3 out of 5 eggsReturned

Pros: Excellent airflow and PWM control ability.

Cons: One of the two fans in the package developed a churning, ticking kind of bearing noise almost immediately. Returned to Newegg as defective without issue. Replaced with Noctua.

Other Thoughts: Half the price of Noctua, but, only half the fans in the package worked so...

1 out of 5 eggsLook good but make grinding/"grrr" noise

Pros: -Deliver high volume of air
-look great

Cons: -When mounted vertical the fan make grinding/"grrr" noise. When the fan are mounted horizontal the fan doesn't make the grinding noise

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this fan because of the grinding noise. It's very annoying. I would RMA it back if I hadn't recycle the box it came in; live and learn >_<

4 out of 5 eggsGood For Radiators

Pros: I bought a set of these fans for my 240mm radiator. I'm using a single set of fans, not a push pull configuration. I had hoped that they would reduce temps significantly compared to the set I have been using.

What drew me to these fans to begin with was a review I read stating that these fans outperformed the fans I was using by 30C. Well I knew that would never happen as temps rarely exceed 50C as is. But I was hoping for a 5C drop at least.

I tried connecting these fans via 4 pin and 3 pin fan headers as well as 4 pin Molex to fan power adapters and a fan controller. I prefer the simplicity of a fan controller, being able to turn a knob to select fan speed over software or temperature control.

The first thing that struck me about these fans is how well made they are. These are quality fans with virtually every possible feature you could want in a PC fan.

To install them you're going to need the custom mounting bolts for your radiator. Any decent radiator will come with the required bolts. Using a standard fan screw to tighten them down will work, but you risk damaging the vibration dampening material built around the mounting holes.

Corsair uses vibration dampening rubber around all the mounting points . These are high quality fans. They don't vibrate, buzz or whine. Even at 100% speed for extended periods or when they get hot.

The fan itself is made of a thick semi hard plastic that seems to be able to take quite a bit of abuse without breaking fan blades. I have my fans unprotected by any type of cover. I've accidentally poked my finger into them and have had wires and cables get jammed into them while running full speed and they barely seemed to notice.

On the lowest setting they're very quiet and perform quite well. On the highest setting they're still pretty quiet. Yes, you can hear them spinning, but they're still very quiet on 100%. There is a clear difference between the lowest and the highest RPM, but at no point would I consider these fans to be loud, noisy, irritating or obnoxious. My previous set of fans weren't loud, but they did have a high pitched whining sound to them at max speed. I have read a number of reviews for these fans stating that they're too loud. Well that was my primary concern when purchasing these fans. But in my opinion, even at 100% speed, they're completely tolerable. However, on a lower setting, they can be what I would call silent and still perform admirably.

These fans are truly ideal for pretty much any application that doesn't require hurricane force wind speed. I have owned fans that moved an incredible amount of air and were very loud. However, the amount of air these fans move is impressive, and their high static pressure does seem to make a difference. I can still feel good air flow on the opposite side of my radiator, which is 60mm thick.

These fans come with interchangeable colored rings. Swapping them only takes a few seconds. I'd much sooner have changeable colored rings than being stuck with an LED that doesn't match my color scheme.

Cons: This set doesn't come with any screws or bolts. You would think that they would come with a set of standard length radiator bolts, which is what they require to mount correctly.

These are PWM fans, but if there is a standard 3 pin version of these that's cheaper, I would definitely sooner have those for mounting on a radiator for graphics cards. If you're mounting up to a CPU loop, then I can definitely see the advantage. But as I'm using these for my GPU loop, it's unnecessary. Even if you are using these for a CPU loop, how many mother boards have more than one 4 pin PWM fan header?

The cord is pretty much standard length. I would like it to be longer. Especially since this fan is marketed pretty much exclusively for radiators. Usually radiators larger than 140mm are difficult to mount inside your case unless you have a case designed for water cooling. That's especially true if you have multiple radiators. I have 3 and only one fits inside my case. I've been putting a lot of thought into upgrading my case. But a true upgrade would cost a small fortune. Money better spent elsewhere. To improve my framerate or temperatures.

