The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is a fantastic choice for CPU cooling. With a new micro-channel cold plate and a split-flow designed manifold, the H60 brings remarkable new technologies to an affordable price point. If that weren’t enough, the H60 also features an all-new fan, custom designed to offer enhanced static pressure, which means better cooling.

  • newegg Cooler The Corsair Hydro Series H60 features a new split-flow manifold that delivers coolant directly to the center of the cold plate — the warmest area of the CPU — to significantly improve cooling efficiency. A redesigned micro-channel cold plate with a new fin design dramatically increases the surface area of copper available for heat absorption. Finally, a custom-designed 120mm fan with very high static pressure allows for more cold air to be drawn through the radiator to vent heat from the cooling liquid.
  • newegg Quieter You don’t have to sacrifice performance to build a quiet system. The Hydro Series coolers feature innovative, cutting-edge designs that utilize the superior thermal conductivity of liquid over air to provide fantastic cooling at much lower noise levels. In fact, the H60 is similar in noise levels to a 120mm case fan you probably already have.
  • newegg Easy to Install Almost any case with a rear 120mm fan mount location can house the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. As for compatibility, AMD sockets AM2 and AM3 are covered, and without having to install a custom backplate, making the H60 a great choice for any modern AMD CPU up to the Phenom six-core processors. And when it comes to Intel CPUs, the H60 supports Socket LGA 775, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, and even the brand new Core i5 and Core i7 2x00 series in LGA 1155, right out of the box.

Cooler - The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is a fantastic choice for cooling. With a new micro-channel cold plate and a split-flow designed manifold, the H60 brings remarkable new technologies to an affordable price point. If that weren't enough, the H60 also features an all-new fan, custom designed to offer enhanced static pressure, which means better cooling.

Quieter - You don't have to sacrifice performance to build a quiet system. Most high-performance coolers use crude, outdated designs that rely on two techniques: put a huge hunk of metal in your case or crank the fan to obnoxiously loud noise levels. The Hydro Series coolers feature innovative, cutting-edge designs that utilize the superior thermal conductivity of liquid over air to provide fantastic cooling at much lower noise levels. In fact, the H60 is similar in noise levels to a 120mm case fan you probably already have.

Easy to Install - Almost any case with a rear 120mm fan mount location can house the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. And don't worry about compatibility with your CPU, we've got you covered. AMD sockets AM2 and AM3 are covered, and without having to install a custom backplate, making the H60 a great choice for any modern AMD CPU up to the new Phenom six-core processors. And when it comes to Intel, don't worry about it. Whether you've got Socket LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366 or LGA2011, we've got compatibility inside the box. That's right, even the brand new Core i5 and Core i7 2x00 series processors are supported, right out of the box.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy mod to 939

Pros: Easily Modified to mount on 939 board, just use the AMD brackets and drill extra holes. Brackets are steel, so a simple dremmel wont do the job.
Super Quiet and good cooling performance - I only have the one 120mm fan in my case now, and I've achieve a 2.75GHz overclock on my Opteron 170.
Small and easy install

Cons: Doesn't have the size or capability of the larger coolers, has to be modified to add a GPU cooling loop

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Entry Level Closed Loop cooler

Pros: Small foot print, Decent temps - i5-3570k at 4.4Ghz, Stock fan in pull config (ambient temps at 25C) load around 60C, idle around 29C.

Easy to set up. Good design. Zero problems.

Cons: Every now and then the pump makes a slight humming noise. tubing is cheap and not very flexible. No option to expand.

Other Thoughts: With the raidiator being only 27mm thick, there is little capacity and you can only do so much OC'ing before you heatsoak and it stops cooling. But for an entry level cooling or as a silent option to the stock fans, this thing is GREAT.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed after 2 years

Pros: very quiet and doesn't take up a huge amount of space.

Cons: This cooler died on me after 19 months of service. Computer was just fine then all of a sudden it just shut off. I tried restarting a few times but no luck. I thought the power supply had gone bad. Opened the case and restarted it again. The MB fault LED's indicated the CPU was overheating and touched the waterblock. It was very hot. Took this out and put in a tried and true standard Heatsink and fan and no more overheating for now.

