1 out of 5 eggsAwful to install

Pros: I actually got the thing onto my board on my socket 1366.

Cons: The standoffs provided are too short to actually work correctly with my MSI socket 1366 board, I had to use other screws and just put it on with screws and nuts. It was really a hassle and it doesn't feel secure.

Other Thoughts: If it won't fit all 1366 boards (mine isn't special or anything), then it's not designed for socket 1366 and shouldn't be advertised as being so.

5 out of 5 eggsA friend of mine said it looked like a skyscraper in my computer

Pros: Runs my i5 ice cold
Not really loud

Cons: Installation wasn't that easy, it took me quite a while to get the bracket mounted on my motherboard. Although this was my first time using a fan that required a bracket so I did take my time rather than rush.

Other Thoughts: Based on reviews here this heatsink drops the temperature of pretty much any processor, I purchased this item on a whim when I built my new rig. I sometimes have issues with heat based on airflow in my house. With this heatsink combined with an Antec 900 case has had incredible results.

4 out of 5 eggswould recomend

Pros: fits in an Apevia X-master case on a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C board with no problems. Dropped temps on E8200 12 degrees at idle and whole bunch more when loaded over stock cooler' and Arctic Silver paste hasn't even cured yet. Temps are now not worrying me every time I use my HTPC.

Temps went from mid to high 50 degree C to the high 30/ med 40 degree C when streaming TV.

Cons: Mine didn't sit flat and base needed to be lapped. Perfectly flat in one direction and wavy as heck in second direction. Had a noticeable rock when set on chip before lapping. Might not be a problem but I always check and, if to bad, lap coolers just in case.

Other Thoughts: This was about the only cooler I could find that would fit in my case and be an improvement over stock. Install was no problem and it works well. I recommend this to anyone who has space limitations in there case and needs to upgrade the CPU cooler.

2 out of 5 eggsLOUD, very meh

Pros: -Better than the stock HSF
-Solid mounting (requires access to the back of the mobo)
-Good price (kind of)

Cons: -LOUD - oh my gosh this thing roars! I used this on a build for a friend and he brought it back to me for some maintenance - I was so surprised at how loud the machine was because of this thing!

-Sub par cooling. Definitely better than stock, but I was not impressed at all - I even lapped it to a near-mirror finish to try and get better performance, and it still ran ~5C hotter than my Zalman CNPS9500.

Other Thoughts: I definitely don't recommend this product - it's waaay too loud and at the same price point you can find coolers that will be much more effective.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Design. Fan Ok.

Pros: This fan/HS combo is nice and a lot more compact than the last monstrosity I put in an i7 build (Vigor Monsoon - which is millimeters from the side panel in most cases). It seems to do the job, and has the 4 pin connector so that it can be speed controlled by most current MoBos.

Cons: The fan ramp up noise is noticeable, however I am not going to deduct an egg. For the price, this fan works great out of the box.

Other Thoughts: For novice PC builders this fan is a no brainer and you should consider it. The fan is large enough to dissipate heat from an i7 and compact enough to not get in the way of other components.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond time is a charm

Pros: Seems to do a great job of keeping my 990X at 45C.

Cons: First was DOA, fortunately the ASUS Mobo let me know. But RMA'ed and replaced and I'm back in business. Newegg was great about the whole thing. Be sure to reorder and set your RMA for refund. That would have saved me two days at least. Oh well, I'm happy to say that through Newegg this is my first RMA!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Keeps CPU very cool under load
Installation was quite easy.

Cons: Loud

Other Thoughts: This little puppy keeps my i7 running cool under heavy loads. Only problem is it is a wee bit loud. Once I have my headphones on it isn't an issue, but I can see it being one if you don't use headphones or are just doing anything other than gaming.

Only 4 eggs for this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Had this cooler for over 2 years now and it has kept my OC'd E8400 C2D (3.8ghz 9x425) idle @ 38c and full load (gaming, encoding, etc etc) never goes over 50c.

Cons: None regarding the cooler tho the fan inside has started to make a loud ticking noise and I'll be replacing it soon if possible.

Other Thoughts: This was a random buy and turned out to be great for a very cheap price, lasting 2 years before any issues appeared.
My Rig:
e8400 C2D OC'd to 3.8ghz
Gigabyte GA-X48-DS5 Mobo
2x2gb Corsair XMS2 Memory
Nvidia gtx460 1gb GPU OC'd
Masscool 8wa743 CPU Cooler
1tb Samsung Spinpoint Media drive
250gb HDD main drive (ordering an SSD soon)