Other Thoughts: My System Specs:
i7 4790K 4.85 GHz
z97 OC Formula
16 GB DDR3 Trident X 2700 MHz
SLI GTX 980 Classified 1600/8600
1250w PSU
RAID 0 SSDs, RAID 0 HDDs
Blu Ray Burner
CPU 380i Block, Classi 980 Blocks
Dual Pumps, Dual Reservoirs, 2x240mm Rad, 280mm Rad

Based on reviews I had hoped for a decent drop in max temps for my GPUs. But after extensive testing at max fan speed I am getting roughly 2C lower temps on average, compared to the fans I was using previously. Any drop is good as I have been trying to figure out what is keeping temps from dropping. After eliminating the fans from the equation, I believe the pump to be the bottle neck in my GPU loop.

These fan cost a few dollars more than the Sickle Flow fans I have used for years, but as I have discovered, every component in your liquid cooling loop is equally important. A good thermal paste and quality components is the key. Each item will assist in reducing your temperatures. Lower temperatures means higher clock speeds and/or quieter fans.

These are quality fans. They move air well through radiators, they're quiet and the price isn't unreasonable. From this point on, I'm not cheaping out on fans. From my experience, fans tend to last a long time as long as you maintain them. So it's better to buy a quality fan, that will keep your temperatures as low as possible, rather than buy cheap fans and have to replace them or risk overheating components to save a few bucks.

The only reason I gave them 4 Eggs is because they didn't meet my expectations. They're still good fans, just not as good as I had hoped.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair SP series PWM Static Pressure Fans

Pros: -Decent airflow and pressure
-Quiet!
-Rubbler anti-vibration mounting brackets
-Changeable face-plates

Cons: These fans do not have LED lighting, this possibly might be a con for some.

Other Thoughts: I have these babies running in push config on a Corsair H100i GTX and they work flawlessly. They are quiet, have enough static pressure to get the job done, mounted with no problems, and look amazing in black and red with the MSI board I have.

5 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: They move air a lot of air, their not loud.

Cons: This is my second set my first set works great.
I am sure these were returned because the stickers were in different positions, the red rings have strange marks on them so I did not even put them and just returned them.

Other Thoughts: Why would these seem to be open.

2 out of 5 eggsLike others say MB cant detect RPM

Pros: -High RPM (according to corsair)
-"4 Pin PWM"
-Good Color Sceme
-Not enough pros to Buy again nor worth returning(glad i only got a pair)
-No rattling after 3 months (mounted vertical)

Cons: -The most annoying is i cant get my asus sabertooth 990fx to detect the speed of this fan it just shows a rediculous amount of digits that look somewhat like this 923453058384 and no other fan does this that ive seen..
I either have to ignor the fanspeed in bios or use as case fan.
In effect negating the pwm feature the main reason for buying. i dont know if its compatibility but being as i have the latest am3+ board from asus im perplexed as to why a simple rpm detection just wont work.
-i still dont know how fast my fans are actually going
- i had to provide my own screws to mount!

Other Thoughts: id like to see a fix but the only one i can see possible is a bios update or fan replacement(not worth it imo). if u bought more than one pair its worth the rma. i didnt experience the rattling as others have, nor did i rip the rubber mounts.i detected the weak design beforehand and decided to mount the fans on the inside of my hdd cage close to the mb in a corsair c70 case. i had to provide my own screws to mount. i cant recommend item. thiers better fans out there.

4 out of 5 eggsFan orientation seems to matter

Pros: Aesthetics/Airflow

Cons: Some rattling and certain RPM speeds.......see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I have noticed the same noise complaints as others regarding the grinding or rattling. It isn't overly bad, but after fiddling with them hooked up outside my case I found they do not produce that noise (at least in my case) when mounted as a traditional exhaust fan (i.e. at rear or front mounted on a case). Thought turn them over flat (as if to use as exhaust at the top of case or intake at the bottom) the noise returns. I have opened up this issue with Corsair and will await their feedback.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Fans good CFM Zero control

Pros: These fans keep everything in my pc below 50 deg C. They move alot of air and fast. Built solid and look slick. Easy to install.

Cons: Ok half the reason i bought these was because they are 4 pin and i need the RPM control. Theres non of that ive tried every software to read them and i can only see my CPU fan. Not even my asus mobo picks them up. I emailed corsair last week havent heard anything from them. Im very disappointed by this ill be returning them if this problem isnt solved. Oh and the rubber corners dont make them run silent still plenty of noise.

Other Thoughts: If anyone hears how to get the rpm to show up put it out how, this issue should be in the product description.
