Pros: Cheap, ez to replace.
Cons: Cheap! good for a few months, then throw it out and replace it with one that works... I use 2 to 3 fans a year, but again it's cheap.
Other Thoughts: I put these fans in an old p4 sony. works just fine for a while. I keep a few on hand so I can replace them.

Fan requires manual assist to start.
Pros: I've had the fan installed for 3 weeks, using 16 hours a day. Runs quietly. NB: this is fan only; no heatsink attached.
Cons: The fan hardly ever spins when the computer is turned on. When I manually spin the fan briefly, it always functions normally when I turn the computer on. I checked to make sure that the 4 lock-down screws were not too tight, and they weren't. In 12 years of computing, I've never had a new fan misbehave this way!
Other Thoughts: It's too inexpensive to send back, so I'll have to buy another fan when I get tired of giving it a manual assist!

Won't work with TIVO
Pros: Probably works just fine
Cons: Bought to replace noisy TIVO HD fan of same size. Unfortunately the TIVO would not work with this fan installed! I suspect different current draw from original fan.
Other Thoughts: Cheep enough, held on to fan and probably use it in a computer builds one of these days
