3 out of 5 eggsnot impressed

Pros: shiny. looks alright behind a screen.

Cons: this thing looks really chintzy. I like aerocool's fans but i'm starting to jump on the scythe bandwagon.

Other Thoughts: i put it in a budget comp for aesthetics

4 out of 5 eggsWorks, but could be better...

Pros: Slim, quiet design.

Cons: Does not move air as well as other fans! I've found that my rear 120 mm fan and PSU fan pull air better than the AeroCool in front which is unfortunate, I can't control the airflow over my HDDs and it causes the airflow to enter the case from all the gaps or holes in the case construction.

Other Thoughts: I like the low noise level of the fan, but I'd buy a higher CFM fan if I had to do it again and put up with a little extra noise.

4 out of 5 eggsReplacement

Pros: Moves air as described, no notable change in PC temp Looks good with the color scheme of my custom paint design.

Cons: I originally plugged this fan in my mobo 3-pin, but it did not give it enough kick to start the fan, so I had to connect it to a fan controller to make it work.

Other Thoughts: I bought this fan to replace the original 120mm case fan for cosmetic purposes. I was able to work around my con with a quick wire change, so all is well.

4 out of 5 eggsokay fan

Pros: For my new quad core home entertainment PC build I needed quieter 80mm and 120mm fans. The fans included with the case I'd bought were pretty loud. So I bought 3 sets of 80mm and 120 mm fans from different manufacturers. At 120mm this was the quietest 120mm fan and definitely the best looking. However I didn't end up using it as the airflow wasn't as high as I felt I needed. My case has a "turbine" installed in front of the fan, both for looks and to provide a bit of a sound baffle. This fan was able to turn it over, but I felt the airflow was more inline with what I'd expect from an 80mm. It’s a good, and very quiet fan, it just doesn't provide as much airflow as other 120mm fans. If you're looking for a quiet way to vent your case, I suspect several of these would work well without waking the neighbors. I do plan on using this fan when I refurbish my old dual core later this year. It's not a waste of money, its good fan but that noise reduction comes at the cost of maximum airflow.

Cons: Didn't move as much air as I'd hoped.

Other Thoughts: I was planning on using this in a quad core gaming and home entertainment PC. As such I had to find a balance between noise and airflow. While "not moving a lot of air" may sound like a con, "blessed silence" while still moving SOME air IS a plus. Make sure you know which it is you want before you buy this fan. It does look cool, and if not for the "turbine" installed in front of it in my case I'd have used this fan. For looks it can't be beat, and in an open, as opposed to covered with a nasty case vent, blowhole you can't really see past it into the case. As such it's very worth considering if you looking for a cheap, but cool looking, case modification.

5 out of 5 eggsAeroCool TURBINE 1000 120mm Case Fan

Pros: What a great fan to use if you are striving for a near-silent PC. I work and sleep in the same room with 3 computers that run 24/7, for this reason I needed to quiet them down considerably. I ordered 6 of these fans, 4 were used as case exhaust fans while the other 2 were used to retrofit the power supplies that had smaller HS fans. Simply amazing the difference in acoustic noise...or the lack of I should say. Also, even with their slower rotational speeds they easily keep my temperatures at or below the levels which they were with the smaller HS fans. These fans have been spinning non-stop for nearly 2 1/2 years without a failure and are still as quiet as day-one.

Cons: As my computers are strictly utilitarian I wish there were a non-psychedelic version of this fan. The LEDs are easily eliminated but not having to do so would be a bonus. I might also rant that fans in general seem priced much higher than should be expected.

Other Thoughts: Yes, I also changed out the always whiny CPU fans for slower turning 80mm units with appropriate ducting to the heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great looking fan. Spins around 1100RPM and is quiet. Nice blue LEDs. Seem to push a lot of air for the speed and noise lvl.

Cons: I ordered 2 of these, the first one had the "hub cap" off. This was very difficult to reinstall. It fits in to holes and then you are suppose to twist it to lock it into position. I could not get a good enough hold to twist it. Very tight fit. Had to use some pick tools to slide it around into the lock position.

Other Thoughts: Great fans. I hope the bearings last longer than 6mo like most fans now days.

3 out of 5 eggsLooked good at first...

Pros: Stylish titanium finish, and 16 blades make this a nice looking fan. It worked OK at first, but wasn't very quiet. Not worth the $$.

Cons: Owned this for 6 months, and it started spinning out of balance. One of the LEDs also only turned on when i tapped it with my finger.

Other Thoughts: Blue LEDs are cool in theory, but with the shiney titanium finish, it just makes a big glare on the fan blades as they're spinning. Not flattering when you have a plexi window.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent Beast

Pros: Very nice fan. You will probably not even know its running it's so quiet. The LEDs are not over the top, gives off a nice glow. This + Sunbeam Chameleon controller make my Tsunami Dream case lighting very pleasing to look at, and the fan is very good at cooling.

Cons: None. Maybe if it dies that'd be bad, but i doubt it ;)

Other Thoughts: The double sided molex was different, i thought it just had 1 then i saw the other side and breathed a sigh of relief, it tricked me :) Really nice to look at and does an amazing job at cooling.
