2 out of 5 eggsDid not keep my i5 cool enough.

Pros: It's quiet.

Cons: Did not keep my mildly overclocked i5 3670k cool enough for my tastes.

Other Thoughts: If I weren't overclocking I think this would have worked out alright, but I just didn't like the temps I was seeing.

3 out of 5 eggsEh, could be better

Pros: Pair this with Arctic Silver Thermal Compound, and it's decent. It keeps the CPU cool. Once installed (see below), I haven't had to mess with it, other than blowing out the dust bunnies periodically.

Cons: It's pretty loud (in an airflow kind of way) if you have nothing else making noise in the room. Fortunately for me, the TV is nearly always on and other noises are present. It's also pretty big, and I had a little trouble getting it mounted on the CPU and mobo correctly.

Other Thoughts: I probably won't be buying another one of these on my next build. It's okay for the time being, though.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good Heatsink

Pros: This heatsink can manage itself pretty well, idle time stays at a constant 31C and around 65C during load, that is the highest I've seen my CPU get too. Overall its a great heatsink that gets the job done whether your gaming or not.

Cons: Can be tricky for some too install, bearings are a wee bit short but not enough to deduct an egg.

Other Thoughts: If your looking to overclock, I wouldn't recommend this Heatsink over others, but for the price its a GREAT one.

4 out of 5 eggsGood price and lasted 5 years

Pros: Can't beat the price.

Cons: Sharp edges!

Other Thoughts: The bearing inside the fan has finally died on me. After taking it apart, using a lubricant, it worked for a few months after but it think it is time to replace it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot horrible, but not great either

Pros: Good cooling for the price.

Cons: I've had this cooler just over 2 years and the fan just quit on me. I emailed Masscool asking if I could purchase a replacement fan and they just told me to buy a new cooler. Yeah no thanks. I think 2 years is a little short of a life span but I guess if you don't go ahead and buy one.

I did find a replacement fan for it but after removing the heatsink a few times it doesn't seem to seat all the way anymore. My cpu temps are all over the place at idle.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Probably works great if you can hire someone to hold it in place for you

Cons: I got this based on its similar design to the last Masscool cooler I got, which worked reasonably well. With the assumption that this thing would actually do its job, I had no qualms about taking out my motherboard to install it -- I'd rather do that than deal with those push-pins and rickety plastic mounting brackets. Of course, after several hours of adjusting, re-adjusting, tightening screws, loosening screws, and everything else one can do to get a heatsink properly seated, this thing still doesn't perform as it should. At any given moment, there's a ~10*C difference between the hottest and coolest core when idle, and a ~22*C difference under full load. Pushing on the top-right corner mitigates this difference significantly, indicating that the heatsink isn't making proper contact with the CPU. Avoid this thing like the plague, especially if you're still on socket 775. I've never had such a hard time with a piece of hardware, especially one that ends up not working.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful to install

Pros: I actually got the thing onto my board on my socket 1366.

Cons: The standoffs provided are too short to actually work correctly with my MSI socket 1366 board, I had to use other screws and just put it on with screws and nuts. It was really a hassle and it doesn't feel secure.

Other Thoughts: If it won't fit all 1366 boards (mine isn't special or anything), then it's not designed for socket 1366 and shouldn't be advertised as being so.

5 out of 5 eggsA friend of mine said it looked like a skyscraper in my computer

Pros: Runs my i5 ice cold
Not really loud

Cons: Installation wasn't that easy, it took me quite a while to get the bracket mounted on my motherboard. Although this was my first time using a fan that required a bracket so I did take my time rather than rush.

Other Thoughts: Based on reviews here this heatsink drops the temperature of pretty much any processor, I purchased this item on a whim when I built my new rig. I sometimes have issues with heat based on airflow in my house. With this heatsink combined with an Antec 900 case has had incredible results.

4 out of 5 eggswould recomend

Pros: fits in an Apevia X-master case on a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C board with no problems. Dropped temps on E8200 12 degrees at idle and whole bunch more when loaded over stock cooler' and Arctic Silver paste hasn't even cured yet. Temps are now not worrying me every time I use my HTPC.

Temps went from mid to high 50 degree C to the high 30/ med 40 degree C when streaming TV.

Cons: Mine didn't sit flat and base needed to be lapped. Perfectly flat in one direction and wavy as heck in second direction. Had a noticeable rock when set on chip before lapping. Might not be a problem but I always check and, if to bad, lap coolers just in case.

Other Thoughts: This was about the only cooler I could find that would fit in my case and be an improvement over stock. Install was no problem and it works well. I recommend this to anyone who has space limitations in there case and needs to upgrade the CPU cooler.
