1 out of 5 eggsBroken Blades on Arrival, One box already Opened

Pros: None.

Cons: Both fans had broken blades on arrival, and one of the two fans was an already opened box. Will be returning these two fans, and buying another product. I gambled after reviewing all the reviews, I knew they might suck, and they are very bad. But I'm even more disappointed that one of the boxes is already opened and taped shut with masking tape. The seller must assume I won't send it back, or try to argue that I opened the package. I don't like being taken advantage of, or when a seller tries.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the inconvenience of the broken fans and the open box. We don't assume anything about customers receiving open packages and take all issues on a case-by-case basis. 3 out of 5 eggsMEH.

Pros: Blows an okay amount of air...
Name brand. Matches case.
Built in fan 3 speed fan controller (could almost be a con for me actually because of the extra cable management now needed)

Cons: - Very loud on full power. Much louder than the 26db (or whatever) that the description claims. At about a meter, its more around 40db.
- Correct on the airflow description, but none of it is centralized; the air practically curves around the outside edge, so if you need more precision for whatever you're doing, this is not the fan for you.

Other Thoughts: Spend an extra 2-3 bucks and buy a Cougar fan. Higher production quality, quieter, more airflow.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Noise levels are negligible.
Easy to mount.

Cons: I bought the first 140mm fan in the end of May 2013 to test it out and this week (4/28/2014) the bearings are starting to wear out.

Other Thoughts: RMA is in process with NZXT and I had no issues gaining an RMA like I have had with other companies in the past.

The fans are mounted on top of the case in a horizontal manner.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: works and fits keeps it cooler than what it used to great price.

Cons: Not very fast in speed could be better

Other Thoughts: Didn't know which one to choose so I picked this one since it matched all the other fans in my system.

4 out of 5 eggs>decent

Pros: Great fans. They push a lot of air without making a lot of noise. Plus they look nice and feel sturdy.

Cons: This wasn't true for the 3-pin connector, but the molex adapter piece that comes with this fan is pretty lousy. The pins kept getting pushed out as I tried to attach it to an opposing molex connector. The pins simply didn't align, even with a little adjusting with a pin/prong tool.

Even worse is the 3 pin male connector on this molex adapter. Between two of these fans, only one came with a 3pin male to 4pin molex adapter that ACTUALLY worked. (the other was simply so loose that it could hardly keep the pins in socket)

My advice is not to count on the molex adapter. It's a coin toss in terms of quality control with that particular piece.

Other Thoughts: The fan itself, however, is nearly flawless. There are now 4 of these 140mm fans + 1 120mm fan in an NZXT Elite Source 210 box I recently put together and though I can hear the fans, I am amazed at how quiet it is compared to my expectations.

1 out of 5 eggsToo noisy

Pros: Well it does what it's supposed to do.. which is blow air.

Cons: Way too noisy, ended up sending it back thinking I might have been sent a bad one. Well the 'replacement' was just as noisy and figured it's not worth the hassle to ship it back anymore.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks good

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Incorrect screws included

Thankfully when I bought my case, NZXT Phantom, I kept all of the screws and optional mounting hardware. The screws included with this fan are (as noted on the bag of screws that came with my case) kb 5*10 screws, where they should have been 6-32*28mm screws.

The screws that came with the fan are no where near long enough to even clear the depth of the fan shroud, let alone screw into a mounting surface on a case. Luckily for me this was one of the optional fans for my case, so the case included the necessary hardware; now I just have 4 extra screws that go to nothing.

Someone buying this for another brand of case should be prepared to come up with the appropriate screws to mount it in your case.

5 out of 5 eggsNZXT FN-140

Pros: Very Quiet, well built, Nice Sleeved cables. I really like that these fans have holes to add LED lights if you want to.
Got these cause I ordered a Corsair H110 and wanted to set it up in PUSH\Pull Config. Turns out that I could no do that because the thickness of a push\pull would not clear the heatsinks on my mobo, but thats another issue. These fans are VERY nice, I would buy again, and I recommend them to anyone.

Cons: None so far, but I just got them so we will see

Other Thoughts: I used these with my H110 instead of the fans that came with it.
They do very well cooling, dropped my stress temp 10C on just a pull config.