Other Thoughts: Even though I liked the idea of liquid cooling, I believe either the coolant finally evaporated or the pump gave out. By going back to a standard heat-sink & fan combo the only thing I have to worry about is a $4 fan rather than having to replace an $80 cooling system. An honestly, I've never had a fan go bad for as long as I've been building systems which is a very long time.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Surprisingly quiet, my casefans are all silent even at 100% putting this in didn't increase the level at all. This cooler is amazing, i haven't yet set up the cooler in a push pull setting currently i'm just using the fan that comes with it in a pull set up, my I5-2500k overclocked from 3.30 to 4.7ghz running prime 95 would not get over 60c. My old Cooler the artic freezer pro 13 would put me in the 70's without even overclocking. This was definitely worth the money. Going to be setting it up in a push pull set up here soon. Not only is my CPU cooler but because my CPU isn't fireball my mobo is cold as ice. I run at around 19-25C at no load, this is more due to my case set up, I do not have a mid tower case, my case is much smaller than a mid tower, air flow conditions are not the best i must say, i make do.

Cons: I haven't found any yet, i ran it at a stress test for a few hours and the temperatures didn't even fluctuate, this is a good cooler.

Other Thoughts: If your case is a mid tower or larger and you're airflow through the case is superb you will definitely love this. My case sucks and I'm still able to drop my temps ridiculously.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooling for what you are paying for.

Pros: Sleek design, thinner rad (great for smaller case applications)
Push pull design. Quiet stock fan that it comes with. Install was a breeze. Water block looks great with a cutout on the side of the case! Hoses feel pretty buff and i dont feel like im going to break them any time soon.

Cons: You may have a problem installing as a top mount like i have on a Coolermaster Scout 2 case. was not enough room to clear CPU 8 pin power connector on a ASUS sabertooth 9900FX MOBO. Also side mount may be a problem with the tubes being a bit short and stiff, but i have never tried it.

Other Thoughts: Idles at 16c with push pull setup. Never gets too loud. Runs great IMO. I love this cooler.

5 out of 5 eggscan i say wow?

Pros: Quiet Quiet Quiet Installs very easy on an am3+ mb bought on sale for 59.99 here.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Never used liquid cooling before. This cooler paired with my Storm Scout 2 advanced, bought here at the same time. Keeps my FX 9350@4500mhz 16c at idle, and when playing a game like BF3, 39c max. On my old aftermarket heatsink it would get above 50c while gaming. With this, never above 54c in prime95. during stability testing. Did I say WOW.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU Cooler

Pros: The H60 works for my needs. I built a home server with quietness, efficiency, performance in mind. I know a HyperThreaded Core i3 at stock speeds wasn't going to need that much to keep it cool, and I really wanted to try out a watercooling system so I figured it would fit the bill. I currently have it using the single stock fan on the radiator which as it turns out was more than enough.

This H60 makes the i3 run super cool. If I max it out and put my hand behind the radiator fan you would think it was air from an air conditioner. An i3 isn't even enough to get the water in the radiator too hot. Keeps my system temps low, which adds life to the hardware and keeps it running smooth.

Cons: None that I came across. Still doing well 5 months in.

Other Thoughts: Install was very simple, Good build quality, No leaks, Corsair is really doing a good job with these, I think I might get a bigger one if I decide to build another midrange, highend or gaming PC

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 4 days

Pros: I love Corsair Hydro CPU Coolers. I have done many builds using this cooler. Great for OC and its quiet. I never had an issue with the these coolers until this one.

Cons: For whatever reason, the unit that was shipped to me only lasted 4 days and wham, CPU Temps at 80C!. RPM on the Pump Drop to 0. Even tried running direct off the PSU, but no go.

Other Thoughts: Gave it this one 3 stars because this is rare for Corsair to shipped out defective stuff. Hopefully the upgraded model works better.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than air

Pros: I am running this on a AMD FX 8320 CPU 3.5ghz CPU overclocked to 4.1ghz. My idle temp is at 13C and my highest temp so far has been 47C. Normal at load temps are at about 43ish though. Despite what other people are saying the fan is quite. You just have to make sure you set it up proper in your BIOS. When under load it can get a little noisy, but no where near the noise of a stock setup.

Also if you do your research the thermal compound is actually some high end stuff. No need to scrape it off.

Cons: Tiny bit of pump noise, but I was able to remedy that in my BIOS. I'm running this on an ASRock 990fx extreme 3 and I'm able to change my fan speeds from 1 to 10, with 10 being the fastest and the loudest. I plugged my pump into a controlled plug and dumped it down to 8, and it went silent. It still moves plenty of heat off the CPU as I'm overclocked and it still runs cooler than my stock cooler at stock clocked speeds, yet I'm 600Mhz over clocked.

Other Thoughts: I actually bought this off of Craigslist from a guy that was making a build and gave up. He never even seated the thing so it still had the original paste on it. I got lucky and only paid $40 for it, but I can easily recommend it at its full price. It's keeping my CPU cooler at load and overclocked than my stock cooler did at idle at stock speeds. You just have to be smart enough to make sure you don't plug the water pump into the CPU plug on your motherboard. Leave that plug for the actual radiator fan.
