4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Most inexpensive VGA cooler I could find for my card (HD 4850)
-Before: idle-->82 degrees, max-->120 degrees (celsius, not kidding)
After (on low setting): idle --> 42 degrees, max --> 73 degrees

Cons: Does not come with VRM heatsinks!

Other Thoughts: I installed this cooler on Radeon HD 4850, because the reference cooler was noisy and inefficient (when I took it off, it turned out that it was made of cheap pot metal that had copper foil over it...)

As another reviewer said, for the HD4850 you'll actually need to use the Nvidia N2 links, and then it fits perfectly. Installation was quite easy for the actual heatsink and RAM sinks. However, I needed to make one modification: while the kit contains RAM heatsinks, the VRM chips were left exposed, which is obviously bad.

Luckily, I found a workaround: If you have the reference cooler, take the metal baseplate, use a X-acto knife and score that little "step" where the VRM heatsink and the rest of the heatsink are connected. You can then easily use a pair of pliers to snap the VRM part off the rest of the baseplate- Now you have a VRM heatsink that you can screw back onto the card!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!!!

Pros: I just got this and put it on. AMAZING!! If this fits on your card BUY IT NOW! DO NOT WAIT!! $10 to drop your GPU temps 20 degrees c? Why would you not do that? I went from 60+ degrees idle to who knows what under load. Now I am at 37c idle and not more than 45c under max load running COD:BO.

Cons: I still have a HiS video card. Do not buy HiS unless you buy this cooler. Their fans are terrible, mine failed twice and their RMA process takes weeks to months.

Other Thoughts: I have a HiS 4870 and it fit very good using the N2 fittings. I used Arctic Cool Silver compound. The fan is not very loud, but I have a durable metal case that muffles all my fans pretty good. I picked this up because HiS make TERRIBLE fans that break all the time. I sent the card back to them twice because the fan melted and fell off. Heatsink stayed on but the fan just melted and dropped to the bottom of my case.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome cooler!

Pros: cools amazingly put one on my friends 4850 which the cooler fan went out on it (asus non reference card) coolest i ever seen a video card

Cons: the cage fan is kinda loud... and wont fit in an inwin mailstrom case... bur for 10 bucks the 5 dollar fan i replaced the cage fan with worked great!

Other Thoughts: mounted an 80mm fan to the mounting bracket it came with and it fit and still cooled amazingly, also had to cut a spot in the double slot grill to put the controller witch through

5 out of 5 eggsDude what?

Pros: How can you not like this cooler? It's pretty competitive with the upper end coolers but is usually to be found for 10 bucks lol.

Cons: Umm there aren't any really....maybe a VRM sink? ..for the love of jebus.. it's 10 bucks

Other Thoughts: If you require a VRM sink then this probably won't fit your card or execution method as it is simply for the 8800 era without kit modifications. You can get most any sane (and a few insane) overclocks done just fine with this setup.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome VGA cooler

Pros: This cooler dropped my temperatures by ridiculous amounts. I was idling at around 65 degrees Celsius and graphics intensive games such as Just Cause 2 would raise the temperatures to about 95 degrees Celsius. I now idle in the mid 30s degrees Celsius and under load it does not top 50 degrees Celsius flat.

Cons: The other reviewers who commented on the sheer size of the fan system did not exaggerate, it's huge! I had to remove a cooling fan on my side panel to accommodate the cross flow cooling system.

Other Thoughts: My BFG Nvidia Geforce 9800GT is now running cooler than ever! However, I highly recommend you don't use the thermal grease included in the package; use something much better. The temperatures I am getting are with the fan system set to the highest speed setting since it is not that loud. I also used a much higher quality thermal grease than was included in the box.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent value!

Pros: Light years ahead of reference cooler on Sapphire 4850.Dropped temps across the board 20c.Not noisy at all on 50% setting, haven't had a need for 100%.Not bad to assemble or install, just take a look at the directions first :)
Extremely well made at any price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am running 2 of these in crossfire, fit just fine on a Biostar 790 mb,but I do have a LainLi full tower. My be a little tight in anything but a full size case.

5 out of 5 eggsBest cooler ever

Pros: Very Quiet
Easy to install
Comes with Ram heatsinks
3 Speed ajustable fan from outside of case

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: I have this cooler installed on a Nvidia Geforce 8800GT made by EVGA, it has cooled idle temps to around 40c and load temps to around 60c at most on low settings. That is incredible compared to the stock cooler that sounded like a jet engine inside my computer and did not cool very well. I can now play games and hear the audio from the game instead of my VGA cooler spooling up like a Jet durring take off.

I would recomend this cooler to anyone that is looking for a decent cooler for their graphics card.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great once installed correctly

Pros: Not as large as the Accelero S1 on my other GPU.
Lots of install options.
Dropped temps about 10-15C from my stock cooling fan.
CHEAP

Cons: Medium-high level of installation difficulty.
Can't be used as passive only cooling solution.
Included fan works great but could be too large for some cases.
Moderate sound level (not bad on a gaming machine with other fans though) when the fan is set on medium.

Other Thoughts: I have a dual-GPU crossfire setup (2x ATI 3780 overclocked) and was hoping for another (cheaper) passive solution like the Accelero S1. Unfortunately no matter how I mounted this unit, I could not achieve good results until I installed the barrel fan.

For crossfire, I had to use the dongle on the bridge closest to the end of the card *and* I had to cut away part of the fan/mounting hardware.

The unit w/fan (on medium setting) in a crossfire setup (overclocked) gets idle temps in the upper 30's lower 40's celsius and during gaming it never tops 60 but stays in the mid 50's. This is only a few degrees higher than my Accelero (although it doesn't require a fan).

It fit in my case just fine and because of my other case fans etc. the barrel fan on medium didn't add much to the overall noise level.

Would have preferred not to have to use the barrel fan but the unit only has the 2 heat pipes and the fins are so close together its hard to get air in to cool it without a direct fan

5 out of 5 eggsinexpensive, but not cheap

Pros: I bought this for a mATX build with a rather small case. The stock cooler on my 8800gt was bringing the temps too high for my comfort (62c idle) so I looked for a replacement and found this. It is well made, and the temperature drops WITHOUT using the supplied turbine-style fan to 46c idle!!!
My only problem was that I cant fit the pci bracket to mount the fan overhead so I cut a few fins away and fitted the fan carefully directly to the fan fins. With the fan on high the idle temps are 38c!!! So if you dont want to have to modify this cooler to fit, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BIG CASE...

Cons: not really a con but i had to mod it to fit in my case

Other Thoughts: buy this if you are looking for a cheap cooling solution for your graphics card, but make sure you have the room.
