5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great out of the box; cpu runs cool as it should, and fan is quiet for my purposes.

Cons: None. It simply is inexpensive and does what it should.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan.

Pros: It works.

Cons: None, really. Small irritation: the dielectric paste had human hairs and tiny flecks of cardboard, must have grazed the factory worktable before being packed. Have some fresh paste at the ready just in case. (Which can also be cheaply bought.)

Other Thoughts: Cheap, no frills, well made fan and heatsink.

3 out of 5 eggsthe cheaper cooler!

Pros: The strong base W/ spring-loaded screws is absolutely the way to go.
fan is a little quieter than stock, but must be hooked onto case fan three-pin. Stock INtel was messing up the fan speed anyway, so no biggie.

Cons: fins shorted out some caps on a genuine intel mobo--You'd better look at the location of these on your setup. Offending fins were EZ to snap off, tho. Nothing went up in flames.

Other Thoughts: I Will apply a 317 adjustable regulator on the yellow (12V) wire when indoor temps get to <18 C. If you have a case 18" or less tall, you will need one of these Masscools, rather than the giant (and better) competition.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap to buy and sure you have to take out the motherboard to install it on a 775 socket but if your smart enuf to be buying your own CPU's, heatsink/fan's etc. etc. then whoopin out a screwdriver and takin a few minutes to put the back plate on is no big deal. (or R ya that lazy). This Heatsink/Fan came to me with a barebones deal, its sitting on a Celeron D 3.2mhz with a Gigabyte 8VM800M MOBO 1280mg RAM thats oc'd to 3.5mhz, My temp stays around 25C to 27 C even when mutltitaskin ( burning a DVD/CD, playing mp3's and yahoo spades all at the same time. Huge heatsink and big fat fan keeps things cool. fan is easily detached to clean.

Cons: Plain ole big fat fan, mine got noiser but not by much about a month ago, So I'm looking right now to replace it with a LED heatpipe. (I have LED fan's in back of case and one in clear side)

Other Thoughts: Nuttin fancy here...but the big fat fan moves alot of air over good size heatsink. Can't beat the price for a standard OEM replacement and if you don't have a clear sided case, because its ugly...but it gets the job done. If I can find a LED fan to fit on it, I'm gonna keep it right where its at. (I have LED fans in back of case and on clear side)

4 out of 5 eggsIDK

Pros: Price

Cons: Unable to mount on the Asus P5LD2 board. 3 caps prevent the heatsink from seating no matter which way you rotate it.
The plate that seats with the CPU is very rough! Can't comment on the performance because I haven't been able to use it.

Other Thoughts: Stock LGA fan broke, this was a replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsWORTH THE MONEY and heres why

Pros: ITS CHEAP
Its a great replacement if you need to replace your broekn STOCK INTEL heatsink and fan.

Cons: none, as long as you remember this heatsink and fan isnt made to out do the intel stock equipment.

Other Thoughts: Now there are alot of reviews compaining about this not doing a better job than their stock heatsink and fans. OK THINK,,, it costs eleven dollars. Do you REALLY think this is going to be better than the stock intel equipment?

If you are lookin for better cooling than what your stock intel heatsink and fan gives you. YOU WILL NEED TO SPEND MORE MONEY on a better cooller. But for the price, this thing qworks great.
