5 out of 5 eggsbest air cooler

Pros: Before i bought this cooler, i did some very extensive research about every air cooler, from the titan fenrir, prolimatech megahelms, armageddon, megashadows, noctua d-14, thermalright 120, venomous x, tuniq tower; pretty much anything you can name. came to it, it was the cogage arrow that was worth the price/performance. it cools better than the noctua d-14, which is the 'BEST' air cooler money can buy you with only 1 fan and 30 dollars less.

Cons: once the heatsink is mounted, mounting the fan bracket was a toughy, because i had to change fans (35mm scythe kraze), couldnt see the bottom holes. but its no big deal to me really.

Other Thoughts: cogage arrow: scythe ultra kraze + stock fan, i7 920 C0 @ 3.8ghz temps: min: 34 max: 66

5 out of 5 eggsCogage Arrow

Pros: Where do I begin? The Cogage Arrow is one massive heat sink that has lots of potential. It features a high quality construction - nickel plated copper base, four 8mm nickel plated copper heat pipes are soldered to each and every aluminum fin. All of this matched with 56 aluminum fins on each heat sink (112 total) allows for lots of heat to be dissipated.

The Arrow includes a 120mm fan that I never even bothered to use. It supports up to three 120mm x 25mm fans, three 140mm x 25mm fans or three 120mm x 38mm fans. The latter is the best choice for cooling due to the higher static pressure. Avoid 120mm x 25mm fans and 140mm fans for heat sinks.

Notice the reasonable price. This is a modified Thermalright IFX-14 (Cogage is owned by Thermalright). The only difference is the fin design. This cooler actually has a better fin design than the IFX-14, and it is much cheaper.

Cons: The mounting system is nowhere near as good as Prolimatech's or Noctua's. The base is rather rough which is why the Noctua NH-D14 outperforms this heat sink by default. Lap the base and you have the champion here. Runner up would be a lapped Thermalright IFX-14.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this but lapped, along with three Delta 120mm x 38mm fans (6000 RPM/210 CFM/64 DBA). Cools my i7 980x at 4.96 ghz pretty well. This will due until my Cooler Express SS phase change unit comes.

This outperforms every other heat sink I have tested after lapping - the Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright IFX-14 (but most tests were actually the same as the IFX-14), Prolimatech Megahalems, Prolimatech Armageddon, Noctua NH-U12P, Thermalright Venomous-X, lapped TRUE copper and the Corsair H50.
