5 out of 5 eggsUp to Par

Pros: Keeps temps down and it's not overly loud. Does its job

Cons: Somewhat complicated to put together, but not anything terrible.

Other Thoughts: I have Corsair LP memory and it barely clears the top. If I had the regular sticks with the heat fins there would have been issues. Not a problem for me just something to think about.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Works Well. Did drop my temp around 10-15C @ Idle, 15-25C @ w/stress. This is from Stock heat sink to NZXT RC-hv.
Easy installation.

Cons: Price - Cooler master hyper evo is cheaper and yet performance gap isnt that big.
Brackets and Bolts - This is pretty heavy as a Heat sink. causing it to hang but even than it still makes around 90%-95% contact with the CPU.

4 out of 5 eggsA little loud

Pros: Easy instillation. Runs i7 3770k idle at around 2 to 3 degrees above room temp at stock speeds load my i7 gets to 62 to 65 on adia64 stress test at stock speeds. looks awesome

Cons: loudest part of my system But not to loud where i cant bear it about as loud as a xbox 360 at load. fans run on 12v at all times no pwm 4 pin fan connector but i knew this before i brought it. The fans don't sit flush on the heatsink from the rubber mounts.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Where to start? It cools great, the parts are pretty high quality, didn't feel like they'd break any time soon. It sits nice and tight. Didn't have any problems with wiggling or looseness. All-in-all, it's top shelf product. Good job NZXT! They make awesome cases, one of which I'm thinking of picking up in the future, but this cooler is just another great line-up of products.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I have it installed in an Intel computer with an i5 2500K @ 4.4GHz. It cools like a champ. Never saw the temps go above 64C. I use OCCT. I would recommend this product to anyone with room in their case! With that said, the case it's in right now (the Intel one) has a side panel fan that won't go on with this installed. It's a BEAST! So make sure you have room! Measure, take notes, whatever it takes, before you buy this cooler. It's not a huge deal since I'm taking it out and putting into my other case, my main computer. The Intel one I'm selling, so obviously it's not staying in there. Anyway, it's an awesome cooler, and I am really enjoying it. So much easier to install and deal with than the Corsair Hydro series. I understand that they are great coolers, they really are, but this latest batch has some real issues. I've gone through two of them before I returned it for my money back. This is a nice relief.

2 out of 5 eggsDevil in the details

Pros: Rubber mounting made fan installation easy. The LGA 2011 mounting was also easy, and didn't (for me) require access to both sides of the MB.

Cons: I haven't even turned this fan set on, but already I have a few things I wish I had looked more closely at:
This cooler only has 3-pin connectors for the fans - speed control is not necessarily going to be possible through your motherboard. Most MBs use 4-pin connectors so they can control fans through the PWM signal.
This cooler is SUPPOSED to be smaller than some, but it is still PLENTY big. I have an MSI board with RAM on both sides of the CPU socket, and while I literally saw pictures of other boards where it fit nicely between the DIMMs, on mine (MSI X79 Big Bang XPower II) I have had to remove the top heatsinks from the closest Corsair Dominator DIMMs on both sides to install the two fans for this cooler. It would have to be more narrow or the fans higher to allow these DIMMs to work with the top heat sink attached. (IF all slots are filled.)

Other Thoughts: I will re-visit this review if I change how I feel about it (we will see after I hear it run (I choose quiet over speed every time.
