4 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: Copper core, 95mm PWM fan, screw-in type w plastic backplate. quiet at idle.

Cons: Noisy at full tilt on my i5 3550 at 3.9ghz (noise appears to be due to the amount of air being moved). Temps reach 80c max with included thermal paste. (Basically same results as stock intel cooler but with better mounting)

Other Thoughts: Perhaps temps will be better with another paste. I tried to use use the paste included to see what performance would be like out of the box. Time to try MX-4 and see any improvement.

5 out of 5 eggseasy install

Pros: easy installation. you dont have to hold the plastic behind the motherboard as some reviews said. the screw holes on the plastic goes into the motherboard screw holes and is in place for screws. being plastic is better than metal imo for not conducting electricity.

Cons: the frame work blocks a slot of ram on my mb although i only planned to use two of the four slots.

Other Thoughts: definitely better than the stock fan since it seems to last quite a while even after multiple times of taking off and reassembling. i also own another similar fan/heatsink as this one and like it a lot.

3 out of 5 eggsIn response to another user's review

Pros: Has a heatsink.

Fan works.

Comes with stock thermal paste (in a tube).

Cons: Does NOT fit the Socket 775 Intel MicroATX motherboards. Just thought I'd clarify that as another review stated that it did.

Plastic backboard.

Other Thoughts: Shipped fast, even though I used Super Saver shipping, it arrived in 4 days.

Good packaging.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Choice for 775/1156/1155 CPU's

Pros: has a nice mounting system, screws and mounts are metal, but base is plastic. does a decent job with my 3770K i7 running a 100x40 ratio. during BF3 it will spike to about 67-70C but according to Intel this is normal for this CPU.

Cons: 1 egg knock off for this:

you HAVE to hold the plastic, yes plastic, base to your board while you screw down the sink. should be at least a adhesive mounting tape or something to keep the base in place so it makes easy installing.

Other Thoughts: if this was a all metal sink and the installation just a tad bit easier no eggs would come off. other than that, im happy
