4 out of 5 eggsDecent fan, but go for updated version

Pros: It's a really decent fan that looks good and move a ton of air. I like how it's a solid white fan with a black frame because it matches my case really well and the texture of the fan looks like it'll hold paint easily if I decide to spray paint it.

Cons: There really is only one down side to this fan and that is that it has this faint "clicking" noise to it when at low RPM via a fan controller. The noise becomes a little faint if you turn up the RPM. I read this is fixable by applying sewing-machine oil in the fan by removing the sticker/rubber plug and adding 4-8 drops of sewing-machine oil in it but I have yet to try the fix. Really, shouldn't have to fix it since the fan is brand new but I don't feel like paying out of my pocket to return it. The noise may be nothing to some people but it's quite annoying to me since my computer is within 5 feet of my bed since I live in a college dorm.

Other Thoughts: Overall, great fan but do remember that this fan is only "certified" to work with NZXT cases. I bought this over the updated LED version due to the fact that NZXT hasn't stated if the new 200mm series will work in the NZXT Vulcan. Overall, this fan is closer to the 193mm size and is the same size as the Antec Big Boy 200mm. Perhaps I'll try the Antec next time but till then I am pretty satisfied.

3 out of 5 eggsNoicy and Died

Pros: It spins!
Well, it did...
Aside from that airflow is pretty good.

Cons: I bought 3 of these fans for my build a year ago.
2 of 3 have died since.
It really sacks since they cant be replaced with other fans easily accessible at local stores like Best Buy.

Other Thoughts: I have to buy 3 new ones very soon or fight with manufacturer for replacements... -_-

Manufacturer Response:

Hello valued NZXT customer,

We apologize that your fans have died on you. Please request a RMA through our ticketing site so we can process this and get you those replacements. We will do our best to expedite the process, and minimize the hassle.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Moves alot of air in/out of the case.

Cons: Makes a bit of noise, and for some reason the pre-installed case fan's LEDs went out and will not come back on.

Other Thoughts: I've tried removing the new fan to see if the pre-installed case fan's LEDs would come back on but they won't. I didn't even touch any of the other wires to install this fan so I have no idea what went wrong.

2 out of 5 eggsBuy the Silent series 200mm

Pros: Large fan, relatively quiet (initially), high CFM

Cons: I've bought 4 of these fans now, the first two that came with the Phantom went bad, and started rattling, possibly the ball bearings. I replaced them now 2 times, and all of them have the same rattling sound.

Other Thoughts: Buy the silent 200mm NZXT fans. They move less air, but i've found they don't rattle after a few months like this one does.

1 out of 5 eggswell....

Pros: um... fits my NZXT case... maybe cuz they made it... idk...

Cons: dead, died well before the 6 month marker, one lasted 3 months and the other idk if it is completely dead, it started making noise and i swapped them, might try out some Rosewill 200m's their products seem to work.

Other Thoughts: had this computer been the computer i planned it to be, and this fan died, i'd have been irate, but since i'm still a few parts away from having the "wet dream" computer, i'm more feeling like: "live and learn"

That one Egg is only for the CFM

3 out of 5 eggsGood fan But get noises.

Pros: The fan is great and can push air through out the case, and plus it is white :D.

Cons: I bought two of these fans a long time ago and for no reason that can be explained one of the fans suddenly start making loud rattling noises. Why? I have no clue. The noise will subside after a few minutes of the fan being on, however it always reoccur when I start my pc up from a cold start of being off over night or not being in use for a few hours.

Other Thoughts: I would say look for a different brand of 200mm, yeah these look cool but they might end up being a pain for you as well.

5 out of 5 eggsNice fan

Pros: Big fan that moves air like a big fan should.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Put this fan in an NZXT phantom case, so i'm not sure about issues others have had putting it in an NZXT case.

Manufacturer Response:

We want to thank you for being a customer of NZXT and we appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to make our products better.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this fan unless you have an NZXT case

Pros: Price

Cons: Does not fit 200mm slot unless you have an NZXT case

Other Thoughts: When we tried to install this fan we saw that it was smaller than the 200mm slot on our case. After checking the manufacturer's website we found out why-
Q: Can the NZXT FN 200RB be used in any case that have a 200mm fan slot?
A: No; The NZXT 200mm fans are smaller in diameter, resulting in misalignment between the case, outside of the NZXT brand, mount and the fan. We can only guarantee that the FN 200RB will fit into NZXT cases that have a 200mm fan slot (http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/case_fans/fn_200rb)

Manufacturer Response:

First of all, We want to thank you for being a customer of NZXT.

We can only apologize for the issue you mention, while there is no so call Standard Size for the fan in the market. each manufactory design fans differently.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to let us know how you feel. We appreciate your business and truly want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and will continue to strive to make our products better.
