The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is a fantastic choice for CPU cooling. With a new micro-channel cold plate and a split-flow designed manifold, the H60 brings remarkable new technologies to an affordable price point. If that weren’t enough, the H60 also features an all-new fan, custom designed to offer enhanced static pressure, which means better cooling.

  • newegg COOLER The Corsair Hydro Series H60 features a new split-flow manifold that delivers coolant directly to the center of the cold plate — the warmest area of the CPU — to significantly improve cooling efficiency. A redesigned micro-channel cold plate with a new fin design dramatically increases the surface area of copper available for heat absorption. Finally, a custom-designed 120mm fan with very high static pressure allows for more cold air to be drawn through the radiator to vent heat from the cooling liquid.
  • newegg QUIETER You don’t have to sacrifice performance to build a quiet system. The Hydro Series coolers feature innovative, cutting-edge designs that utilize the superior thermal conductivity of liquid over air to provide fantastic cooling at much lower noise levels. In fact, the H60 is similar in noise levels to a 120mm case fan you probably already have.
  • newegg EASY TO INSTALL Almost any case with a rear 120mm fan mount location can house the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. As for compatibility, AMD sockets AM2 and AM3 are covered, and without having to install a custom backplate, making the H60 a great choice for any modern AMD CPU up to the Phenom six-core processors. And when it comes to Intel CPUs, the H60 supports Socket LGA 775, LGA 1156, LGA 1366, and even the brand-new Core i5 and Core i7 2x00 series in LGA 1155, right out of the box.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent cooling on 3570k, even OC'd

Pros: Price!
Ease of install, I have a HAF 912 and installing this to pull in the back was a breeze. I recommend a pull-in-to-case fan direction to get the coldest air onto your CPU, especially if you intend to overclock a 75watt CPU.
very low idle and gaming temps! I've been using this for months, and I've never seen my CPU anywhere near my GPU temps, usually below 40C. If your CPU is getting above 40C without watercooling, I recommend pulling your fan, cleaning off your old thermal paste, and applying new paste before you order anything. If you still have higher than 45C temps at easy load, get one of these to increase the life/performance of your device.

Cons: No problems for one year!

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind this is the low end of the spectrum for watercoolers, but it is still a huge upgrade from stock cpu coolers. I believe skylake CPUs don't come with a cooler anyway, which really is for the best on their -k variants.

Also keep in mind if you're overclocking, the thermal dissipation value in watts will increase a lot faster than your cpu speed will increase, so a 10% cpu speed increase will likely correlate to more than 10% thermal output.

I recommend this CPU cooler if you have an fan slot on the back of your case and a top fan to pull that air back out from any i5 or i7 cpu that its compatible with (1155, 1150, whichever it works with).

5 out of 5 eggsRefurbished but running like new.

Pros: Working perfectly. No leaks and keeps my cpu at 32 degrees Celsius. Fan is awesome and quiet. Running a Intel quad core i5 2200 lga 1155 in a Kendomen Deepcool case with 5 fans including the corsair H60 fan. Nice and icey.

Cons: None. I usually don't buy refurbished stuff but this turned out very well.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than air for only a few dollars more.

Pros: I bought this for my very first liquid cooled build. I figured, for the price... I couldn't go wrong. It was easy to install on my EVGA Z97 FTW (socket 1150) motherboard. It keeps my i7-4790k as cool if not cooler than a heat sink/fan combo.

Cons: The only issue I had with this unit was when screwing the long screws through the case and fan into the radiator, the threads in one of the holes stripped out on me. The other 3 are holding pretty well though. I don't want to take it out and send it back because then I would be without a CPU cooler for a week or 2. I will just get a slightly bigger screw and re-thread the hole.

Other Thoughts: With the cooler installed and the pump 3 pin wire connected to the CPU_fan leads, I turned the fan controller in the BIOS to max and she runs at 35c at idle and under full load with Prime95 it gets up to 85c. I also cleaned the pre-applied thermal paste off before install and put a dab of my Arctic MX-4 on it instead. You may want to pick up a high static pressure case fan and set up a push/pull configuration with the radiator too, it will help keep a lower temp at all times.

All in all, I would say this is a great starting point for anyone looking to get into a liquid cooled system.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Cooling

Pros: Size, Price, ease of installation.

This is a great budget cooling system, paired with my i5 4670k in a mid size tower, the fit is very nice and I've plenty of room to spare. Great build, also for those concerned the refurbs of this have new thermal paste applied already, you dont need to purchase a separate tube of it to apply yourself.

Cons: Still a bit pricey, would like to see the refurb prices go down a bit.

5 out of 5 eggsFunky but effective .....

Pros: Dropped temperature 30 degrees (F).
Refurbished but came in perfect full retail box with one little sticker saying refurbished on it near UPC. Like new.

Cons: Bad manual. You have to look at the cooler to figure out how to mount the thing. Mounts on back of MB must be placed in certain direction and the prongs that go in the mb holes must be slid. None explained in the manual.

Other Thoughts: Cooler was a good deal and I saved enough to justify the aggravation of having to figure out how to mount the thing past the manuals. Allowed me to overclock my ASRock Z87 Fatality MB another 10% plus keeping the CPU 20 degrees cooler with the increased overclock. I did not use the case fan that came with the cooler, stuc wth my Antec fan - my Antec fan seemed to be a better quality fan. If you are an OC enthusiast you will want a better case fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Quiet...really quiet. I caught it on sale as a refurbished item. I am glad I did. I purchased it for the cost of a good heatsink/fan combo. Maxed out my temp at 48c. I had to run Malwarebytes, my antivirus and play Hawken all at the same time to do that.

Cons: None. It works as advertised, better than I expected.

Other Thoughts: Installed in a Silverstone HTPC case. I had to order a fan adapter plate so that I can attach it to the case without any serious mods. Not a big deal, I have plenty of shelf space.

Gigibyte mobo, 2 AMD R7 240s in crossfire, 3.8ghz AMD quad core, 256gig SSD, 1tb of mass storage. GREAT HTPC. Well above average for gaming also.

5 out of 5 eggsDont believe negative reviews

Pros: Works Great, upgraded from a hyper 212 plus since I got this refurb on sale for the great price of 29.99.

- Idle temps on the hyper 212 plus with my fx6300 at 4.4ghz were 22-38C and prime95 would get it up to 64C

- Idle temps with the H60 on the same 4.4ghz overclock were 12-23C and prime 95 only got it up to 51C

So the reviews of people who say the H60 gives them high temps, or that the hyper 212 is better, clearly did something wrong during installation.

Less Heat!! - the hyper 212 may have done a decent job cooling the cpu, but it would heat up my case like a sauna. Having the H60 radiator vent directly out of the case keeps my case, and gpu much cooler as well.

Was also very easy to install for AMD so I am not sure why there are all these reviews saying it was confusing. It uses the reference amd backplate and standoffs so all you have to do is tighten the water block down. Was a pain for me since I was switching over from the Hyper 212. I had to remove the hyper 212 backplate and standoffs and replace them with the stock amd ones (luckily I still had them laying around.)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: -I used arctic silver instead of the pre-applied thermal compound.
-Also added another fan for a push/pull configuration

-Comes with brackets for intel processors pre installed on the waterblock. So for AMD installs you have to remove the intel brackets from the waterblock and install the AMD brackets. (one of the pump hoses get in the way of one of the bracket screws, and frustrated me for a total of 3 minutes. Not a big deal.)
