MASSCOOL 4B02S4 Hard Disk Cooler

Pros: None

Cons: The screw holes do not line up with the holes on the bottom of any hard drive I've tried. You have to squeeze on both sides of the cooler to get the screws in. Basically, I was unable to do this without getting someone to assist me. One person had to squeeze on both sides of the cooler, while the other had to put the screws in.

Once you finally get it attached to the bottom of a hard drive, it's thick enough that it makes it difficult to install in most cases.

And the worst part is that I purchased 3 of these and after 2 weeks of use, the bearings started to go bad in all of them and the fans were making a very high pitched squeel.

Other Thoughts: I have always been very pleased with MASSCOOL case fans, but I seriously doubt I'll be buying any hard drive coolers made by them again.

Pros: Good cooling power. Keeps my harddrive cool -- when it works.

Cons: I've had this for more than a year now, and it's done nothing except spin when it wants to. Other times it will make weird noises in the fan itself. It's very cheaply made. Not a good investment for the long run

Pros: Cheap, quiet (when not broken)

Cons: Broke after a week

Other Thoughts: Ran well for the first week, then sudden rattling when one of the fans failed. Didn't fit a 2.5" SATA drive.

Pros: Dropped my HDD temp down 23 degrees F
Easy install
Quiet
Worked great for about a year and a half then finally gave out,
but for $7 worth the buy if you don't have a case with good ventilation

Cons: Took up two HDD slots in my case

Pros: As far as I see there are no pros.One out of the 2 fans in the cooler were not turning up to speed.

Cons: Straight out of the box one fan would not turn up to full speed.May sound bad but would cost more in time and effort to send it back than the thing is worth

Pros: Quiet, Sturdy Construction

Cons: made it hard to fit into drive slots in my computer case.

Other Thoughts: seems like a waste of time but they do their job.

Pros: I bought these units because I thought two fans would be better then one or none.

Cons: I was wrong. These would be good ideas if the fans had ball bearings. But the sleeve bearings get dust in them and freeze up. I have a home theater system that has 8 terabytes of storage. The drives need some cooling. These worked for awhile but now they are just heat sinks. only one of the fans moves at all and it only wiggles.
Don't waste your money on these

Other Thoughts: This would have been a good product if ball bearing fans had been used. But they didn't so it's not worth the effort to install them. And it was an effort to install. I had to modify the case as well as the cooler mounting holes.

Don't waste your money on these.

Pros: Some far so good, both fans are running.

Cons: the screw holes doesn't fit. I have to use force to make it fit.

Other Thoughts: Need to fix the screw hole.

Pros: very sharp design, slick double fans...pretty too...not to mention they work great considering i had no hdd fan for years...

Cons: somewhat hard to mount if you're not used to form factors and do it urself mounting...not terribly hard tho...just some improv...

Other Thoughts: masscool always works well anyway...
