Do not settle for a stock air cooler, go liquid with ease with the CORSAIR Hydro H50 water cooling solution.

Your PC will run cooler and quieter when you replace your CPU’s standard heatsink with a Hydro Series H50. Installation is straightforward. If you can get to the back of your PC’s motherboard, you can install H50. All you’ll need is a screwdriver and you'll be up and running in minutes. Maintenance is minimal thanks to closed-loop architecture and pre-filled coolant, which also deliver unmatched durability and reliability for worry-free use for years to come.

  • newegg Excellent Cooling Performance Step up to higher efficiency and performance of water cooling. The micro fin copper cold plate delivers superior heat transfer, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger works in concert with low-noise, low-speed 120mm fan enabling highly efficient heat dissipation, and at the same time keeping you in great peace of mind with minimized noise.
  • newegg All-in-One Closed-Loop System The CORSAIR Hydro H50 comes with pre-filled coolant and closed-loop design which requires no refilling and reduces the risk of liquid leakage to minimum, resulting in higher stability and minimized maintenance.
  • newegg Easy Installation The all-in-one design with closed loop makes for easier installation compared to traditional modular water cooling system. Complete with flexible rubber hose, low-profile black aluminum heat exchanger and low-profile integrated pump, you'll get hindering-free installation even in cramped space. (The Hydro Series H50 requires a 120mm fan mount location near the CPU in your chassis. Typically the rear exhaust fan is replaced with by the Hydro Series cooler.)
  • newegg Universal Socket Compatibility The Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler is compatible with Intel Socket 1156, 1155 and LGA1366. (The products shipped by Newegg are not ready for AMD. However, Newegg customer who wishes to receive free AMD bracket can contact Corsair by emailing rmaservice@corsair.com and get one in your convenience)

4 out of 5 eggsNot the same as the H50i

Pros: Quiet fan in right case.
Excellent cooling.

Cons: Hoses are rubbery and flat unlike my original H50 which had ribbed and harder plastic. This model feels cheaper and appears less able to withstand the test of time - we shall see.

Other Thoughts: 3570k @ 4.4 Idle temps avg 30c
Load temps avg upper 40's c

5 out of 5 eggsDropped i7 3770k down 7 degrees

Pros: Keeps really cool while idle 29c for me.
Setup is fairly easy (see other thoughts)

Cons: None I found yet

Other Thoughts: I have an 1155 socket. Which is listed on newegg as compatible but not in the manual the cooler comes with. No problem, use the 1156 for the back plate, it won't sit straight with the CPU on the back but that's ok and is known by corsair.
FYI I have a corsair 550D case which has sweet little rubber grommets in the fan holes to reduce vibration/noise. When mounting the rad the provided screws couldn't reach because of the grommets. I just pushed harder and forced it to reach, not pretty but seems to work. The washers you're supposed to put on the screws made it worse but like I said it worked.
Hope it helps...

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: Easy to install, don't know why anyone would have issues with installing it , only took me ten minutes and a little trimming of the back plate and walla my machine runs at idle 25*c and at load 32*c. Next step to try overclocking my i5-750 from 2.6ghz on up.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: Make the back plate easier to trim for oddball mother boards .

3 out of 5 eggsWhat's That Sound?

Pros: Effectively cools cpu, no sweat (Haha, hoohoo, heehee). Keeps temps between 30-35 C at idle, and 45-50 C under load.

Cons: The pump is audible, and in a quiet room, may drive you INSANE. The sound is like a mix of a computer case fan's ball bearing beginning to fail, and a fish tank pump. It's really irritating, but is still less audible than, say, 3 or 4 case fans at a mid to high rpm.

The installation instructions are INCORRECT. That is, they are either not detailed enough, or are missing a step, which is essentially them not being detailed enough. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to get the pump locked into place with the circular mount that fits around the cpu socket. After re-reading the instructions ad nauseam, and watching a how-to video by corsair of an H50 iteration that was clearly not the one I had, I decided to install it 'my way,' which is the way that made the most sense to me. And guess what!!!!

