5 out of 5 eggsblue fan

Pros: Moves lots of air and does it while being whisper quiet It's not extremely bright but it casts an interesting pattern on the wall behind my computer since I am using it as an upper back exhaust fan in my red NZXT Phantom full size case. Red case with all blue lighting and fans makes for an interesting look.

Cons: Cons? None I don't guess.

Other Thoughts: The only maybe is the longevity is an unknown at this time. I've used a lot of Masscool fans over the years (and not just in computers) and they have stood up well. The only time I have replaced them was when I would redo a project and needed a different style, color or size. I would usually pass them on to some one else rather than trash them.

5 out of 5 eggsBall Bearing Fans

Pros: I've been using Green version of this fan for 3 years. The 2 I bought 3 years ago are still running fine, though I did lose a couple LED's over that time. Currently, I have 5 in my case, and 2 on my Hyper 212 EVO.... I've used many brands over the years, and these compete well with fans at twice the price. I love them. They flow better than any I've tried, as well.

Cons: Only con I can think of, beside 1 or 2 LED's dying young, is availability.

Other Thoughts: 99% of the fans I've tried lasted less than a year. That these still run after 3 years, is amazing, IMO. Buy them, you won't be sorry. Yes, they do create wind, and as such, are not silent at full speed. A controller cures that quite well.

5 out of 5 eggsI hear a clacking but its ok.

Pros: Pulls air how it is suppose to.

Cons: The fan blade keeps hitting an LED bulb in one of the corners, all you have to do is push it in and the sound stops.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent cheap fan for air-cooled systems!

Pros: The fans are brilliant for the price.
Quiet when controlled by PWM.
Blue LEDs are bright, yet not overwhelming.
No grinding or high pitched noises.
The mounting screws are self tapping (even cooler master and many other big names don't include thses).

Cons: 2 LEDs went out on one of the fans making only the too 1/2 light up (kinda messed up my look).
Gets loud when controlled via Molex (not leafblower loud however, just too loud for an external speaker system).

Other Thoughts: Bought 3 to help with my case, and ended up only using one now. Took out the LEDs on the broken fan and set the PWM controls to 1k rpm and I can't hear it at all. Just gonna say it's good for the money, yet not as good as AF120s or Noctua NF-F12s

4 out of 5 eggsOkay fans for the price

Pros: Price
Blue LED's

Cons: Cheap

Other Thoughts: 2 of the LED lights in one of the fans fizzled out. Fans are a bit noisy, but they do run at 1500 rpm (keeping that in mind for future fans that I buy). Good for the price, but a bit disappointed in quality. Not a bad deal though.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent air flow. Compared to an 80mm fan it is silent.

Cons: Masscool has quality fans but with this order of two I received both had minor defects. One of which has an extra length of wiring that protruded out from the casing and caused the fan blades to hang up and wouldn't turn. The other fan two of the four LED's don't light up. Other than that they work great.

4 out of 5 eggsGood looking, but noisy

Pros: They look good and seem to move a reasonable amount of air.
Sleeved cables are a nice touch.

Cons: Noisy motor when running at full speed.

Other Thoughts: These fans look very nice, but the motors in both of the ones I got are so noisy that I'm still debating whether I can live with it. Even with my fan controller turning them down as far as it can go, there is still a noticeable whine coming from them and on high it becomes intolerable (IMHO).

I should also note that two of the LED's on one of my fans died within a couple of days of installation. I'm not docking any points for that since I could have RMA'd it, but for an $8 fan it just wasn't worth the hassle. And as I said I'm still unsure whether I will even keep using these.

If you're looking for some attractive, solid fans and don't care about noise then these will be perfect for you. Just don't buy them expecting anything close to silence.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but could be better.

Pros: Comes with Molex & 3 Pin connector. Decent black cloth cable cover. Quiet and cheap.

Cons: Comes with four small silver screws for mounting. Not optimal on many of the newer cases out there. Not particularly birght.

3 out of 5 eggsDo your homework

Pros: Cheap, moves air, has blue lights.

Cons: Cheap, doesn't move a lot of air, blue lights are just there...but do not pop like some other fans I have bought.

Other Thoughts: IF you are going to spend the money, invest in good fans. Aerocool Shark fans are good and worth the investment. I won't make the mistake of buying cheap fans...didn't get the results I was looking for and wasn't suprised. Don't be cheap when it comes to cooling your case...especially if you are serious about this stuff.
