An excellent, quiet choice for heatsinks and radiators

The wide body, low-pitch blades of the SP120 fans combined with the custom housing provides outstanding static pressure and airflow through heatsinks or radiators. With rubberized corners, a quiet and reliable Advanced Hydraulic Bearing, and PWM support for increased fan speed control, the SP120 truly is the strong, silent type.

Included in the box are the three user-replaceable colored rings, in red, blue, and white, so you can customize your fan to match your case's components. Each fan also features blacked-out wires and connectors, so your build looks elegant and clean when done. Available in single and twin packs.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: they cool my system well, and are quieter than my other fans. when they're running, I don't hear a difference.

Cons: The screws are a bit wonky. they won't screw in all the way, but they don't rattle at all, so it's tolerable.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet

Pros: Very quiet and pwm controlled. Move air through my 45mm thick radiators very well.

Cons: Had to paint the colored rings green to match the black/green theme of my case. It would have been nice if Corsair included black rings.

Other Thoughts: I have 4 of these fans as radiator fans. They are pwm controlled and typically run at 400 RPMs; I can't hear them at all. When I crank them up to max RPM they make a soft whisper, but are still very quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsbought even more

Pros: been buying quite a few of these things.. yeah yeah not the best on the market but they fit my build style quite well, about 60 of these fans in this current buildout working well, holding good temps on the radiators, and db's are defiantly tolerable.

Cons: could be cheaper

Other Thoughts: Now that Noctua offers thier quieter, better performing fans in new grey/dark grey color scheme that aren't just ugly tan/brown I will likely be using them in the next build unless these corsairs come down in price as I do have like $1000 wrapped up in these fans, ughh...

3 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: They look really good.
Got them much cheaper than list price.
They really are quiet.

Cons: Don't cool as good as the fans I bought them replace.
Cables aren't sleeved, for the price you pay they should be.

Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace 2 cougar cf-v12hps on my h60 closed looped cooler. There was nothing wrong with the cougars ... they are very quiet and move a lot of air. I just wanted to move them elsewhere in the case and use the SP120s for the radiator instead to make my pc quieter.

The SP120s actually raised the temp on my cpu. Prime95 tested took only 20 minutes to reach 62c on my overclocked fx-6300. Prior temp was 54c max with the cougars. My 6300 is at 4.2Ghz @ 1.3v, nothing crazy.

I went ahead and just put the Cougars back on and am using these as front case fans for my hdds and ssd replacing the noisy fans I had on there. My computer is now decently quiet, only able to hear the gpu fan now.

These might be a good replacement for some radiators and hsfs. They do normally get good reviews. In my situation they just didn't work as good as what I already had. I got them really cheap on newegg's e bay store so I'm not really complaining. Plus I accomplished what I set out to do, just not the way I intended.

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely quiet but one of the fans is defective.

Pros: Will use these fans as a replacement for stock H100i high performance fans. Fans are much quieter making overall NZXT H440 rig extremely quiet.

Cons: One of the fans in the twin pack exhibited bad bearing noise almost immediately after powering on for the first time after install. Sadly, new fans are still quieter than stock H100i fans, even with defect. RMA requested, I'll re-post and update rating after the process is complete.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had much time to mess with it but I've noticed that the H100i isn't changing fan speed at all. Stock fans were set on a reactive profile to increase speed under heavier load. The SP120's have have stayed right around 1315rpm constantly. This is just under they're stated max and is most likely an issue with the shoddy Corsair Link software. Additionally, CPU temps are about 5 to 7 degrees hotter under load. I expected slightly hotter temps after switching from the stock high performance fans but am still well under the 8350's max temp.

4 out of 5 eggsDefinitely quiet

Pros: 4-pin PWM connector (compatible with 3-pin motherboard connectors), quiet.

Cons: They don't move a LOT of air, but simply enough. They're advertised as a "quiet" fan over everything else, so it shouldn't come as a surprise. I guess the bundled color rings are available in only 3 colors (blue, red, and white) and only attach to one side of the fan - it would be nice to have other color choices and, possibly, to either (or both) side(s) of the fan.

I mention it only because I have to put *something* in the "cons" box.

Other Thoughts: I like to use these on the radiators of the Corsair H-series closed-loop coolers for a very quiet cooling solution. Usually, I'll use the H80i or the H100i and these fans in push-pull when I can. The bundled fans in the coolers do a decent job on their own but I much prefer the PWM control and the lower RPM of these fans.

If you let the motherboard or the H-series coolers manage the speed of these fans, you're probably going to have noise from other, louder fans from other hot components (video card, probably) drown out the tiny amount of noise these will make.
