2 out of 5 eggsNot impressed.

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: Not a "bad" product but just a couple bucks more invest in a better cooler. For a liquid cooler this doesn't get you the temps you need to make the leap and risks of liquid cooling. Invest in a noctua or one of the higher end Corsair coolers for a bit more, don't expect much from this one.

Other Thoughts: Replaced this with a better performance cooler for a bit more, this cooler is pointless. If you overclock at all it's not going to get the job done and if you're not overclocking and just want a decent cooler, don't invest the money in this and get a decent quality air cooler.

4 out of 5 eggseasy set up not so easy with control

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: this is a great cooling unit works well with an intel processor even the 6700K supprisingly. never had too many issues with this product besides the fact that it did not want to be controlled for the first 3 months before I realised that I was stupid and used a 4 pin connector in a 3 pin slot.

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!! I added these to all my new gaming rigs!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: Easy to install! The fan is very quiet! Keeps my CPU's running nice and COOL!

Cons: No Cons

Other Thoughts: I would recommend these over the Cooler Master monstrosities any day. These look nice and neat in a gaming computer that has a window in the case.

5 out of 5 eggsOver a year and no issues

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: First off, I'm using this to cool an intel i7 4770 haswell that has not been overclocked. I have recently changed the fan I had on the cooler, but have always had just a single fan pulling air into the case, and pushing through the cooler.
-It works, plain and simple. My gpu will run all the way up to 80, 90 and my ambient case temp will climb into the high 50's, but my cpu maxes out around 35C.

Cons: -install was difficult, in the corsair carbide tower I could only attach it to the rear fan spot, and then the hose attachment overhangs into the first pci-e space of my mobo (asrock z97X) so it can't be used.
-the tubing is too short and really limiting

Other Thoughts: -If you have a narrow case so you can't fit a big air cooler, or you just want to cut down on noise, I recommend this.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent entry level AIO

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: * Easy installation
* Quiet Operation
* Awesome 5 year warranty!

Cons: * None

Other Thoughts: I recently purchased the H50 to pair with my NZXT G10 on my MSI Gaming GTX 980ti in an effort to better cool the overclocked GPU at reduced noise levels. With this in mind, I can say that the H50 succeeded!

Since my experience does not use the standard mounting procedure, I cannot comment on it. But hooking up to my 980ti using the G10 bracket was quick and easy. The base of the waterblock was nice and flat. Worth noting, I did remove the supplied thermal paste and used my own as I wanted to make sure I got proper coverage in the exposed GPU die.

The tubing of the H50 is pretty easy to move around. It is fairly thin diameter tubing, but since this is a small AIO cooling solution with just a 120mm radiator is likely is sufficient. I must note that I used this with a front mount and because of my other intake fans, the radiator was mounted sideways to allow clearance for my other fans.

Performance with the H50 is great. The provided fan is very quiet, even when rotating at near max speeds and the pump, while makes some slight noise, is not really noticeable. With my 980ti Overclocked to 1520Mhz @ 1.23v, I have yet to see temps exceed 57C with 100% GPU load over extended periods of time. This is 23C improvement compared to the stock cooler and at reduced noise levels.

Overall I am very happy with the H50 based on my usage. It is quiet, cools well and has a excellent 5 year warranty and was only $40 after rebate and promo code. Approved!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing...Unbelievable Amazing

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: Built an Intel I5 2500k Sandy Bridge system with this cooler from scratch. It was cheaper than the premium heat pipe air coolers at the time, at $60. Overclocked the system from 3.3Ghz to 3.7 GHz from new, though ramped up to 4.1 GHz later on. Still running overclocked after 5 years, running around 110 deg F during prolonged heavy loads. I have not touched it for 5 years. Are you kidding me!? Absolutely bulletproof! It is cheap, quiet, never leaks, and cools amazingly. Install is simple for someone with limited technical skill, and the build quality is impressive. Better yet, no annoying flashing lights! Heck yes.

Cons: It refuses to die, so I am still using a 5 year old gaming computer with new video cards. I wanted to feel the joy of a new system build, but this old one keeps running amazing thanks to this cooler. Now I am sad and being a real manly man, I know not what to do with these feelings?

Other Thoughts: Do you have a cpu cooler? Yes? Good.
Is it a corsair H50 (or better)? No? Whaaaat?
You are doing computers wrong.
Now karate kick a helicopter like a man and buy once of these.

4 out of 5 eggsActually an H55, but still does the job!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: - Fits LGA 1151 without a problem (though the back mounting is a bit tilted).
- Cools an i5-6500 like a champ.

Cons: - The instructions are still for the H50, which this is not. Google instructions for the H55 and you'll be good to go.
- Mounting screws are just a tad short, so I had to remove rubber grommets from my case to install.

Other Thoughts: Stock coolers are no fun, so I decided to try out an All-in-One liquid cooler on an i5-6500. As others have found, the cooler in this box is not actually an H50. It is an H55 with mountings only for Intel sockets. Corsair must have consolidated the models for convenience, but it would have been nice if they included the appropriate instructions. Minus an egg for that annoyance.

The included fan does provide decent airflow, but it was the loudest in my case, as to be expected for a radiator fan with higher static pressure. I'm not doing any serious overclocking, so I replaced it with a pair of AF120s in a push-pull setup. Quieter and temps are slightly down!

4 out of 5 eggsYes it fits LGA1150

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: Keeps your cpu cool and runs quiet as it is supposed to. Not much else to say.

Cons: Instructions are pretty weak. Going to their web site doesn't help because they have a video up of a 7 year old model which is probably about how old the printed instructions are. Mine came with round piece with clips I am still trying to figure out what the heck it's for because there is no mention of it on the instructions or on the web site.

So this edit is after further looking. Didn't even realize this is the H55 minus the AMD mounting hardware. Found a video for that and questions answered. Product still should have come with proper instruction and Corsair should update their website. Just need to google H55 installation instructions and all is good.

Other Thoughts: It DOES fit LGA1150. You just use the LGA1156 designated mounting holes on the bracket. This may be even more confusing for people who don't actually look at the print on the bracket. They're not uniform. One hole is outside bottom, one is inside top, one is outside top and one is inside bottom. Be patient and do a little homework. It fits!
There is just something about a leaking water cooler in the back of my head. A fear that one day it will start to leak and ruin hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of components. That possible failure along with the fact that the fan could fail and the pump could fail adds to my mental debate of whether or not it's really worth it. IF a big old heat sink like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO has a fan fail, it's still going to cool the cpu enough to probably avoid damage due to the distribution of heat and other fans in the system.
Also, with this in mind, it doesn't actually cool any better than my CM Hyper 212 EVO. In fact, I can get a couple of degrees cooler with the EVO when under load. Temps seem about the same when idle or light use.
I'm giving this 4 eggs just because it doesn't really cool any better than a quality HSF and because of the above mentioned inherent risks of water cooling as well as the pathetic instructions.

5 out of 5 eggsPhenomenal Durability!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: I purchased this product a couple of months after it debuted. I am on my 3rd different cpu(due to upgrades, not failure) and it's been currently keeping my i7 2600 at 29C idle and 54C at full load under stress testing. I found it a breeze to install, but maybe perhaps because I have an antec case designed for water cooling.

Cons: No Cons as far as I'm considered.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this product to anyone that wants very efficient, durable cooling!

This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 120mm Quiet Edition Liquid CPU Cooler - Intel Only

Pros: -Low cost
-Amazing performance

Cons: -difficult to install

Other Thoughts: This liquid cooler lowered my idle temps on my 4970k by 10C and the load temps by 30C. I highly recommend this purchase because it is low cost and works extremely well.
