The Tuniq Tower 120 offers you an extraordinary solution for heat dissipation. You'd have a hard time finding a better CPU cooler at such an affordable price.

The Tower 120 is the world’s first high-raise CPU cooler. Instead of regular 7-blade fans, the Tuniq offers better performance with a unique 9 blade fan. It works ultra quietly so that you can hardly hear it. Furthermore, you can tune the speed of fan with the available controller. The 3 copper heatpipes embedded into the copper base easily transfer the damaging heat from the CPU to the huge heatsink. With the airflow created by the powerful 9 blade fan, the heat is dissipated rapidly.

For maximized contact between the copper base and CPU, high performance thermal grease is part of the package. The cooler is easy to install and perfectly compatible with all K8 and P4 CPUs. A quite practical CPU cooler for you.

  • newegg Superior Heat Dissipation and Cooling Performance 3 innovatively-designed copper heatpipes, and high-density Aluminum fins maximize heat transfer and dissipation. Plus a 120mm, 2000RPM fan delivers a strong air flow for exceptional cooling performance.
  • newegg Extreme Quiet Fan The Tower 120 installs a mid-set high performing ultra-silent 9-blade 120mm fan, which offers better performance than the regular 7 blades.
  • newegg Adjustable Fan Speed The Tuniq Tower 120 provides a PCI fan controller so you can fine tune the fan speeds for an optimal balance between cooling performance and noise level.
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility As an all-in-one solution for PC systems, the Tuniq Tower 120 features broad compatibility with all K8 or P4(LGA775) CPUs. Specially designed clips provide a secure attachment on motherboard.
  • newegg Thermal Grease Included High-performance thermal grease is available to ensure a perfect combination between the copper base and CPU for an excellent heat conduction.

5 out of 5 eggsStill kicking

Pros: This thing still works almost 3 years after I bought it here on newegg. Can't really say much about it except I think my desktop will prolly die before this heatsink does. Would recommend.

Cons: None. Great product.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: Large cooler keeps the CPU at 30-33 degrees Celcius on the lowest setting. The board temp is 40c w/o air con.

Cons: Not as quiet as id like it to be. I would install a new fan but I don't have any fan that are temp controlled. Also the fan must be manually adjusted to change speed which isn't a big deal for me because I keep it on low, but it could be troublesome. On high settings this fan screams.

4 out of 5 eggsCase Cooler

Pros: Great looking cooler, comes with everything you need, fan controller is great.

Cons: Very Big, do not like the way locks down on cpu.

Other Thoughts: Not very familiar with big coolers, and do not like the way it locks down on cpu so I am going to use the stock cooler that came with my AMD thudan 1090.

5 out of 5 eggsbig, bulky but cool

Pros: This thing took my temps way down. With stock cooler, my q6600 was OC'd to 2.9GHz from 2.4GHz stock. Temps were getting up to low 80s. Put this bad boy in and now I'm at 3.2 GHz at 1.4V on the CPU and never get over 62 degrees. Idles at 34 degrees. I have a cheap Cooler Master mid tower case and this thing barely fits. Maybe a few mm of clearance, so measure before you buy. This thing was cheap on sale, 34 bones.

Cons: This thing weighs about 2 pounds. Make sure you use the back plate and install it correctly. The back plate acts like a snowshoe, if you can picture that analogy. Spreads the weight out so it doesn't damage your mobo.

Other Thoughts: The fan is pretty quiet. It can get noticeable at 2000 rpm. If you get it to around 1700 rpm, its pretty quiet and cools great. Cools just as good as an expensive Zalman, so why waste your money? Get it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat heatsink, does the job.

Pros: Currently sitting on an i7 960 OC'd to 4.0ghz. Cores are sitting at ~40*C idle and go up to about 70*C on full load, which is pretty nice.

Cons: I would not recommend this if you don't have a full size case like the HAF 932 or something similar. You might have serious trouble in a mid-tower, especially if you have large hands, trying to screw in the back plate.

Other Thoughts: I'm just bummed I paid $52.99 for it, so pick it up while its low you lucky people.

5 out of 5 eggsCool big cooler

Pros: This cooler is pretty big but should fit in most cases. It was fairly easy to mount on my ASUS P5QL motherboard. It seemed pretty secure especially with the back plate that has double sided tape to hold it to the board. It looked pretty cool and the fan control had cables that where long enough for any case. The fan was pretty quiet and with the fan control you can make it even quieter.

Cons: When sliding the fan out of between the aluminum fins it seemed a little rough coming out but you shouldn't really need to take the fan out unless you plan on getting a better one. The fan control knob was too big to fit through the expansion card slots on the back of my case but the knob pops of so it was not a problem.

Other Thoughts: After finishing a bunch of modding work on my case and other components a re-built my system and my motherboard would not even enter the BIOS so i don't know how well it performs but is will be giving it to my friend so i will know soon enough. I could try and figure out what the problem was but i just took the chance to get myself an ASUS P8P67 Deluxe so i had to get a new cooler because it doesn't support the 1155 socket.

3 out of 5 eggsAM3 AM2 Problems

Pros: Very low fan noise. Tall but not very wide. Has enough space from the fins to the cooling plate for even the tallest of memory modules to fit underneath.

Cons: The AM2/3 mounting solution seems thrown in. In fact retention piece needs real physical might to stick on the motherboard. Looks great for Intel sockets but stay away for AM2/3.

Other Thoughts: Its too bad i really wanted this cooler to fit my board with less hassle.
