3 out of 5 eggsinstall problems

Pros: it works and looks good.

Cons: had same problem as mentioned before about the rubber corners twisting when trying to install not the greatest design. had to remove the corners flip them around and try again. pre threaded the this time.
still had some twisting at the end just backed off a bit and done

2 out of 5 eggsIssue with grommets

Pros: Look amazing

Cons: The grommets twisted and one completely broke out. I believe had I prescrewed the screws into the fan before mounting might have been able to avoid this issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value.

Pros: -> The red loop is interchangeable with a blue or white one, for people with a colour theme.
-> Seems to work as desired.

Cons: -> I get a slight noise from the vibrations when the fan is cranked to max. When set to approximately 80% it's dead silent. I can live with that.

Other Thoughts: -> Seeing a consistent problem amongst the comments about the rubber in the fans, and the screws. Can't say I've had the problem myself.

1 out of 5 eggsInstallation & Rubber Silencing Grommet Woes

Pros: The fan itself seems fine.

Cons: The rubber grommets at the four corners of the fan that house the self-tapping installation screws will twist and tear during install/removal, even with the utmost care and patience.

Bought two of these. Both exhibit the same problem.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointing, especially when compared to my other Corsair experiences.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very quiet operation even at full speed, Corsair Quality, nice touch with with the colored accent rings which are easy to switch out.

Cons: Installation..."self tapping" screws are not that great. had to drop an egg for it unfortunately.

Other Thoughts: If you get this fan a helpful word of advice: put a little dish soap...yes dish soap, on the rubber part where the screw is going to be, and preinstall screws on a table. as i was trying to install this in the case the rubber sound dampener where the screw sits would "roll" and was a very big pain to install until i removed fan and did as mentioned above method.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looks neat, plenty of cable length for reaching a far away connection

Cons: Rattles, The rubber inserts that you drive the screw into torqued out on one of mine and ripped out, didn't last long at all

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately I may be one in a million with these fans, and I understand that not every single product will have a defect in it, but the two 140mm fans I received each had problems. After installing each, one of the rubber inserts in the corner of the fan in which you drive the screw through to lock it into your case torqued out as I was driving the screw in with the screw driver. The rubber completely ripped out of place so that screw was basically useless at that point. Thankfully the other three held the fan in place perfectly and it surprisingly doesn't make any sound. However, the second fan that I installed went in without a hiccup. However, now that I've had them in for about two-three months (at the time this review was written) the fan that installed without trouble now rattles extremely loudly and it's so annoying that I can not use my computer without playing music to drown out the sound. I know it's a faulty fan because when I take my side plate off of my case and barely press my finger to the bottom of the fan as it spins, the rattle sound goes away. As soon as I let go and the fan spools back up to it's full idle speed, it rattles again right away.

5 out of 5 eggsThey're what's expected!

Pros: You get Corsair quality with these fans and the ability to change the color of the fan (I mainly bought these to add accent colors). They perform and do so quietly as advertised. Better than stock case fans. What else do you need?

Cons: The only con would be don't tighten the screws too much. It should be an obvious but I know some people think the tighter the better.. well in this case the fans would snap when over tightened .

4 out of 5 eggsLOOKS GREAT!!!

Pros: These fans are awesome and they move a good amount of air. I added these plus 2-sp120 and 2-af140 and my temps have droped 5-7 degrees c.

Cons: The rubber in the middle is horrible, i read review before i purchased them and saw people complaing about this. I get the idea to reduce vibration but one of the corners ripped on one of mine. It was impossible to get the screw out. The only way i got these to tighten down was because i have a Corsair 450 case which has rubber gromits on top for the case fans. If i didnt have those i'm not sure what i would of done. They're great fans but Corsair need to figure something out with this. Once the fan is in good luck getting them out. I hope Corsair can send me a new rubber corner

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolute Silence

Pros: very quiet, lots of airflow -- I got this as an internal fan to keep MB and memory cool. Occasionally I open the case to make sure it's still running because I can't hear it.

Cons: odd size (not really a con, but if you are buying this as a case exhaust fan ensure your system uses the larger fan size of 140mm)
