4 out of 5 eggsOK cooler

Pros: Looks good through the side window of a case, keeps proc cool, good price.

Cons: Well you have to change the base mounting bracket. The stock brackets installed on the mobo's won't work with the cooler. The included paste is not good (get some arctic silver).

Other Thoughts: Wish the cooler was a few cm's smaller then it would fit the bases that are already installed on the MOBO's. I have 3 of these With Arctic Silver It keeps my procs under 40* and thats good.

5 out of 5 eggscool

Pros: takes heat off cpu. doesn't talk back.

Cons: would not fit in the old case i was using to build this system. was touching the side mounted power supply.
a new case solved that problem.

Other Thoughts: this cpu heatsink inspired me to buy a cheap but cool looking case.
i always wanted a new case just never had the motivation.

Cons: None so far but will keep Newegg posted!

Other Thoughts: As always, a good product from Newegg!

3 out of 5 eggsNice looking

Pros: Not too loud but could be faster.
does a better job than a stock cooler but not that much.

Cons: Cheap feeling heatsink needs more copper.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Price, quality, efficient, quiet

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It cools a AMD A64 3200+ 2.2G 754 512K very well. You can't beat the overall bargin $$ you get this cooler for.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy as installing a heatsink/fan

Pros: Surprisingly easy to install. Support board on mainboard matched supplied support board exactly so did not need to screw additional parts directly to the mainboard.

Cons: Fairly big. Although it doesn't obstruct anything on my mainboard, I could see it being a bit intrusive on other boards.

Other Thoughts: As far as heatsing/fans go, it has proven its worth and since I am not an overclocker, I may never see any reason to complain.

4 out of 5 eggsWell.. what do you expect?

Pros: Keeps temps moderately cool. It was easy to install, although I can see how someone with less technical experience could run into problems.

Cons: My heatsink had obviously been used, repackaged, and sent to me. I could see where the thermal greese had been applied & whiped off.. and there were scrapes in the metal. Aside from this, it was fine.

Other Thoughts: Use Arctic Silver 5 - DO NOT USE THE CRUMMY THERMAL PASTE THAT COMES WITH IT! NOT EVEN ON A BUDGET! You'll be glad you did.

It costs less than a soda and popcorn at a movie theater - what do you expect? Couple this with a 4000+ [at its current price] and your in business, all for under a hundred bucks.

4 out of 5 eggsDoesn't do Semperons

Pros: Very large, and well designed aluminum heat sink, large quiet fan, installs very easily.

Cons: Does not come into physical contact with my Semperon CPU, the plastic base places a gap between the bottom of the heat sink and the top of the CPU, large enough that not even the heat grease touched the heat sink. I'm sure it would work fine on a Athlon 65 which has a metal cover.

Other Thoughts: Great design, but misleading to say it can be used with a Semperon CPU, when the design doesn't allow it to come low enough to touch it. My CPU was going to 200 degrees+ and shutting down the system until I put the original heatsink/fan back on. I will hold on to this until I upgrade to a Athlon 64.