So, here's the RIGHT WAY to install the pump:

-Do not secure the top circular mounting bracket to the mobo before installing the pump.

-Instead, loosely secure the circular mounting bracket to the pump, then gently place the pump on the cpu and line up the thumb screws with their corresponding mounting holes.

-Engage the screws and give them a 1/4 turn, working in a diagonal pattern, until the pump is fully secured to the cpu.

-Done

Other Thoughts: If I would have known how loud the pump is before purchasing, then I would have either gone with a different model, or a different brand. I have a mini-ITX case, so space is a premium, which is why I chose to go with a closed-loop cooling system. Otherwise, I would have just used an aftermarket tower air cooler with fan. Speaking of which, the tower air cooler with fan on my previous build, which is in an ATX mid-tower, was quieter than this pump.

5 out of 5 eggsCool under heavy fire

Pros: Keeps cool under heavy load, very quiet beats high profile fans hands down for better airflow through the case.

Cons: Have to order AMD mounting kit. Comes standard with the H60 though.

Other Thoughts: Wish I would have bought one sooner

4 out of 5 eggsH50

Pros: Keep my i5-3570k a 25 @ idle :) using in a pull configuration

Cons: Corsair fan is loud, replaced them with bitfenix fans

The mounting bracket for the back of the motherboard was a pain to install ! took me about an hour to understand!!! the 1155 socket hole dosnt fit for the asrock z77 extreme3 , so i had to use differents hole to make it stand.

Other Thoughts: I dont know if i would buy again ... maybe next time i'll go for hyper 212+

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but a pain

Pros: Keeps my processor cool, looks pretty nice, nice packaging, feels like a good quality product.

Cons: 1. Rad did not fit against the rear exhaust of my Thermaltake V3 case, so I had to mount it with only two screws to the top of my case where it is slightly hanging, so... this maybe just a case con, but my case is a mid-tower, I shouldn't have this problem.

2. The backplate was a PAIN in the keister to install in a socket 1155.

3. The instructions are not clear at all, took me about 2 hours to get the thing installed from start to finish.

Other Thoughts: Oc'd to 4.0ghz 3570k i5 temps did not go above 64C with 5 min power test on Prime95 on an AsRockPro4. Will try to push it higher soon.

I'm a network/systems engineer and build computers everyday, putting this thing in took way too long, but that may be contingent on my case, but I have a normal size mid-tower Thermaltake V3, but could not mount it to the back exhaust... wwwwuuuuuut.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Cooler

Pros: It's Really quite !!!
Great for overclocking using an INTEL CORE I5 3470 CPU temps on idle are around 25c for the highs on under heavy loads 38c better then my AMD Temps run.

Cons: Pain in to install if your new to water coolers my biggest fear was thinking the lubes would pop out and water would leak all over my parts.

Other Thoughts: Good for the price if you want a quite cooler i recommend this one.
Be warned if your a first timer installing a water cooler its tricky but worth the hassle to install

4 out of 5 eggsGood Price/Performance

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool while being relatively quiet.

Cons: The instructions were horrible ^100! I recommend searching online and reading the more detailed instructions at the Corsair website. After fumbling with the install for over an hour I went online to discover that the backplate doesn't align straight (mounts crooked) when installed correctly. Also there are three sets of holes on each corner of the backplate and only one is the right one to use, they are labeled on the plastic so small you can't read it, and you use the holes labeled for a different socket number (can't remember which?) for the 1155 socket configuration.

Other Thoughts: Solid product, $#%@ instructions, good price/value when discounted.

5 out of 5 eggsNeat little cooler

Pros: Fairly discreet, self contained system. Great for a beginners water cooling system. Gave my system a 1.3 ghz overclock and it idles at 30C.

Cons: Poorly written instructions. I recommend watching a youtube video before installing, if this is your first time.

Other Thoughts: Great little cooler. Good for a first time watercooler.
