3 out of 5 eggsI have 3 of these

Pros: I bought three of these for my Cosmos II, just as an airflow improvement project over all of the default fans and to more well match my YateLoon 140mm High Speed exhaust fan which I am extremely happy with... but anyway.

One of these fans I put on the roof of my case directly between my CPU's heatsinks (that point up, as to exhaust out the top) and it works beautifully.

Cons: The other two, I put on the door of the case (to blow at the PCI-E slots which will one day be filled with 3 more GTX 670s, 1 is there now) and they have this high pitched whine that the top fan does not have. Originally I plugged them into the motherboards slots and they went to full RPM and scared the hoohah out of me. I havent tried the "working" fan on full RPM but it got close a few times and does not sound like the two on the door do.

I bought a fan controller for the two on the door and that seems to have helped, ramping them down to about 50% speed, there is no sound. I think these fans may not like blowing horizontally, as they are very powerful. I would reccomend these for roof fans or roof mounted radiator fans. Other than that, get YateLoons, they're great.q

Other Thoughts: Summary: Generally average fans, although high quality, some issues here and there...

2 out of 5 eggsReturn to Sender . ...

Pros: lol

Cons: Arrived DOA. Broken blade, and the broken blade is not even in the box!! No Quality Control somewhere. The packages are not sealed so I cant totally blame MASSCOOL or can I?

Other Thoughts: Got to order something else and just put these MASSCOOL on the shelf when the RMA returns in 2 weekks. ..

2 out of 5 eggsWarning use only on cases

Pros: Yes the fan was noise but 2 of these in a push/pull liquid cooled system worked magic for my hot AMD 1100t. With continous 100% WCG CPU usage. Until...

Cons: The first fan the wiring came off and stopped working with-in the first 2 months. 6 Months in, the second fan actually overheated and melted, almost taking my CPU and PowerSupply with it.

Melted the end connector on the P/S and chared the power cable leading up to it.

Other Thoughts: If you need a case fan, hey the CFM's are great, though noisy. Just hope it does not melt or catch fire.

If you are using a push/pull liquid cooled system, STAY AWAY cheap gauge wiring!

3 out of 5 eggs50/50

Pros: The fan pushes a lot of air!

Cons: One of the two fans i ordered made this really annoying grinding sounds and was unusable. The one that does works works but it is a little to loud.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU fan.

Pros: The fan works right out the box, there isn't any issues I can see with this fan being "too loud".. Its not loud at all.. I have the fan plugged into the powersupply. Being the plug didn't have enough holes to plug it into the motherboard.

Cons: None that I can see.

Other Thoughts: If you want a good fan, I think you may have found it with this one.. I like it.

5 out of 5 eggsLOL LOUD!

Pros: It moves a TON OF AIR! Very nice indeed.

Cons: Sounds like an aircraft carrier...took it out of my system. Don't buy unless you have a need for a super loud system or want to control fan speeds.

Other Thoughts: It is what it is - a huge, loud, powerful fan. I think you could use this to cool yourself and your desk! lol

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fans

Pros: Awesome fans....took out 2 of the 230mm fans in my HAF932 and replaced them with 4 120mm. 2 of them being this fan here. They work fantastic, moving way more air than the stock fans did and dropped my CPU temp idle from 41C to 34C and under load 60C down to 53C.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Yes, of course they do run a little loud but it was expected and also why you have some fan speed controller(so no egg taken away), slow 'em down and problem solved. Using as exhaust in my current setup.

3 out of 5 eggs50% success rate

Pros: Moves a lot of air, 1 fan took my pc from cooking my graphics card 85+ c to just run desktop, to running furmark and wow at 64c stable

Cons: 1 fan dies shortly after install.
Loud at full RPM but you should know that already.

starting making a thumping noise and then 1 of 2 quit

Other Thoughts: After a closer the connector for the 3pin into the motherboard it is better attached to the molex ad on rather than the 3 wires running to the fan. if you feel like taking it apart, reconnecting the crimp connector inside the 3 pin and soldering it together the way it should be done. it should be a great fan. but in my case this fan was a pain to install in a little cubby hole in the front of my case, and then to have it quit is not cool...

will be RMA ing the dead one, and hopefully it's replacement will last longer than 48 hours
