4 out of 5 eggsLow temps!

Pros: I purchased the H100i for my 4770K and it is an excellent cooler. Installation was easy, and my temps are super low. Using the stock cooler at stock clock rates, 81 C. With the H100i and overclocked to 4.4 GHZ, 68 C. You can't go wrong.

Cons: When I first installed the cooler, my temps weren't as low as I had hoped. A few google searches suggested that adding non-metal washers between the back plate screw wells and motherboard would help with the spacing and yield better temps. I purchased some at my local hardware store and after installing them my temps dropped 10 C. I am now very satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsNot disappointed.

Pros: Can't speak for AMD but this was a breeze to install with my Intel 4790K. Build quality is high and I have little concern over leaks or failure. Keeps my CPU nice and chilly under heavy load. The corsair emblem has RGB lighting support through Corsair Link.

Cons: The included fans aren't loud but aren't exactly quiet either. I'm sure you could achieve better performance and less noise by swapping them out with some Noctuas.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair H100i liquid CPU cooler

Pros: Easy to install, fans are relatively quiet. Installed on my 8350 8 core Vishera, have not done any over clocking, but CPU temperature stays around 25-32c. Love the way the little Corsair lights up on the heat sink. :-)

Cons: Not free.

Other Thoughts: I just built this box with a V71 Corsair case. When case is together there is a little bit of residual noise from the metal. May install tiny rubber grommets under the screws for the fan and see if it gets even quieter.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as it should. Keeps the CPU temps low (according to corsair link). Super easy installation.

Cons: The biggest let down for me is how loud the included fans are. Don't get me wrong they work perfectly, however the volume leaves something to be desired. If you are looking at this consider ordering another set of fans.

Other Thoughts: 4 eggs because I got it on sale and did the rebate, so I can't knock it lower because I got a good price for it :)

5 out of 5 eggsFirst water cooler, great thus far

Pros: Easy installation. The hose is a bit stiff but during install I simply mounted the cooler on the cpu first. Then I mounted the radiator. I had the fans already on it ready to go and a few screws later it was all in place. After that it was just a matter of running a few cords.

Cons: I'm listing these in cons so you will read but these aren't points against the product.

A few things I wish I knew going in.

1. There are caps on the Y connector to protect the wires.
This makes the connector look exactly like the female connectors coming from the fans. This was incredibly confusing and made me have to look it up and finally saw other people have the same issue. Removed the protective caps, it fit just fine, felt slightly stupid after.

2. This product comes with thermal paste pre-applied.
I was putting this rig together late at night trying to get it ready cause I was literally taking it to a lan several hours away the next day. I wasn't paying attention and did not realize it had thermal paste on it and I applied my own as well. I ended up getting a double dose when I really could have just not applied any and been better off. I'm at 35c idle now. Will have to go back in soon and remove all paste and reapply so I can get my idle temp down to about 29 or 30. Again felt stupid after.

Other Thoughts: Just pay a little bit more attention that I did and you will be fine. For this having been my first water cooler though it was a piece of cake to install once I got past my own stupidity. I'd recommend for anyone wanting to water cool but not wanting to go though the hassle of some crazy custom cooler. I prefer plug and play and this fit the bill nicely.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing... but there's one way to make it better.

Pros: *Water cooler
*Relatively flexible tubes
*Worth the money in a hot climate
*Required for any sort of overclocking in a hot climate.
*Easy set-up that can be done without a manual, but still read the manual

Cons: *Stiff tubing from out of box.
*Tubing isn't quite long enough in some cases

Other Thoughts: I couldn't quite come up with many cons. The cooler is very effective. My stock cooler for the 8320 kept me around 40c, the water cooler dropped me from 40c (What it usually gets in Arizona) down to... at it's lowest point 16c (Midnight in the winter in Arizona, window fully open.) I average the 23-27c mark. I just wish the H100I came with a cut out in the top, above the radiator, that held a dust filter that I could pull out and clean.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst cooler ever

Pros: Looks good, with RGB LED thats buggy as ****

Cons: Heat spreader too thin.
Coolant cheap and too acidic leading to corrosion and eventual failure.
Rattles badly when beginning to fail (2 seperate coolers failed in exactly the same way after 3 and 6 months)
Coolant corrodes heatspreader lower performance. Contaminiated coolant lowers performance further still.
Back of the the heatspreader covered for the most part by rubber flow control.
Impeller becomes loose due to, yes you've guessed it... more corrosion leading to the tell tale "death rattle"
On both coolers I have there is evidence of corrosion outside of the rubber seal, indication of a leak. Air in the sealed unit

