1 out of 5 eggsGot a little over 2 years out of it.

Pros: Quiet, worked good while it lasted.

Cons: As the title says, I got a little over 2 years out of it before it started a high pitched squeal. The computer was on pretty much non-stop but nowhere near the 40,000 life hours as the box stated. I never overclock the computer or anything, just standard CAD work.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cooler for mini ITX Build

Pros: Fits my mini ITX board and build. Provides better cooling than stock Intel 1st gen I3 cooler with about the same noise level. Copper contact a plus. Included thermal compound a nice touch.

Cons: Backer plate (which I like vs the 1/4 turn Intel approach) took a little pocket knife whittling to go over two chips on the back of the board. A little annoying but not an egg slayer.

Other Thoughts: Cooling fins are about twice as high as stock Intel cooler that adds about 1" to the height. Board footprint the same as stock cooler which was a must on my mini ITX build.

5 out of 5 eggsKeeps my CPU cool

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool (i3-4370). Dropped temps about 5*C idle and about 15*C vs the stock cooler when coupled with Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Grease

Cons: Can be a bit noisy at full load - but not the noisiest fan I've owned

Other Thoughts: Why do Haswell Processors run so darn hot?? Seriously Intel needs to go back to using fluxless solder on the heatspreader.

This i3 is a 55w CPU yet it was hitting 100*C load (prime95) with the stock heatsink - which is just rediculous

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A great replacement for the crazy Intel Stock heatsink with a great price tag. Have had it for 3 months now and haven't had any issues with RPMs sounding louder or anything, all I hear is my stock chassis fan. Plus the installation wasn't hard either, I was even able to install it while in the case. (With case on its side I should add)

Cons: None at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGood cooler

Pros: Solid construction, and the mechanism to attach it to the MB is well engineered and rugged. I also like that it came with thermal grease.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had before-and-after core temps, but this was a replacement for a failed fan. Now the cores are running in the mid-30's, which I'm very happy with. (Core i5 Sandy Bridge)

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: I've owned Masscool CPU Coolers before and have been quite pleased. Very secure mount to the motherboard (almost too secure, was afraid I might crack the board) with screws and backing plate.

Cons: These aren't really cons but something to think about:

After about 6 months of constant use on auto setting its developed a small hum which gradually gets louder as it spins about 25% faster. It's becoming quite noticeable now and I'm looking to replace.

Had a little trouble with installation, mainly due to the fact the backing plate pins do not stick out quite as far on the motherboard as previous Masscool coolers. However, taking it slowly I was able to secure it without problem, but be careful you don't crack your board!

Other Thoughts: Good product but beware of fan making some noises if you're unlucky with the ball bearing.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid replacement cooler

Pros: Solid construction, runs quiet, easy to install. Really that's all there is to day for the price you really can't beat it. Only thing for novices to note is that you have to remove the stick on the base and apply compound.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely easy to install!!

Pros: As the title implies "Extremely easy to install". I have been building computers for about 10 years and have to say that this cooler was one of the easiest to install. Just 4 screws and you are you done. Also the price was excellent at only $14 compared other $30-40 coolers.

Cons: Nothing seems to come to mind.

Other Thoughts: Use this with an i5 3470 and it rocks. Keeps my cpu at a really cool temperature. For the price I really cannot ask for anything more. The biggest reason for the purchase is the profile of the heat sink. It does not get in the way of my memory or any other heat sink on my mobo.
