around 15° . At full fan speed (1700RPM), I can keep a steady overclock of 3.62 Ghz at a temp of 31°c-40°c. The fan is virtually silent at low speeds, with a minimal amount of noise at max. I haven't tested any higher overclock speeds yet, but I'm positive that this cooler will get me up at least a few more notches. Maybe an air-cooled 4.0Ghz o.c. is in my future?

Cons: Had to bend the K8 retention clips to make it fit my PII 955, but it fits nice and solid now.

No way (as far as I know) to replace the fan if it ever goes bad.

This barely fits in my Antec 902 case. If you've got something even smaller than that, don't bother.

Other Thoughts: This cooler will fit on a AM2/AM3 proc, but you have to modify (bend) the clips a little bit to make it fit correctly.Comes with base plates for AMD procs that make it snug and tight at the bottom.

Goes nicely with my Gigabyte mobo!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: 120MM fan, blue leds cool chrome shroud, but what really makes this awesome its its coolin capabilities droped the temps on my kuma 7750 by 20c and its overclocked to 3.0ghz now where as it was stock settings b4. after 1 hour prime95 torture test cpu temp was 44c

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: this thing is MASSIVE barely fit in my eagletech dragon case, also i used arctic silver ceramique instead of the supplied thermal grease so that may have dropped my temps a bit aswell

5 out of 5 eggsIT COOLS AN AMD 965!!!

Pros: This fan is a great looking fan. It also keeps my AMD 965 very cool. CPU OC'd at 4.2 running 27C on Idle and 32-34C on a full load. NOT BAD!!!!

Cons: ITS HUGE!!! It touches the side fan of my Clio full tower!

Other Thoughts: This is an outstanding fan!!!! I originally had it for an AMD 6000+ AM2 CPU. I put it on my new build until I get an AM3 fan, but theres not to many good looking ones with good reviews around. After seeing my AM3 965 cpu temps with this fan, I dont think im going to replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsCOOL CPU FAN

Pros: -My Q6600 stays cool even if overclocked to 3.0GHz.
-Nice aesthetics
-Cools my MOBO as well

Cons: Bulky and somewhat complicated to install... definitely not for newbies. I'm very sure that this "monster" will not fit generic ATX casings. Though I'm quite sure that this cooler would fit most coolermaster, gigabyte, antec, lian-li, thermaltake mid-tower casings.

Other Thoughts: buy it now... and partner it with an antec spot cool to take care of your RAM as well.
