4 out of 5 eggsBA

Pros: i really like the CFM on them and they are extremely quite, they truly go with anycase that you wanna base off color schemes.

Cons: the white tends to show dust much quicker(obviously) and tends to stain quicker then any other color fans so make sure you clean them atleast once or atleast every other month.

4 out of 5 eggsNice fan for the money

Pros: Quiet, moves a lot of air, no issues does its job

Cons: not all black?
loud in a mid tower case
low static pressure? (this is designed for air flow so know that when you buy)

Other Thoughts: as my comments above in the cons. I originally had this in a rose will challenger mid tower and the fan was really loud, well honestly i think the whole thing was loud! But after migrating all gear in to my 800d it is super quiet running it as my only exhaust fan since i use positive pressure and it does a great job at this. will be getting 2 more of these so that i have all matching 140 mm fans in my build. to keep all the air moving in the case.

note there is 8 other fans in this case and i cant hear the nzxt fan over the water pump or rad fans

so for those reading the comments on it being loud it has a lot to do with the case its in and how the air flow path is set up for it

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan

Pros: 140MM
83 CFM

I hooked this fan up to my case fan which is a NZXT Phantom 820
it runs at full speed and my waterpumps make more noise than this fan

Cons: none so far

3 out of 5 eggsNZXT 140 mm Fan

Pros: Lots of airflow. Put this bad boy onto my NZXT Lexa S case into that one empty spot on the top. Set it up as an exhaust. It does have alot of airflow out, keeps a nice circulation throughout the case.

Cons: Loud as hell. Once the guy gets going, or when I turn the fan controller up to full max, it is quite loud. Also, after about 6 months or so, the ball bearing seems to be going because it will irregularly begin this rapid orderly clicking sound. Its not enough noise from the two to get through my headphones when gaming, but if Im in the room next to my computer or in the same room, it is very audible and annoying and does not sound good at all.

Other Thoughts: Im upgrading to the NZXT Phantom 630 case in a month or so, and for the empty 140mm fan slots I will probably get the lower RPM and lower air flow/decibel fan. With 3 200mm fans and 3 140mm fans, I dont think air flow from one fan will make a huge difference.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money! Buy a quality fan.

Pros: They move air...until they break.

Cons: Blades on two separate fans broke of their own accord. Neither fan was located near each other in the case. Another fan decided to start making strange noises about two weeks ago. Found out the bearings were starting to go out after less then three months time. VERY poor quality.

White blades get dirty VERY fast and end up looking grey in under a weeks time.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggs14cm fan

Pros: Provides a good amount of airflow for the amount of noise it creates, which unless you install them wrong/ have a defective one/ install it on the outside of your case, is not much. I took the fan by it's self and applied approximately 7.2 volts of power (R/C car battery 6 cell) and i couldn't hear the fan running in a near silent room with the fan one foot away from my head, holding it IN MY HAND let alone with the acoustic dampening an actual *case* would provide.

Cons: it's not free, it's bearing is not a ball bearing so I don't know if you're supposed to be able to install them horizontally instead of vertically, and that might cause issues

Other Thoughts: I got it with a promo code/ Newegg customer reward code (can't remember which) so I was happy with it for the price but it might just not quite be your cup of tea If you want a 140mm size fan that's not "hyper-speed/ hyper flow " then this is a good investment, I have one that came with my NZXT case, and another that I purchased seperately for a friend's computer. both are running well, and neither is a 'jet engine' seriously, people need to stop getting their patinas in a bunch over the sound of AIR FLOWING and actually diagnose whether or not the fan it's self is actually making the excess noise (bearing grinding/chatter etc, motor squeal) if you're upset by the sound of AIR being PUSHED THROUGH YOUR CASE (the point of ANY case fan) avoid *all* fans like the plague, otherwise, simply don't listen to people whom don't give enough review to actually explain what's up with their results.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsJet Engine

Pros: They look nice and move a pretty good amount of air.

Cons: They are very loud!! I bought two of them for my NZXT 210 Elite, which I absolutely love. These fans have greatly disappointed me. I can hear them rather well while wearing closed headphones with my volume up. I am not sure if I just got bad fans, but I am honestly thinking about removing both of them and buying different fans to replace them.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy these again.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear of your experience with our FZ140 fans. We hope you are willing to get in touch with our RMA department (www.nzxt.com/support/) so that we may replace your fans for you and better understand how we may improve our quality for the future. Once again we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, we understand it is hard to wash away a bad experience but we hope this does not discourage you from our products in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsFound the problem with fan noise

Pros: Lots of room. Excellent for cable management. Great costumer support through their chat live service.

Cons: Had some issue with fan controller. Thought it was the fan thats making buzzing noise. It turns out it was the fan controller.

Other Thoughts: Used their live support service to fix the fan controller problem. Within 2 days was surprised Ups knocked on my door and received the replacement. Now, I can't really tell if my machine is running. (Rev 4.0 ...the one that's making noise is 3.6 that's what I replaced)
Would definitely buy another one.
