The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is a fantastic choice for CPU cooling. With a new micro-channel cold plate and a split-flow designed manifold, the H60 brings remarkable new technologies to an affordable price point. If that weren’t enough, the H60 also features an all-new fan, custom designed to offer enhanced static pressure, which means better cooling.

  • newegg Cooler The Corsair Hydro Series H60 features a new split-flow manifold that delivers coolant directly to the center of the cold plate — the warmest area of the CPU — to significantly improve cooling efficiency. A redesigned micro-channel cold plate with a new fin design dramatically increases the surface area of copper available for heat absorption. Finally, a custom-designed 120mm fan with very high static pressure allows for more cold air to be drawn through the radiator to vent heat from the cooling liquid.
  • newegg Quieter You don’t have to sacrifice performance to build a quiet system. The Hydro Series coolers feature innovative, cutting-edge designs that utilize the superior thermal conductivity of liquid over air to provide fantastic cooling at much lower noise levels. In fact, the H60 is similar in noise levels to a 120mm case fan you probably already have.
  • newegg Easy to Install Almost any case with a rear 120mm fan mount location can house the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. As for compatibility, AMD sockets AM2 and AM3 are covered, and without having to install a custom backplate, making the H60 a great choice for any modern AMD CPU up to the Phenom six-core processors. And when it comes to Intel CPUs, the H60 supports Socket LGA 775, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, and even the brand new Core i5 and Core i7 2x00 series in LGA 1155, right out of the box.

5 out of 5 eggs4+ years of cooling

Pros: Quiet, keeps my AMD 8350 cool. Idle temps around 9 -19 degrees C using another 120mm fan in pull/push config (CPU temp only)

Cons: None unless you aren't careful and dent your radiator fins or do not know how to properly clean the dust out.

Other Thoughts: Recommend this product, newer version or upgraded models.
Before using 2 fans, my temps were still pretty good. My case didn't produce too much heat or did the processor IMO. I used the PC almost as a NAS, dvd/blu-ray backups, and converting videos into smaller files for Apple devices.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler! I love the h60!

Pros: - Awesome cooler, fits right on an MSi z68ma-g45 motherboard.
- Temperatures are great, my i5 2500k's idle would be 27C and Load wouldn't go higher than 48C at stock settings.
- fits in a Rosewill Smart One case very nicely.
- nice rugged tubes (see cons) they shouldn't leak.
- Gives a highly nice potential to do plenty of overclocking.
-relatively silent (see cons)

Cons: - Instructions could be better.
- not really as silent as advertised, but it is acceptable. - - The Nice rugged tubes as other's have said are stiff, it is true.
- lacks 2nd pairs of screws to add a push/pull fan.
- it MAY not fit in some computer cases, make sure you measure around where you will install the radiator, or else it may not fit at all.

Other Thoughts: I've said that this fits nicely in a rosewill smart one tower, it does, however though, just barely fits in there, at least the tubes aren't in the way of the fans. Good OC potential because I just overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.1 GHz, idle temps are about 35C and load hasn't gone higher than 55C, not bad for 4.1 GHz clockspeed. I would also recommend this in a push/pull configuration, to get the most OC potential. All in all, get one, it is great!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but died after three years

Pros: Easy to install and extremely quiet. Much better than a giant heat sink flexing the motherboard.

Cons: Died at about the three year mark. Processor started running hotter for a couple of weeks (near 85C) indicating impairment. Finally died completely and the PC would not boot at all due to overheat protection kicking in. Replaced with another brand that had on hand the the processor temp dropped back to 28C, which is about where this one started out at three years ago. Pump does not use PWM connector so it will run at a constant speed. Other coolers of this style do have a PWM control on the pump.

Other Thoughts: Will try to do a warranty return on this as coolers are covered for five year. Hope for the best.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Works!

Pros: Works awesomely! I've had it to years and though before I got it I was worried it might leak somehow, It's been the best cooling device I've ever had.

Cons: Only that it takes up space/vents you might have wanted to use for a more comprehensive cooling system, but nothing else.

3 out of 5 eggsNice cooler, when it works

Pros: Keeps the system cool.

Cons: Installation requires motherboard removal. After using this product for 8 months the cooler died (low RPM on pump) and I RMA'd the device. Received another one promptly through the vender. Second one died within 4 months.

Other Thoughts: I was very curious about water cooling systems and was quite happy when I initial bought this product. After owning one for some time, and having the issue with the cooler dying twice in just over a year, I have decided to go back to an after market heatsink cooler. Considering how easily this could have caused my motherboard/CPU to be damaged to accessive heat, I would suggest other avenues.

3 out of 5 eggsworked good for a year

Pros: worked good for a little over a year.

Cons: the pump now makes some really nasty noises and my processor starts to overheat after being on for awhile. i didnt notice until my computer randomly shut down a couple times. then i noticed the processor would overheat after having the computer on for about an hour. now the liquid pump makes a clicking and annoying noise. i'm going to back to an air cooler for stability issues. i dont like building a computer and having to go back and replace parts and run the risk of overheating or hurting other parts.

Other Thoughts: wont buy a premade liquid cooer again. the risk is too high and the products dont last long enough to be worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsNoisy, unreliable

Pros: Good cooling, small form factor, easy install with excellent mounting brackets. Good quality fan. 5 year warranty

Cons: Noisy pump. After 12 months the unit started to intermittently fail. The computer would crash every second week. The cause turned out to be that CPU cooling temporarily failed and the CPU got into thermal shutdown which apparently causes Windows Vista to hang...

Other Thoughts: This was my first and last attempt with watercooling. When purchasing this, I did not realize that the pump adds another noise factor. Of course it should be obvious: in order to build a silent computer the number of moving parts should be kept to a minimum. I recently got a Silverstone Heligon H2 for my latest Haswell build and I love it!

Maybe Corsair fixed the noisy pump issue in the current V2 model...
