3 out of 5 eggsGood fan, but fragile fins

Pros: Cheap, does what it's supposed to do. Only cost me $5.

Cons: Very Very fragile. I bought two of these within a month and both suffered the same problem - the plastic fins broke off. I bought them to installed to my old XBOX 360 for cooling and fixing the RROD. The RROD was a nasty cooling problem that would be on and off. Consequentially, I had to open the xbox a lot to fidgit with it. During my repairs I would touch the fans a few times by mistake the first fan had a few fins break off from making contact with my finger. I bought another as a replacement and the same thing happened. Normally you wouldn't touch spinning fans often, but with electronics/computer repair sometimes it's unavoidable. I realized from owning both that the plastic used in the fans are very brittle and snap off almost with the slightest of ease. I've owned plenty of fans over the years and usually the fins are pretty sturdy and I've never encountered this problem before. Usually fans have a bit of give to them. These fans appear to use a very cheap and brittle plastic, likely to save on costs. If you need fans that you will never touch again, then buy these, just make sure you know never to touch them while spinning or else you're out another $5.

1 out of 5 eggsgot really loud really fast

Pros: This fan certainly blasted a lot of air and kept my CPU amazingly cool.

Cons: This fan got extremely loud due to resistance of some sort in the bearings. It didn't spin freely very well and was noisy even turning it with my fingers. Here's the fun part: It was operated for about 10 hours before it failed and at approx 44 Celsuis in an open case.

Other Thoughts: Maybe it was a bad one but still, that quick of a failure implies pretty bad construction methods.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap.

Pros: Really, really cheap.

Cons: They don't last very long.

Other Thoughts: I've had three of these now. First one was bought to replace the fan that came with the CPU/heatsink. It was very loud and vibrated quite a bit, and I accidentally broke off one of the blades screwing with it. My fault on that one.

Bought two more when I noticed the low bulk rates on it. First one worked well enough for 5 months until it started slowing down and vibrating a lot, the other one is now a month in and already showing signs of slowing down. Hopefully it lasts until the replacement gets here.

Product on its own deserves maybe 2 eggs. I'll give it 2.5 eggs for the extremely low bulk rate pricing. You'll probably be better off buying something else, even if it costs a bit more.

2 out of 5 eggswon't last long

Pros: cheap!

Cons: I bought two of them at same time, one of them failed after 5 months of operation.
Installed the second one in Jan 2012, won't last more than 6 months or year.

Other Thoughts: I will consider another brand

2 out of 5 eggsDecent fans...while they last

Pros: Relatively cheap and push a decent amount of air

Cons: Short life-span - I bought 4 of them and 2 died within 3 months. I bought another 2 and 1 of those died, again within 3 months.

Other Thoughts: These would be decent fans, if it wasn't for the absurdly short life-span

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't last 4 month's

Pros: quiet, long cable.

Cons: Fan did not last 4 months total. woke up this morning to find the fan "growling" and cpu hitting 178*f

Other Thoughts: while the fan came with a 1 year waranty, I can't take advantage of that. as I had to remove the cloth from the wires to rewire the RPM wire directly to mother board and power directly from PSU thanks to this motherboard. That's not a fault of masscool but it clearly prevents me from using the warranty.

This fan while quiet did not last 4 months total, purchases on 9/2 and its dead as of this morning 12/30 I consider that extreamly poor quality and CPU's aren't cheap. I will never trust masscool ever again.

2 out of 5 eggsLoud, Cheap.

Pros: Keeps the CPU coldish.

Cons: Loud, very loud, revs up to 100% speed and never goes down. First fan i installed died within 24 hours, second one is "Working" But loud, and reved up to 100, All other coolers i attach to the CPU pin speed up and slow down dynamically.

Won't buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a fan

Pros: It works.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a failed heatsink fan for my dad's CPU. The PC doesn't shut down anymore due to heat issues so it works. Not really sure what else to say. It's a fan! I like fans.

Perfect!

5 out of 5 eggs
Perfect size to replace the dead cooling fans in some really small Dell power supplies. Pretty quiet.

5 out of 5 eggs
Very solid little fan. I replaced an EVERCOOL 70mm fan with it, which although also a solid fan, sounded like a leaf-blower. ...
