3 out of 5 eggsHmmm

Pros: They do what they say they will do. The RPM goes up and down with temps.

Cons: Make an annoying noise. I thought they would be quiter. It seems like the slower they go, the louder they get.

5 out of 5 eggsThermally controled fan

Pros: Clear, quiet fan. Will move a good amount of air when temps get high.

Cons: No LEDs. Not really a con if you don't want them. At little more expensive that I would like for an 80 mm case fan. Would like to see it a few dollars less. Does not really detract from the product though (I rarely give out 5 eggs).

Other Thoughts: I have seen a few reviews indicating this fan makes noise. They only time mine makes any noise is when the temps get warm and it has to increase its fan speed. This is the trade of for moving more air. I have had mine for nearly 5 years and it continues to work without a problem. Recommend for any computer that has a small case which can easily heat up.

2 out of 5 eggsRequires Earplugs

Pros: Easy to mount as an exhaust fan and brings case temperatures down like most any other case fan will.

Cons: This fan makes an irritating whining noise at any speed. After enduring it for about a week, I had to send it back.

Other Thoughts: If you want a quiet fan that moves air, the Antec 75008 "SmartCool" is not the way to go. It's just another warmed-over standard-designed fan with noisy bearings and poor blade aerodynamics. Instead look for a case fan that is designed from scratch to move air and to be quiet. In the same price range as this fan, look for a fan incorporating an improved blade and housing design, a high-quality SC-drive motor, an oil-pressure bearing system, and a soft mounting system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Thermally Controlled Fan

Pros: Thermally controlled. Sensor mounted in center of fan. Quite. Comes with Molex adaptor. Old fans were black, new ones are clear.

Cons: No LEDs. Not compatible with some motherboards. If you use the power header on some motherboards, it can cause the mobo to malfunction. This is due to attenuation at different hertz speeds. The fix is to connect the fan to the PSU. Also, do not connect the fan to a variable speed power connector that can change the speed of standard fans. Since the sensor is on the fan itself, and not an extension wire, this fan is meant to be used as an exhaust fan. Antec makes fans with the sensor on an extension wire for use as an intake fan.

Other Thoughts: I've been using four of these fans, two in two different systems for over three years. I have had no problems.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice looking case with ample room for the drives, extra fans and mobo. All slots and screw holes lined up perfectly.

Cons: Fit and finish could be improved. There are some rough unfinished edges throughout the case

Other Thoughts: Would I buy it again? MAYBE!

5 out of 5 eggsnice quiet fan

Comments: I bought this so my case would have something other than my psu fan to cool it. It lowered my case temp from 36 to 30 and my cpu temp from 59 to 56 degrees Celsius under full load. This is a very quiet fan, I can't hear it unless I listen very closely. I'll definitely be buying from Antec again.