Other Thoughts: I am writing this review after having 2 of these coolers now for nearly a year. Most of the fanboy reviews 4 stars + are by users who have been using their coolers forless than a month.
Bought 2 of these from another reliable vendor.
The first cooler failed after about 3 months, it was RMA'd back to Corsair. Prior to sending it back it was examined, there apeared to be corrosion around the copper waterblock (which is not really a water block, more on this in a minute). The second cooler failed in exactly the same way. Again more corrosion. This time, thouroghly fed up with Corsairs terrible support I dismantled the entire cooler. I found extensive corrosion to the back of the copper "water block" I pulled appart the stupidly designed pump to find more corrosion to the internal surface of the impeller around the spindle. The was the cause of the rattle that is the sound of failure, the only way to repair this cooler is by replacing the pump unit as the spindle is damaged by the corroding impeller too. The cause of failure.... cheap coolant that was acidic. Certainly was not coolant that was designed for this kind of use. The seal around the "water blocks" copper contact surface is very bad too, this allowed for a small quantity of coolant to make its way out and air to make its way in, further compounding the failure.
The way the thermal sensor makes contact with the copper is very poor, leading to inaccurate thermal readings and control.
The "water block" is laughable, its a thin 2mm peice of copper plate, on its back is a rubber material obviously desinged to flow control the coolant. This rubber covers most of the copper and so prevents thermal transfer heat from the copper to the coolant. The corrosion mentioned earlier obviously corrodes the exposed area of copper and so furhter reduces the performance of the system.

Its a pooly designed, badly made peice of garbage. The designers of which have/had no clue on materials science or even rudimentary chemistry to understand how their materials would be affected by the coolant they choose. I can't speak for their newer models, but needless to say I have completly lost faith in Corsair products.
Their replies to all of these complaints:
"You can return the item, once its received and the fault is validated we will send you a replacement free of charge."
I said:
"So I have to have my system out of action for 2 weeks becuase of your terrible product"
Their reply:
"You can avail of our swift replacement option, you provide us your credit card details and we send a replacement, your card will not be charged if we receive the product back"
Thats all well and good I suppose, but every time I tried to arrange to have my product replaced in this was I was told "That Item is not in stock".

4 out of 5 eggsOne size fits all comes with a cost

Pros: -This product is one of the top rated CPU coolers on the market – it cut my CPU temps in half

-Liquid cooled setup with minimal installation problems – see cons

-Software (Corsair Link) has a graphical display where you can control LEDs, arrange different computer components, such as GPUs, CPUs, HDs, and fans around a case and read their temperatures in real time. Software also has a widget that can be displayed on the Windows desktop.

Cons: -The ‘one size fits all’ mounting brackets became a bit of a nightmare for me during installation. I adjusted the screw threadings in the mounting bracket to fit the back of my ATX motherboard. However, when I used the provided screw-adapters to tighten the mounting bracket to the motherboard, I noticed there was about 1-2mm of ‘wiggle-room’ between the bracket and the motherboard. This meant that the CPU and water block would also have about 1-2mm of wiggle room which was completely unacceptable because the water block would effectively not be touching the CPU. After searching online, I found that people had a similar problem and remedied it by using washers or o-rings to fill the wiggle room between the motherboard and the mounting bracket. I ended up using 2 rubber o-rings (from a previous keyboard mod) per each of the 4 mounting holes (8 o-rings total) to create a tight seal between the mounting bracket, motherboard, and screw-adapters.

-Several days after I ordered this product, Newegg updated this product's page to show that the H100i GTX is a newer, improved, version. I guess I didn't do my due diligence in research :(

Other Thoughts: -The motherboard that I installed this CPU cooler on is an ASUS Z77 Sabertooth, the case is a Corsair 650D, and the memory is Corsair Vengeance 2x 8 GB

-My rig has an i7-3770k which was idling ~60-70C with the stock Intel cooler. It reached temperatures of over 90C running benchmarking utilities such as prime95. The temperatures above 80C made me seek out an after-market cooler. I didn’t like the idea of a 2-3 lbs. air cooler hanging off the motherboard PCB, so I went with a water cooler with a radiator.

-After installing the H100i, the i7-3770k idles at ~30-50C and reaches a maximum temperature of ~65C during benchmarks.

-I used the thermal paste that came with this product
